Indeed! Thanks for sharing those clip grabs. The 25mm looks like a scene from the Force Awakens or something. Well Done!
I've heard the ZF/ZE are poor wide open and too "clinical" which has kept me away from them. I have used Zeiss Practical PB Mount also which are fantastic. The Zeiss Practica PB Mount 28mm f2.8 is a steal if you find it, just a pain to adapt. It's as sharp, if not sharper than the Contax Zeiss 28mm I used to own and goes for less $120 or less if you can find it attached to a poor camera. Cheers!

No, not without an external recorder. But with the experimental build and 14 Bit Lossless, file sizes are dramatically smaller without any loss in quality. Also if you use MLVFS file system for post, the files open up in Resolve without any transcoding to DNGs. The whole process is really quite simple now.
Honestly, all Zeiss lenses, I’ve tested, work great with ML Raw. I’ve tested Rollei Zeiss, Contax Zeiss and the ZF Classics.
Although, the newer ZF versions are a bit sharper, I prefer the West German made Rollei Zeiss. I find they have the perfect mix of sharpness, color separation and character with my 5D3.

Thanks Alex. Contax Zeiss series do work wonders! I used to own the 50 1.4 and was inspired to collect these again after seeing them being used very nicely with the URSA Mini. They really create a cinematic feel/vibe!
    Cheers

I recently purchased the Original BMPCC and have only tested it gently using a Lumix 20mm f1.7. I'm waiting for a Metabones Speedbooster to arrive to officially test it with my awesome lens pile, but so far I can say the EOS M RAW is sharper and more detailed. People describe the BMPCC as having "cinematic" image due to its soft cinema look. it's like someone stuck an invisible 1/8 Black Pro-mist filter in front of the sensor. Until the other gears arrive for the BMPCC, I really do prefer the EOS M.

Agree with this. Run & Gun Anamorphic is the way to go with all these new, light weight, mirrorless cameras these days. Having great luck with the MOSTY SE 16mm 2x [GOLD], very nice anamorphic adapter indeed, rally sharp wide open, faster focus than my taking lens.

    Hey @Rikoshet
The reason I don't love big anamorphics is because although they cost you less at first, in the long run you'll be wrecked by hauling them around. Plus support gear and stress on your taking lens and camera mount.
They usually have far minimum focus (past 4m), and not necessarily go wider than their smaller counterparts. Flares are a different universe and I lack info on that from lack of experimentation.
    Good luck!

I think color grading should be allowed. What if canon users want to use EOS HD profiles or cinestyle? Some of these look flat.

Best cam for me in my opinion. A lot of people are seeing its true potential and what beautiful footage it can create for the price.

I have two EOS M's and have had two 5D2's, the 5D is cleaner than the EOS M without the speedbooster at high ISOs. Pop a speedbooster on the EOS M and then they're pretty close with the 5D slightly at the upper hand. Honestly, I don't get the point of shooting at high ISO's (unless it's your base ISO e.g. 800). If you must shoot in the dark, just use some cheap lights, an iphone screen or something and then add de-noising and it's fine.
