Which came first?
The EF-Version if I remember correctly. I bought one used a couple of years ago and still use it from time to time. great image, solid files, but it needs a cage and a solid battery solution.

This Emulation really looks good. A bit too much saturation for my taste, but I like the blooming diffusion and the grain in the example clips.
-
I guess it can be used for some simulated tilt shift lens effect, but extending the DOF-Effect is a tricky thing. It might be better to get as much as possible with aperture and distance to the object and maybe put a power window on your object of interest, and pushing exposure/contrast a bit in post in resolve.
-
If you wanted this very saturated look, it is very dominant and to strong for my taste though. Is this a 10-Bit-Codec?
But I didn´t like the fake Blur. Like TomTheDP said, it looks artificial and it doesn´t really blend in nicely.

The BMMCC is very different, compared to the Micro Studio 4k.
Basically, the Micro Cinema Camera is the sensor of the original Pocket in a small Box, but with 60p capabilities and 3:1 CinemaDNG-RAW.
A really "cinematic" little Camera, whereas the Micro Studio 4k is supposed to be used in another kind of (studio)-setup. Recording is only possible externally and the sensor is different as well.

Sigma FP2 with...tilt screen, 4k 60p 10 bit 422 internal, hotshoe with clip on viewfinder. And IBIS. I will let you keep the electronic only shutter. This time. Thanks.
Sigma FP2 with a cube-formfactor and a top-screen 😀

I really like it. Sure, you could tweak the color/brightness of text and background. But it is already easier on the eyes.
I use the dark-mode in almost any app that gives me this option.

Thats interesting. As a Blackmagic-User it´s no surprise that the Pocket 4K takes the first place, even though I thought that the GH5 would be the "winner" here. The fact that canon is really underrepresented in this list shows a lot. I made the switch from the 550D/T2i to the Blackmagic-Cameras some years ago and never looked back. I do own a Panasonic G70/G7, but more for fun, I don´t really like the ergonomics for Video. Still, your list shows that it´s the smaller formfactor, that is of most interest here on the forum. No RED, no Sony F/FS-, no Canon Cinema, no Ursa Mini, no EVA/Varicam.
We´ll see how this continues. It´s been a crazy year for Camera-Releases as well.

Guten Tag @Neumann Films
great to hear that your 12K URSA is on its way. I´m looking forward to the first samples.
What I´ve already seen from BMD and John Brawley looked awesome. I just like the BM Color-Science and BRAW aswell. Back then it was CDNG and ProRes with the BMCC and the original Pocket, ahead of Canon here. Now it is the great Codec in combination with an enormous amout of recording-modes and really high-res formats.

I still own my GoPro 3 Black and use it from time to time as a overhead drum camera on concerts, so I´m still kinda watching what GoPro is doing.
Still, I´m waiting for the right features to buy another one. Better codecs, higher bitrate, bigger sensor would be awesome. Until then, it is not the right tool for me.

Clickbait is a specific form of marketing. Not all marketing is clickbait. Clickbait is a much more perverse form of marketing and I would say could be achieved by other means. Almost every time I click on clickbait, I'm let down by the content. I would also say that many of these Youtube "influencers" didn't start with clickbait. It was gradual and now so many are doing it, the experience has become crap. Clickbait is usually just a crutch for poor content IMO.
Yeah, I´d say for me clickbait can be something that promises to be XY and the only delivering a small percentage of that or even nothing at all.
If something is marketed in a grand way and then delivering on it, I wouldn´t call it clickbait.

A stupid faked shocked face.
A clickbait title.
The ‘problem’ with YouTube is that whilst the quality levels and content of some channels is exceptional, the sea of utter dross gets ever bigger.
I try to exclude those channels from my youtube-account the best I can.
The titles and clickbait is one thing, but the studid shocked-faces is something I can´t stand. Even if something would be of interest for me, I won´t watch it once some of those factors come into play.
Basically, as long as users/consumers continue to watch content without reflecting on it, its producer(s) and what its goal is, this stuff will continue to be made. Sure, some of the channels are pure marketing/advertisements and there is nothing wrong with it (as long as it is presented for what it really is), but pseudo-objective unboxings, sponsorings etc. is bothering me.
I do watch a lot on youtube, from different genres. From music to camera-equipment, movie-stuff and diy-videos. But a lot of them I will not watch because of certain rules I set for myself.

I like the 12-40 f2.8 a lot, so I don´t really need another Olympus. But I can recommend it for videowork.
Works great with the original Pocket camera aswell as the Pocket 4k.
Especially the manual focus mode is awesome.

Stay with your NX1, it is awesome. So invenstments in Audio- and Lighting-Equipment would be the smart choice.

There are a number of SD cards that work, but not many can record at 60fps if you want to use it for that. I have tried the Kingston Canvas React 128gig card and it's fine for ProRes and Raw 3:1 up to 30 fps but no higher.
I have the Canvas React as well, and mine does 50p in 3:1 Raw. 60p is only possible with my older Sandisk Extreme Pro.

I use the Viltrox Focal Reducer on my XT1 for Photography. Works great with AF and the 17-40mm, 50mm f1.4 and 85mm f1.8

No, Fuji X series are APS-C cameras so that's a 1.5x crop over Full Frame in both stills & video (4K60p adds a crop on top).
That´s why I said the XT3 in combination with the viltrox focal reducer to EF, but he doesn´t only have EF-lenses
-
Your lenses are all over the place.
If you´d own EF Lenses, I´d say you get a Viltrox Fuji-EF Focal reducer and go with the XT-3.
Maybe going with the MFT Mount + Adapters Route is the best way.
I wouldn´t take the G9 off the list. Yeah, it can have a modern look, but with the right settings you can make the footage very flexible and less "digital".
And even if you can´t get the digital look go away, try a Black Pro Mist 1/4.

The P4K and P6K can be bought at a great price. So much so that they probably undercut their cine line up block cameras.
So what can BM do moving forward? They're cameras are priced at the lower end. They can't come out with a FF camera that checks all the spec boxes and keep up with the C500 or even the R5.
If they jump the shark with FF and release a SPECS camera they devalue the rest of their products.
A logical Evolution would be to bring the Ursa Mini Line to the next level. The UMPro G1 had some great changes, the G2 brought them further, but did not change the max. resolution.
Since the Ursa Mini Pro is a great camera and basically BMD´s Flaggship, they´d probably want to refresh this line, after treating the former Pocket/BMCC/BMPC-Users with the Pocket 4K and maybe even more so, the 6K.
So releasing an Ursa Mini Ultra Pro with an FF-Sensor, 8K, advanced Framerate-Options, electronic ND, flexible Recording-Media etc. could be the way to separate the Pocket from the Ursa Line.
Keeping the highest resolution and/or Fullframe with the top of the line models, while still delivering great value with the pocket line.
As for the MicroCinemaCamera, the original Version still offers a great image. Basically a better original Pocket without a Display and with a cube formfactor.
Now sure, ZCAM kinda did a similar thing, but I think that a small BRAW-Cube with a good 4K sensor could still be attractive.
But I guess today we´ll see a new URSA.
Filters?

I do use filters for certain projects.
UV-Filters are on all of my lenses as a protection of the front element.
I use NDs to keep the aperture low. I don´t really like to film wide open, but one step down still needs NDs, especially outside if I want to keep 180° shutter angle.
I use the Tiffen Black Pro mist 1/4 and the Cinebloom 10% for diffusion. With some of my vintage lenses I don´t really need them, as they already give a softer look to the image, but it can be used as a effect.
I mostly use them with the Sigma 18-35 and 50-100, because they are sharper. I started to use them for photos aswell. You can form the light leaking across your subject in very organic ways.
I have a polarizer for my photography aswell, that I sometimes use outside for landscape or when water/rain is included.
Overall, with ND and Diffusion you can counter the "video look" to a certain degree. But only if framing and what you´re filming supports this. But they can definitely help.
