  1. Confirmed that the S10 can record in h.254 10-bit HDR. I does a great job actually, only downside is you don't have that great of manual controls; pro video mode is gone.
  2. Oh my hell.. the "viewfinder" is just a large square cut out? ?
  3. File Size: 105.88 MB Image Size: 3840 x 2160 Frame Rate: 29.35 Source Audio Format: 48000 Hz - compressed - Stereo Project Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - Stereo Total Duration: 00;00;37;25 Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.0 Alpha: None Video Codec Type: HEVC 10 bit 4:2:0 Variable Frame Rate Detected I was wondering why my HDD didn't like the cell footage in a test, it's 10 bit. Dynamic range seems a little better than standard, it (hdr10+) over exposes by almost 3 stops vs standard. They pushed an update that lets you record hdr10+ with all three cameras/sensors now. My ultrawide lens is soft as hell, I compared it to my wife's s10 and hers looks great.
  4. Just got my S10+ 512GB, noticed a few things. The pro video mode is gone in the default app (use filmic pro anyway). If you use the HDR10+ mode, you cannot use the telephoto lens or the ultra wide angle, only the "normal" 28mm or whatever it is. Then the ultrawide angle in video seems a tad soft, maybe there is NR or something by default. Overall, it seems much better than my S8+ I had. The screen is amazing.
  5. There are no admins & Andrew doesn't care. That's why this place is so beautiful compared to other forums
  6. Apple will continue to have the best developer support until they completely crash and burn haha.
  7. Still more than an eos r ?
  8. New Samsung phones reportedly have very accurate screens now. https://www.yahoo.com/news/shocker-samsung-galaxy-s10-best-163628579.html
  9. They will invite all the ones they dont like to a presser in Cuba & have their passports burned.
  10. I just remember hearing that in a nikon users YT video reviewing the z7. He was calling for nikon to do the same as canon with their adapter. I then read it on a forum. I havent researched it, only heard that from people not happy with the nikon adapters performance.
  11. They also apparently didnt put an AF motor in their adapter like Canon did
  12. I mean, you can get decent photos at the 3 fps or whatever the eos r does in ai servo, but it will be much harder than 16 fps with a sports camera shooting sports
  13. I saw two people filming on a gimbal. One on a z6, other a7 iii
  14. I think they might be students. There are about a dozen video cameras on the floor, most for CBS. It really doesnt look like the EOS R's are shooting video; it's possible they are doing a few clips for social media.
  15. See mostly 1DX II cameras with a 70-200 on, few 5D IV, but I was really surprised to see a couple EOS R cameras. Didn't expect anyone to be using that body for a paid job in action. Arent they around 3 fps with ai servo?
  16. Nice one, how many pros switch to a shitty canon rp? 6d ii has excellent dr? Compared to what? A toaster oven? There are many situations where you have to shoot backlit for example; you don't always have the luxury to bracket. If you are a jpg hero, maybe you won't notice a difference. It is the fact that the a7 ii is $300 less, has ibis, much better dr etc. That camera was released 5 years ago and canon still can't beat it?! They could make a decent modern camera, but why would they when fools will buy decade old technology for higher prices? They wouldn't even put 24p in it! You can make excuses for canon all you want, but I won't. If I wanted to waste $1,300, I would throw it on red in Vegas.
  17. My 2 year old cell phones raw files have better DR & can shoot 24p ?
  18. Look at dpreview forums on canon>r. It is infested with rp threads; the noobs are very happy to over pay for junk. This is why canon does what it does, zombies buy it anyway, just like apple when they don't innovate anymore.
  19. I personally hate sony cameras for video. Their 8 bit baked in colors, jittery unsmooth AF, over sharpening, bad motion cadence etc. That is why I moved over to the 1DX II.
  20. I would go a7iii, unless you want to do it for a living. The 1dx ii even used is at least $2,000 more; it is very smooth and has excellent shadow recovery in 4:2:2 4k etc. I think it is the best hybrid 8 bit camera. If i didn't do action, I would probably use the GH5, that camera produces amazing results for the size/cost.
