  1. 1DX ii at 0:17 & a RED camera on the zipline at 1:17 Also; you should check out Jimmy Chin's work. He is in that specialized video and just won an oscar for 'Free Solo', they used the 1DX II, C300 etc. I believe. The man is amazing at outdoor/adventure docs & promos.
  2. The footage looks cool, I like what you have done with it, but I would suggest one thing. The jump cuts seem too quick and into about the same thing. Check this out, this is how they do it 1:33 & 2:11 of this video
  3. The pros that do videos for mountain bike companies use zipline systems to get a lot of the shots. Or they run like a madman through ankle breaking terrain with a 2 handed gimbal. It can get pretty advanced making these kind of videos commercially. I have ziplined my 1dx ii & the autofocus worked perfectly. You can also use a tablet to pull focus if you dont use tracking. The 4:2:2 8 bit actually looks decent; camera is just heavy & expensive new. I know pros like Jimmy Chin use the 1dx ii alot for shots the cinema cameras are too hard to use.
  4. Ok, Someone finally made a video on the HDR10+ recording and knows a little about gamma correction for other screens. Looks like a decent log profile on the galaxy s10, I just got the s10+ 512gb.
  5. Why is that lady looking at the huge dog in a lusting way? Do we need to save this poor dog?

Here, I made this for you.

    Galaxy Fold

Here we go, this should be a better visual than that boring link. I would pay $600 more over the samsung fold to not have an original iphone embedded on the outside display lol
  8. Looks like a camera sex toy, if that is such a thing ?

  10. That's funny some are over saturated, mine was so desaturated. I double checked there wasn't anything accidentally enabled in accessibility
  11. Nope, I use the CINEMA or basic profile on my S8+. I compared my xs max to the S8+/iphone X/XR and it looked like a yellow tooth. I also held it next to a pro grade, calibrated monitor and its white balance looked like 4500k, very yellow. The screen also looked very dim/dull, even with Auto Brightness off. When I compared it to my dads iphone x, which is a samsung display and not potentially an lg, the x was perfect. There used to actually be a thing with old retina MBP 15" laptops, that there was indeed glue that needed to dry. Before it dried in a few weeks, it had a yellowish tint. This phone was manufactured over 3 months ago, so that's not a factor either. This xs max also had lower contrast than my wifes xr which was weird as hell. Pure black was black, but everything else looked like it was in the wrong color profile i.e. if you export in Adobe RGB and look at it on an SRGB screen. Funny thing was; if you tilted the phone even 20 degrees from straight on, it showed the correct white balance. That doesn't work. I tried it in multiple ways and it actually reduces your brightness. Kills your color accuracy as well.
  12. Had a galaxy s8+, it didn't do 4k recording well. Got the iphone xs max yesterday; I found that it starts lagging while recording 4k 24p and panning. It seems like it doesn't have enough horsepower to process its stabilization with a pan or some other movements. There was a hissing noise while recording video, tried it in many scenarios. Lastly, the screen has a slight yellow tint, I turned off true tone and checked everything in the display accessibility. Tried changing the tint, but it ruins the brightness and messes up the color accuracy more. Screen was also much dimmer & lower contrast than it should be, compared to my older phone which was brighter? Apparently there are tons of threads on this & it might be from LG making some of the panels. Going to go return it and get the s10+. Tried the s10+ at the store yesterday; the phone seems pretty nice, but it still has more of a wobbly jello effect than the iphone sometimes. Tried recording in the HDR10+ mode, it was interesting. I noticed a little better DR and the colors were extremely vivid, not sure if I really like that. I wonder how hard it would be to convert that HDR10+ to a regular gamma so you can watch on other screens?
  13. That test has a conflict of interest, but the videos I have seen, show that it does have good DR. Who knows what the exact number is lol.
  14. Filmic pro tested & got 12 stops of DR with their profile on the XS & 9 stops on the S9. It will be interesting to see what the s10 will do, probably still lose tbh. https://***URL not allowed***/filmic-logv2-first-look-12-stops-of-dynamic-range-on-your-new-iphone/
  15. I just saw that the s10 new stabilization mode (digital) is only available in 1080p. Not sure how the iphone xs & s10 4k video stabilization compare. I have watched a bunch of videos, but not that much has been covered with video yet.
  16. I wonder if some apps like filmic pro can keep it enabled, they probably don't have access to it though. Watched a bunch of videos here and there on the iphone xs stabilization, it seems that the iphones still have a jello effect sometimes. It happens when you move faster than a slow walk from what I have seen. The s10 doesn't have that, but I watched a video of it at night and it does the same thing the gopro does. There is a weird shaking happening in lines at night from the digital IS.
  17. Is there a way to keep the HDR video running non-stop on the iphone xs? I tried one at the store and it would only kick on when there was an extreme contrast situation.
  18. I dont understand why apple never makes an industry standard resolution screen. They didnt do 1080 & now 1440p. They wont add support for vp9 so you cant watch 1440p videos on YT lol
  19. What do you guys think will yield the best result? Iphone XS HDR frame combining or Galaxy S10 HDR10?
  20. Lucky you didn't have a sony fanboy check your gear and spit on the sensor ?
  21. I would be more worried about the TSA agent. I had one break a gimbal trying to figure out what it was. Another agent cut a hole in my sweatpants pocket; I put my phone in it later, only to have it fall out on concrete lol.
  22. The RODE VideoMicro worked really good on the eos r, but not on the 5D/1D cameras because of the bad preamps. If you are using a canon dslr, you will need a mic with its own preamps.
  23. I outlined what was said & how you couldn't take a little indirect joke. People can go back through & read all the other crap if they please. Just remember; you immediately called for it, after having zero sense of humor, then cried when you got exactly what you so randomly called for. I'm sick of responding to your nonsense.
  24. Lets see, you posted an unrealistic chart for real world use at +6EV, I made a joke "I dont always raise exposure, but when I do, I increase it by 6 stops" - Dosekies Cameraman. Then I refuted that the 6,000 level sony camera is not better than DPAF in video autofocus, because they still pulse. I then concurred with your main point, that the DR is a joke in the 6D II, which is the same sensor in this camera (eos rp). So I don't even know why you got all sensitive to begin with. *You then Immediately respond with: "You can talk your shit all day dude, show me your photography work, I’ll show you mine. You might be surprised. For sure for your cat pictures you are right you won’t see any difference in DR." This is me talking shit all day "dude"? You really want to instantly try to call someone out on "photo creds" for saying this: "I dont always raise exposure, but when I do, I increase it by 6 stops" - Dosekies Cameraman Bullcrap the AF is better than DPAF for video, still drops it like it's hot. Some people like pulsing things (for pleasure?) but I prefer my AF not to ever do it. For the record; I also think the 6d ii photo DR is unacceptable trash." How was that even photo related on this forum? You are a joke. It was you who asked for it by calling me out first, immediately after you couldn't take a little joke (posted above). You instantly resorted to "show me your photography work, ill show you mine derrrr." You kept going though, after disagreeing on landscape bracketing, I said "Look, I am not going to get into a personal fight on your creative choices. I obviously do not agree, nor really care. Do what makes you happy." But you still wouldn't drop it there and said "Right because that's exactly what you did with your first post. Good to see you came to your senses though." Don't instigate stuff and call for a "photography work" comparison and cry afterwards like you are a victim. Also, there is something called the "fair use law", maybe you should look it up before you make threats. You also went on about how you use a d850 etc. then claim your photos are from a $500 camera, nice try. Those screens were from some of your last pics and I haven't posted my "best work" because it is commercial. I posted examples of shadow recovery (contradicting your claims on Canon) and how the sensor captures natural light, even in backlit settings.
