kinoseed reacted to Kisaha in NX1 RAW VIDEO???
I thought you were living in Italy!
10.212Khm from Rome is Los Angeles
10.256 is Mexico city
10.586 is Lima, Peru!
(no, I didn't count Khm on google map, I am not that nerdy!
there is a site for these kind of things! https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/distances.html?n=215)
Great detective skills @BTM_Pix !! Truly impressive!
Even if this is a joke, my arguments were/are that you can't bully anyone (online or not), whatever happens is out of our hands, so we wait, and can't determine the value of a product through a rumor.
Good to have you back @kinoseed !! Still shooting with NX?

kinoseed got a reaction from lucabutera in NX1 RAW VIDEO???
... wow.. it's been so long
I really have to catch up with what you are talking about (thanks for the tag by the way).
as far as I recall the "hacks" so far were mostly additional software/scripts which were exploiting some of the camera capabilities which were underutilized.
(that is, with the exception of bitrate change, and messing with which capture size get packed into which preset video encoding)
When it comes to capturing "raw" video, I would say "highly doubtful", as dumping the sensor data (most probably) won't be computationally feasible, and there was no API for dumping raw frames (and digging in the firmware to get that was out of the question).
But hey, even if it's an early April fools day joke, no need for negative energy

PhotoMatch is an app, which can auto-create LUT by a given image,
and in development right now is an image-adjustments module, with custom algorithms.
I'm looking for some feedback from you.
Do you like the image-adjustment algorithms better than the standard ones, used in just about any other software?
What do you think about the color-matching option?
You can run the app through just about any modern browser: https://kinoseed.com/
Here are some examples of what it does:
Here's example of "temperature change" algorithm:

I'm a UX/UI designer by day. I'll take it for a spin tomorrow and provide first impressions, and if needed maybe some suggestions on flow and UI. So far, I like the premise a lot. Especially creating a grade from a color palette. And it was smart not to make the app native.

kinoseed reacted to Attila Bakos in PhotoMatch: Automatic Image Color Grading
Well, in theory you could build a Cordova/Phonegap app where the index.html inside the app does nothing but a window.location.href redirection (as long as the target URL is whitelisted in the app). Then it would be the same as your app, and it could be compiled for other platforms too. I haven't tested it but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Looks nice, I got good results from the image-adjustments panel. However it wasn't clear at first what the sliders do, maybe titles would help. Also you should be able to reset a single slider. I can't comment on the color matching yet, but it looks like it does it's job.

Here's something done with NX500 + Rokinon 12mm + something which has: "made in USSR" 44mm, written on it + small LED panel
footage was shot at DC / 90Mbps / no audio

Hi Kino, In relation to this I think it changes little if the heir of Samsung is in prison.
The data is clear, Samsung's strategy to focus their employees on commercial products and smartphones has proved to be a great success.
http://www.bgr.in/news/samsung-records-85-percent-jump-in-profit-in-q2-2017/
I just hope that Samsung (also for a prestigious issue) continues to shoot professional cameras with NX2 release, also because Red has decided to enter smathphone market with Red Hydrogen damaging the Samsung Galaxy market , So I hope that Samsung to discourage Red (which has 100% sales of professional video cameras) is to produce professional cameras and camcorders, for professionals, invading Red's market.
These are just my considerations, but the only certainty I have is that if Samsung comes out of a new professional camera, whoever has a Samsung camera will definitely run to buy it.
