I agree.  Face ID seems like a gimmick and actually a downgrade in terms of practical functionality.  Apple has been almost as frustrating as Canon the past few years.

Android only for now but iOS app coming October.
I noticed the phone battery drained from 95% to 0% over night because I left the LukiLink plugged in to the USB port... They could do with fixing that in the final version. Remember, my hardware is pre-production!

Here is the result of my research this summer, simplified as much as possible:

Energy and Information Control in the World Today

    Flow of Information and Control

    World Power
Our current money is a form of energy accounting. Energy used over time is Power: physics. The world currently runs on the petrodollar: actual energy (oil) and FIAT accounting (Federal Reserve Notes, or FRNs). FIAT is latin for “let it become” and is a kind of IOU. It’s purely an accounting for energy exchange, not based on real tangible assets.
    Who Rules the World
The people who create and control the money supply rule the world: the trillionaire+ Rulers. In the USA it’s the people who control the Federal Reserve (FED), a private banking cartel, which contrary to its name is not under government control. Which means it is not managed by the will of the people of the USA, but rather transnational banking interests. And for every dollar created, we go further into debt and the Rulers become more powerful.
The FED creates money out of thin air every time the government borrows money, and in turn every time consumers borrow money from the banks. A major talking point is “reducing the national debt”. However the way the system is currently structured, it’s impossible to pay off the debt. Because of the way the FED makes money on interest for the loans, it’s impossible to pay it off. If the government and consumers stop borrowing money, the system will collapse. The system is entering the terminal stage, meaning that in the near future it will collapse, similar to what happened with the Great Depression, except this time it would happen on a global scale with far greater consequences.
Why the USA Seems to be Going Crazy Right Now
The USA and it’s allies have the most powerful combined military in the world, by far. If a world war starts, it will provide cover for the Rulers to restructure and create a new monetary system of control while the militaries save us from whatever threat the Rulers have manufactured. While it may seem hard to believe, every major war since the USA was formed was funded by the Rulers. And they funded both sides, including Germany for WWII, and even helping to create communism by supporting Lenin in Russia. The strategy is brilliantly simple: create internal and external division, and fund both sides until they can provide a solution which ends up giving them even more power and control.
The Rulers created the terrorism and migrant crises', and now that enough people have realized this, they are concentrating most of their energy in weakening the USA by creating division in any and every way possible. Civil war is clearly one of their goals, as is world war III. They tried with Ukraine and Syria, and now they are focused on North Korea (Iran is still in play as well).
The Rulers are brilliantly ruthless. They are lead by psychopaths and sociopaths, who have no mercy or empathy. From a systems power and control analysis, this makes perfect sense that they would rise to the top of power. They can do whatever it takes to win. These same kinds of people also control many top corporations, which are legally ‘individuals’ operating as psychopaths: do whatever it takes to create a profit for the benefit of the shareholders.
The reason it appears almost impossible for change to happen in Washington DC, is for two primary reasons. First, the system is completely corrupt, held together by blackmail and bribes. It’s pretty much impossible to prosecute one or a few without the whole system blowing up as pretty much everyone is in on the game. It’s like asking a gang of criminals to prosecute themselves for crimes they have committed: they’ll protect each other and make the case that no crimes have actually been committed. Second, the system is controlled by the Rulers, not the people. The two-party system is a charade.
The Rulers understand that millions of people now realize what is going on, and civil unrest is rapidly accelerating. It would appear that marching on DC and demanding change would be a solution. However that could start civil war and marshal law would be declared. This would result in a complete loss of liberty and consolidation of power for the Rulers. They have bunkers all over the world, including some as large as underground cities complete with shopping mails and functioning replacement governments. At least some of them will survive all out global nuclear war and/or biological war based on state of the art targeted bio weapons.
The Rulers are a combination of people born into wealth as well as  some of the most intelligent people on Earth. They are now using real-time artificial intelligence, operating on social media intelligence gathering, to shape the world view in real-time! They realize that the average person is, by definition, of average intelligence, and historically, large populations haven’t done well to manage themselves or resources without a strong power structure keeping it all together. In their defense, they have a valid point. However, their agenda means to control the population’s behavior, as well as the population's numbers, by any means necessary. Deep down they truly believe they are doing the right thing. While wars are terrible and many have suffered as the result of forced regime changes, overall the world has been more peaceful and prosperous than all of prior recorded history, which has resulted in an unsustainable population explosion.
The question for us all, is there a better way? Must we suffer through another global economic disaster if the petrodollar collapses? Must we suffer through a civil or global war in order to facilitate another reset?
Crypto currency is seeing massive growth, and people are getting rich from it. While a friend recently boasted of buying a new home from cryptocurrency profits, I suspect crypto may have been developed by the Rulers. Why? Because it was released from a secret source, supposedly from a single person, Satoshi Nakamoto (not a real name). While it’s certainly possible that a single genius developed it and released it anonymously, it’s also possibly the result of a large group of people’s work, as a way to start transitioning away from the petrodollar and providing as-yet-unknown ways of maintaining control of a system which on the surface appears to be fully decentralized. Such a crypto system could contain unseen back doors, especially if NSA level folks worked to help develop it.
From a simulation and systems point of view, it would appear that developing many small systems of management and control, which loosely interact to form a larger system, would be a viable ‘better way’. Such as the original idea for the United States. Currently that system doesn’t work, and the Federal government controlled by the Rulers have ultimate authority and control everything, including mainstream media to shape the people’s thoughts through well understood psychology.
A peaceful solution would be to walk away from the system. Everyone leave the cities and live in smaller rural communities which are self-sufficient: making their own food, clean water, shelter, and anything else they need to live a good life. By using barter or some other system of energy accounting, no taxes would be paid other than minimal taxes as required by current law for land, etc. The Rulers realize this, and communes in the past which have tried this have been labeled cults and once large enough have been ended by the Rulers.
    So What can We Do?
With a goal of minimizing global suffering, and to promote a good life for as many people as possible, the first step is education. For as many people as possible to understand how the global system currently works, and who’s doing what and why in terms of information exchange.
A financial system reset is needed: can we figure out a workable soft reset, so we can prevent war? The difference today vs. the past is the internet is a giant, intelligent being. With the combined intelligence of everyone online, along perhaps with artificial intelligence systems, we should be able to develop a stable, healthy, and sustainable system that has never existed before. For the so-called Age of Aquarius: a new way of living not based on consumption, which is unsustainable on a planetary scale.
As media creators, first and foremost our mission in education is healing division. Once we stop taking what’s going on in Washington as a real, functioning system, vs. the Theater for Division, we can collectively focus on what’s necessary to improve the system without collapse. Perhaps this starts with the FED and financial systems, including a restructuring of the tax system. Simplifying and streamlining the system to remove hidden wastes of energy (money) will result in massive improvements for the quality of millions of lives, all over the world.
In summary, we the people of Earth must develop a new way of living sustainably, which we can test via artificial intelligence and simulation systems before trying it out on the world. At the same time, these modeling systems can give us real-time feedback in ways never before possible to fine tune the system’s performance to more quickly reach working solutions.

It has amazing dynamic range even in Rec.709.
It has remarkably low rolling shutter compared to Sony.
The 10bit files are amazing in low light with lots of 'depth' and richness to the shadows. It helps that it's so good in low light anyway with very clean ISO 3200.
Tons of features, I will write a guide about it but it will take a while.
Review coming soon, I know it's been ages but I will get round to it!

Samin reacted to HelsinkiZim in How do you afford your gear?
In Finland it is quite difficult to start a business regulation-wise. They require a lot of upfront payments tax-wise, and you get cut off from any social benefits whatsoever. I find this worrisome when I am looking for staff as they usually prefer to not work, rather than work for random gigs. Another discussion for another forum...
However, I used to just borrow or rent cams in the UK and US on weekends and save up for gear from the net profits from weddings and events.
Here in Finland, I went through a government funded process the lasted 2 years, where you take daily classes in Finnish and attend business advisory meetings. If you are successful in applying for business support (i.e. have a good business plan, education and experience in the industry) they give you a grant of around 10 000 which they pay you every month in installments over a 6 month period. Its called 'starttiraha' for Finnish folk interested. Literally translates to 'start-up money'.
I took out a loan based on this fixed future income, and will break even sometime this summer based on equipment and living expenses. However, I would have preferred to have had a more fluid entry as it would have allowed me to test camera systems. But I needed a quick start, and have sold off most of my purchases that were surplus (silly) and have reinvested in one system.
Regardless of the grant, I still would have taken an unsecured loan - but only because I have done this business for over 10 years and am comfortable with sales, IM and SEO. I also do not know how to do anything else. If your quote is too high, I am the asshole around the corner with a better deal. Not fancy, but I don't have time for pleasantries - and I deliver (for corporate and events) because I have nothing to lose.
Fingers crossed things keep rolling along...
Edit: and the last time I spent more than 30 euros on myself for anything other than camera gear and support was sometime last year. I buy second hand clothes and rock a Huwei P9. I bought that phone only because it has a classy camera for instagram BTS - otherwise I would still be flip-phone. 30 euros was for small bottle of Paco Rabanne cologne. Even that I felt guilty about. Go figure. All net profit nowadays goes to wifey and the bambinos!

Samin reacted to BTM_Pix in And For My Next Trick....... (aka Why I was hacking the GX80 in the first place)
So as I've hinted more than a few times in the other thread, the discovery of the Cinelike D and other bits and pieces for the GX80 etc was actually a bit of a happy accident while I was trying to do understand the Panasonic wifi stuff for something else.
And here is that something else.
Well at least a prototype of it but it is fully functioning and will just be finessed a bit more.
Basically, its a wireless hardware remote for the G series cameras that operates over wifi and can currently control record start/stop, shutter speed as well as aperture and focus if you're using a native lens, including a single shot AF switch.
For the non-Cinelike D cameras that can now be hacked to have Cinelike D there is also a dedicated button to toggle it on and off so you don't need to mess about with browsers and computers or smartphones anymore.
Focus and aperture control are done on a joystick and everything else is switches.
I'll be putting a layer switch on so that it can be toggled back and forth to a different control mode for ISO, WB and other stuff.
As this is the prototype it is nowhere near the finished piece and it will be reduced in form factor to just be about the size of the control board. Power is by any USB source so there are billions of options.
There is a lot more finessing and feature enhancement to go on with regard to the focus control (and yes, I know exactly what you'll all want it to do !) but the hard part is done now.
It does support the display of the values on a screen and I'll be sorting some options out for that.
The purpose of this gadget is primarily for use with a gimbal but it can also be really useful on a tripod bar for anyone shooting live event stuff. For cameras with inbuilt lenses I'm going to add a zoom mode on the joystick.
A very quick very rough demo so you can see it in action.
Any lag you might see between me operating the controller and the camera video is just a sync issue between me throwing the two recordings on very quickly

Does anyone know about Kamlan? Any Chinese based folks here even perhaps that can tell me a little bit more about 'em?
http://kamlan.com.cn From a quick Google it seems that 50mm f/1.1 is a production version of a Kodak branded lens concept that was suppose to come out at some point in time ( https://***URL removed***/forums/thread/3993060 | http://www.43rumors.com/sakar-launches-new-micro-four-thirds-lenses-branded-as-kodak )?
55mm f/1.2 sounds lovely. It's been a highly succesful recipe in the past (think especially: Tomioka, but also Nikon & Canon have some history here. We even saw Kinoshita bringing back the oldschool formula: https://photorumors.com/2015/10/01/new-kinoshita-kistar-55mm-f1-2-lens (pricey!)).
And what about Kerlee, that gives off some real OTUS/ZF, IRIX wannabe vibes?
    http://www.dzoptics.com/en/product2/1/
CEN/LEKO stores lists 'em on JD.com: https://item.jd.com/10510623470.html (EF: 2799 CNY/RMB ~ 409 USD) & https://item.jd.com/10558918481.html (EF: 3280 CNY/RMB ~ 479 USD). Can be found on Taobao as well: https://jj-movie.world.taobao.com/category-1248423012.htm (& Samyang store: https://samyang.world.taobao.com/category-1282217127.htm ?). Usually international pricing is somewhere about 1.3x up to 30-ish USD, though the good ol' Roxsen eBay store is asking for way more: http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/Lenses/3323/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=&_ssn=roxsen&rt=nc&_dmd=2 (Australian dollars, mind you. I always use .com.au as .com alone gets you only '22' hits instead of '68' here for example).
Of course, the more well-known Chinese lens brands are ZY Optics/ZhongYi/Mitakon, SLR Magic, Laowa and maybe even Yongnuo, Meike & Neewer. Less known are Zonlai ( http://zonlai.com ; same as Hengyija? So... a Kenro sub-brand? ), Kaxinda and Wesley for example. Then there's the whole brandless section, like the 'green circle' lenses: https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?ltype=wholesale&d=y&origin=y&isViewCP=y&catId=0&SearchText=green+circle+lens&blanktest=0&tc=af , C-mount lenses that cover APS-C (just the previous C-mount APS-C labelled lenses (more CCTV-style, like the Fujian) in a new coat). Same as the CEN branded ones here from the company mentioned earlier with those mentioned brand lenses ( https://jj-movie.world.taobao.com )? It's like it's all connected.
-- Even Sirui (known quite well for their tripods) seems to have been working on 35mm & 85mm f/1.2 lenses? http://mob.sirui-photo.com/newsshow.php?newsid=170
Maybe it's just me, but find this market rather fascinating, if someone has more info, love to hear about it!
    --- Aahh, articles and video:

Samin reacted to Cinegain in Casey Neistat - Panasonic GH5 shooter
Marques Brownlee (a tech reviewer) did a Casey Neistat studio tour a while ago, he indeed uses an A7RII as his fix set-up studio cam. An 80D as overhead cam at his work station. RX100 V as pocket cam (like for... plane bathrooms). iPhone for just always having it with him. GoPros perhaps. However... the main vlogging camera has for the longest while been a Canon 70D (on a Joby Gorillapod, with either Shure or RØDE video mics). Then switched to the 80D... then had the urge to go 4K and yes, up to recently he had been using the A6500. But... he hates not being able to see himself and that's exactly the problem if you have a microphone mounted on the hotshoe and no vari-angle side frontfacing screen... which made him have to mark the lens with a white marker/tipp-ex to make sure the lens is zoomed out and lined up at that setting. Then you have the nauseating rolling shutter of the Sony... and well, that's not the greatest if you move around on a board and being hella active. Then there's the threat of having your recordings stopped at any moment due to overheat protection kicking in... that cannot happen to a content creator, sometimes there's no re-dos. Also... when recording in sunlight with the A6500 the screen dims... so if he would be behind the camera filming something, he'd have a hard time seeing what the hell is going on.
So yeah... what do you do in that situation? I'd search for the next best thing that you can make work. A reliable camera with front-facing screen that doesn't dim on you, good rolling shutter performance, sensor stabilization. No 4K: no Canon EOS-M. No frontfacing screen/sensor stabilization: no Samsung NX1, no Fujifilm X-T2. So you automagically end up at Panasonic/Olympus that do everything right. Reliable cameras: check. 4K: check. Excellent rolling shutter performance: check. Vari-angle screen: check. Sensor stabilization: check. 'C-AF... well, it already checked so many boxes, let's see if I can make it work'. That's probably the attitude. He just looked objectively, what is the best camera for my needs and I mean, the GH5 is just about the most ideal camera you can think of... and apparently he did make AF work for him (though, we have no way of telling getting those results was an easy task or if like maybe this is 20% of the footage shot that was actually usable and that he had to throw away a lot of good content or had to shoot 10 takes to get one good take...). So this could be a keeper. Until finally someone else with APS-C sensors steps up and makes an E-M1 Mark II/GH5 with APS-C sensor/performance and superb C-AF.

Another funny thing: those "leftist useful idiots" in Germany (run by a right/conservative CDU gov) who "opened the floodgates" to people whose countries were bombed and destroyed by the USA/NATO: they happen to have scored extremely high marks as a country most admired by the world.
Which brings us to the question your idiot USA president once asked: "why do they hate us so much?"  Perhaps you should examine this question too and realize maybe one factor is because the USA has killed over 20 Million people in 37 nations since WWII? That makes you "feel safe"?????

After checking out the Feelworld FW-760, I discovered that there is a 'new' monitor from Feelworld, the F7. It has the exact same specs and I expect the exact same panel, just a more modern housing. Then I realised that Feelworld is a sub-brand of Seetec, which is the brand my current monitor is from.
Googeling further, I found out that the F7 monitor is availble with both Feelworld and Seetec branding. Same difference.
Went with the Seetec because it was a tad cheaper to send to my country.

It should arrive in like 2 weeks so I will let you know once I've messed around with it. I expect it to be similar to the FW-760, just with a more modern look. Someone also said on YouTube that this F7 is the same monitor as the Cinemartin Loyal LT and just a rebrand. Probably true but that's not confirmed.
Thanks for the help everyone. Happy shooting.

Yeah, you made me look into Scandinavian prices some time ago and I noticed funnily enough electronics can be had quite cheap there (just about everything else is pretty much expensive). Even managed to pick up a G7 on the cheap in person just before store closure at FotoKungen, Stockholm (quite late in the day, folks at Rajala didn't have stock but were nice enough to point me in their direction). Over the last few years I must've been in Gothenburg, Stockholm, Helsinki and Oslo countless times... unfortunately those days seem over. I posted about a sick deal on Rajala around Black Friday/Cyber Monday: http://www.eoshd.com/comments/topic/21128-last-minute-deal-for-swedes-upd-extended/ , but talking to them, they referred me to the Finnish site instead; which of course didn't have any good deals going on, in fact it was more expensive than here locally. fml
Not sure, but I think all these stores have a policy not to ship anything elsewhere? See, Cyberphoto seems the same... https://www.cyberphoto.se/leveransvillkor#leveransinformation-utom-sverige . Btw, for fun you should follow the links to the .no and .fi domains and see what happens.
See, I am now in the market for a Huawei Mate 9 Pro which has the dual Leica cam set-up. It sells in Central/Western Europe under Porsche Design licence at 1395,- EUR. Yup. That's right, your eyes aren't deceiving you. Luckily you guys up north don't give in to such foolishness, so I've noticed on YouTube that Huawei Denmark, Norway, Sweden & Finland are promoting the Huawei version (earlier it was thought to be China released only). I made accounts at multiple Scandinavian shops... yet all won't allow it to be shipped to your address in e.g. Austria. I mean, I know a guy from Norway and another from Denmark that are bound visit home at some point this or next month and could probably organize me one. But otherwise it's pretty tough luck it seems.

It's a sort of UBER/Lyft model, so more like a p2p kinda of thing, but instead of being with driver and passenger it's sender and receiver... try it own risk: https://www.parcl.com & http://airnshop.com .

There are some shops that import stuff from all over the world for cheap and might be able to give you a fair deal, like http://www.eglobalcentral.com . There's also stores in Hong Kong that export stuff, some stores offer customers from certain countries a tax free guarantee, for example: http://www.onestop-digital.com/index.php?dispatch=pages.view&page_id=8&currency=EUR&sl=en ('At the moment, this VAT Free guarantee only applies to orders shipped to Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States'). My Nikon AI-s 28mm f/2.8 MF came from http://www.aclub.com , initially found them on eBay. You can e-mail them and negotiate a little on the price. No guarantees, but it did fly under the radar with customs. For accessories, a good place to check is always http://www.linkdelight.com , http://www.camfere.com or one of the many other China webshops . Many of which, btw, are behind some eBay stores.
So, eBay, right!? It's a great place to roam around (sure many of you have bought something from http://stores.ebay.com/roxsen at some point in time), for example if you need lens adapters, I highly recommend the ones from K&F (Kent & Faith) Concept (listings on eBay usually have the black box with orange accents in them, there's another brand 'Leinox' which is pretty good as well, they're shown with thumbnails of the adapter and a black box with brownish/copper accents). One of my best kept secrets I'll share with you today: http://www.ebay.com/usr/artemstore . If you want a Russian vintage lens, he will hook you up. Somehow he always manages to find NOS (New Old Stock) or special series lenses as well. Such a great source.
Btw. I just want to highlight something I found out about eBay. E.g. take a look at this: http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_ssn=zedigital&_armrs=1&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=lens+adapter&_sacat=0 VS http://www.ebay.at/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_ssn=zedigital&_armrs=1&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=lens+adapter&_sacat=0 . Same link, just changed the domain extension. The one gets 475 results, the other a mere 175. I usually use http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=putthethingyouwanttofindhere&LH_PrefLoc=2&_sop=15 to increase my chances of finding something, over time I've learned that gets me the best and most understandable results. In this case it comes up with 477 results and... it's English so you understand it: http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_ssn=zedigital&_armrs=1&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=lens+adapter&_sacat=0 .
Also try http://aliexpress.com , home of a lot of manufacturers as well (there's an app in your smartphone's app store, a lot can be had with a discount buying through the app). Did you know Aputure runs an offical store there for example? https://aputure.aliexpress.com . Need stuff for your GoPro? Have a look at TELESIN: https://www.aliexpress.com/store/630476 for example. A lot of brands have official stores on Amazon too (which always is a nice place to check, as some of the lightning deals involve camera gear and could get interesting from time to time). Or like Lilliput and Zhong Yi they might even have their own distribution channels, e.g.: http://lilliputdirect.com | http://www.zyoptics.net/purchase-online/ .
Also. Don't forget, sometimes just subscribing to a newsletter gets you a nice welcome bonus. Also make sure to hit up a site like https://www.retailmenot.com before you purchase anything, there might be a good discount in it for you.
So. Yeah! I'm all for good deals. But we just need to make sure we are able to get it somehow! I'm always keeping my eyes open, I'm a sucker for good deals as my G.A.S. history would show.

    That would explain it.
Panasonic think I am a girl!
Maybe I need to shoot my parkour and dogs before EOSHD can get a pre-production unit.
Remember when they gave me a GH3... and a GH4... and invited me to feedback sessions... This time - nada.
Maybe it was the Panasonic CM1 smartphone review?!

Don't know where someone said that Sony, Fuji or Oly performs less than a Panasonic. I guess we can all agree that they've always been a little behind on juicyness of the image; just can't squeeze as much out of a smaller sensor, simple as that. But that's not the point. It's being completely oblivious to that and going with it anyways, because it's by far a more productive camera and arguably the better value. Panasonics are workable and you can get some really lovely results with them. Being more attracted to the GH5 than the X-T2, E-M1 Mark II or A6500, doesn't make you a fanboy anything, so I don't really get the 'being attacked, defend!'-mode. Doesn't mean you think the image trumps all else. Just means you really like what it does nontheless and have the confidence that you can make it work. And remember not everyone has the resources to pull off a two camera inventory.

Just shoot both in LOG mode and apply the same LUT to both, then tweak any differences.
But here's an even better suggestion... if you want cameras to match, buy two of the same cameras.
The main problem here is it it seems like you have been convinced by online marketing and advertorial that you need all this extra shit.
On the GH4 you don't need a v-mount battery for interviews...
Unless you consider changing the GH4's battery every 7 hours to be an unsurmountable problem.
You also don't need a cage or to attach anything to the GH4 at all, like a shotgun mic.
For interviews you should click a wireless lav mic onto the subject. Not use a mic on the camera.
XLR is also overkill for an interview. 3.5mm jack just fine.
    Problem solved.
You also don't need a monitor... the screen on the GH4 is just fine for interviews. Works as well as the screen which comes with the FS5, does it not? It's even a similar size! Guess that solves the cables part as well.
Speed Booster - I fail to see the hassle aspect of that. Attach lens. Film!
ND filters - for an interview? Were you filming it on the surface of the sun?
With such a small amount of movement if it is a locked down shot you wouldn't even notice if it was shot at 1/2000 anyway.
    Keep it simple.
Keep it simple and try again.
    Relax.
    Don't buy a C300.

Samin reacted to Andrew Reid in Olympus E-M1 II mini-review - a sign of things to come with the Panasonic GH5?
Not blown away by anything out of the camera so far and since my own hands on with it I've been shooting with the Panasonic G85 and realised it is by far the better deal.
The stabilisation doesn't seem much better on the E-M1 II compared to that camera for video.
The price - is it worth double just to shave 0.2x off the crop factor in 4K?
The ergonomics - I feel the Panasonic menus and controls are less convoluted somehow.
E-M1 II doesn't seem to have an advantage for ISO 3200, 6400... unchanged since old E-M1
Don't remember being blown away by the EVF compared to the G85 at half the price either.
Main difference is the higher bitrate codec and less rolling shutter.... but neither are a particular problem on the G85 either.
Both are very good cameras for video but right now I am leaning towards saving $1000.
Not least because the GH5 is around the corner which gives the E-M1 II a useful shelf life of about 2-3 months for your $2000.

Samin reacted to Cinegain in Wedding videography advice
To me that clearly seems a stylistic choice. I'm more drawn to wedding videos that are a little more cheerful, upbeat, happy, bubbly, but that does tend to get a little cliché. So, I admire the spin on it, to make it a little more dramatic yet mellow. There's a calmness, it's peaceful/serene. The grade reflects that. It's not another overly energetic video, it's not poppy. Certainly that's something that some couples can appreciate, also pretty sure that's something that wouldn't fit the personalities of other couples. But when you're talking about taste and creative choice, anything is subjective. So I wouldn't go and say that's wrong.

The Olympus might not be available before Christmas from what I am hearing.
A6500 at least is out now.
I have the G85. That review is coming soon!
