According to L-Rumors' website it will be a new camera from Panasonic this year, a new cinema camera called "S1V".
The camera will have the same form factor of S1H, but finally enhanced DFD autofocus, and other interesting features.
I dunno if it could happen, but I think it's possible, this is the link of the rumor:

Advanced DFD doesnt sound very optimistic. I wish they would just add PDAF everyone is asking for the past 4 years.

Dear Emanuel, all Italians are at home, me too. Hope we'll have some good news about it soon, I hope you're at home too, safe. I'm ok for now, I'm trying to be informed about new cameras despite COVID-19, but I know everyone having hard times in the world. In Naples there are no so many cases, instead North Italy has a more dangerous situation...

This could be epic  if the spec is true plus DR on current S1H is killer 14stops

Yes, but it's different than how the GH5 line works. You have to have the camera in AFS mode for touch focus to work, as it doesn't work in MF mode. Took me awhile to figure this out ?!

    Thanks Emanuel,
I was reading the manual and there's no mention about it, so I feel a bit confused.
I hope someone else can also confirm this!

Danilo, once there's AF, I guess there's no reason to be locked during recording for sure : ) Blackmagic Pocket camera series with a much more incipient autofocus have it, 4K & 6K coupled to native glass or lenses with AF functionality at least, so...
    Ti saluto,

I'm still tryin' to acquire more information about this camera, and I've a question for you, can't find in the online manual: Does the touch focus works while recording, so you can change the focus point when you want? Or the focus can be only set before start recording?

Emanuel, I'm interested about this camera, but I will wait till NAB to take decision.
I'm not sure but I'd like this combo: AG-CX350 and Lumix S1, it's my own strategy based on my needs, but I admire what Blackmagic is doing, I'm curious about the new codec Blackmagic RAW, but I use barely DA VINCI RESOLVE and for now, ya know, compatibility issues, I'm more confident with Premiere.

Dear Emanuel, thanks for suggestions. I think RAW exceeds my needs as Canon RAW format. I've tested Prores from Blackmagic and it's very good, very fluid on my iMac Pro and you can make some good CC without problems. I wish that Panasonic would have included Prores also in S1 but the next firmware with 4:2:2 would be sufficient for me. However I'll take some decision after NAB in April! Un saluto al Portogallo, spero avrai modo di ritornare qui, nel prossimo futuro. ? This forum is very interesting! ?

Hello there! This is my new test with C200. It's handled without any tripod so it's a bit shaky, I've made Color Correction in Adobe Premiere CC 2018 with Magic Bullet and some tweaks in lumetri, with HDR on - shot in Rawlight. Please let me know what do you think about it, in particular in color correction that I've made. Just remember it's just my fourth test in Rawlight and I'm still trying to figure out what to do to make better images. If you have suggestions, tricks etc, let me know them in comments below. Thanks! :-)

Yeah When I had my Panasonic AF100A it took me forever to get anything I was not ashamed to show anyone the footage LoL. These higher end cameras are Way too complicated to just Point n Shoot. They have too damn many options. And you trying Raw on top of that, well I am not surprised you are having some problems.
Maybe just doing the C Log thing with a LuT for awhile to get used to it might help. Dynamic Range isn't everything. It is only as of late many cameras have over 10, 11 stops and there is some fabulous footage from them out there. Heck the original C100 is a good example. 8bit and no Raw. Just C Log to help. Now that is a good help mind you.

Danilo Del Tufo reacted to mercer in The Canon C200 is here and its a bomb!
I actually like the look of the RawLite footage very much, although it is a little too saturated for my tastes. I think the biggest “issue” with this test is the randomness of it. It seems you are really trying to work out the kinks of using a new cinema camera. So, I’m unsure if using an event like this is the best time and place to sort it out?
If I were you, I’d find the most peaceful, beautiful place in your town. When the light is perfect, go there, with your tripod and shoot no more than 3-5 minutes of footage... edit that down to a 1-2 minute video and correct and grade the footage.
I also think that just using Lumetri for your tests may yield better results. Keep the correction/grade as simple as possible.
Also, are you shooting cLog? Because a simple cLog to Rec709 LUT should give you a great starting point and then just a light contrast and saturation adjustment will get you the rest of the way there. And... doesn’t the C200 have built in ND filters?
  24. Thanks

Too saturated and too sharp yet for my liking. It does not even look like Canon footage. You are trying Too hard I think. You are just going to have to shoot, shoot, shoot, and edit, edit, edit to get it to Your liking. I guess maybe we are trying to hard to get it to OUR liking LoL!
