I am thinking of picking up one myself. Though I might wait a little causr I hardly get time to do photo and video work, and I have a lot of equipment I still haven't used. MaybeI shoot like crazy for the next couple of weeks to justify buying this.

10-bit is definitely awesome specially with a real Log, but I'd rather have 60p raw for photo and phase instead of DFD and JPEG until otherwise corrected . My problem with the RX100V is that it makes the Olympus not so insane but you have to buy several cameras if you want to do different stuff. Selfie Vlogging RX100, photo-video a6500, dual card oh-no-crap-the-SD-failed-in-the-ceremony system a99II. I guess people will still complain about the small sensor and bigger DOF but all what Oly is offering in one single camera in contrast with all the money you have to spend with Sony makes Olympus look revolutionary!
I should shut up, I'm pumping up myself

I saw another (promo) video of the Olympus. It seems to have excellent auto focus for video and superb IBIS (IBIS + OIS). Though Panasonic may not let it have 10-bit internal (that only the GH5 may have). After the release of the RX100v (that supposedly does 24fps with continuous autofocus), 15fps (18 electronic?) with continuous autofocus seems still decent (though not insane anymore).
I am also wondering whether the Dynamic Range has been improved. Overall this seems like the best mirrorless camera for Street and Sports Photography (including ones by Sony).

Funny how the competitor camera's inferior IS can selectively stabilize only certain parts of the image: the background is sharp and woman is not.

If it finishes being like this with a decent tracking and without the distracting hunt I'm sold. I mean, I'm there already throwing money to the screen, but I must be doing something wrong; still no camera. I can't imagine how the people waiting for the GH5 feel!

Better ergos is debatable. The X-T2 has a LOG profile. And the Fuji color profiles are like having filmconvert built into your camera.
I'm not saying it beats the E-M1 II-- it's way to early to say one way or the other-- but the Fuji is incredibly underrated, imo.

Better ergos, tilty-swively screen, IBIS and a flat profile. For video is a no brainer. For photo I'll be very interested in the final production camera focus speed and tracking ability, that's a tough call against the great XT2. @omega1978 said it wasn't so good, let's hope Oly can fix it.

Like all promo footage from all cameras Ive seen they go for the sharp and contrasty look. But I definitely think I see some potential in it. Given how the Pen-F and E-M5 worked Im pretty sure I could work with it. And then there is the flat profile to really make it shine.
This has made my expectations bigger

A photographer using the video function? Might've been shot with high shutterspeed. Anyways. Doesn't look half bad! Very detailed. Motion from the 5-axis IBIS looks kinda weird here and there, but overall... I'm hoping it holds up well, because it roughly has everything I need in a camera.

@Inazuma I haven't try the Fuji, but they have lots of experience with lenses and I'm sure the quality is extraordinary. I'm not worry about the weight coming from FF but performance in the Olympus has to be great even wide open. I know one thing for sure, They've learn how to tweak the settings for the testers. From testing on Photokina AF tracking loose very fast subject and transition was very harsh on 12-120

The only missing thing for m43 now is a good 17 1.2 lens. I hope tracking and focus transitions are smooth.

I shoot with the RX10II and don't have any regrets, it's one of my best gear decisions ever. It covers any M43 lenses in a compact powerzoom form over f4, so that makes most of them until now; has 5axis stabilization; gives Slog to match his bigger brothers in a vast different range of prices mostly well, not like Canon; can record to SD cards 4k footage, accepts the XLR-K2M adapter, can be hacked to remove the time limit and doesn't overheat. All in all I think it's Sony's best camera right now.
The only PITA is the lack of a touchscreen, and that's the reason the G80 or the OM-D E-M1 MKII are looking so interesting right now, but weddings pay my butter so I have time to hold my GAS and wait for what Sony presents at CES and see if finally they add a touchscreen to the a7 line. My only reason to go FF is that brides and grooms in Slovakia and Spain tend to dress in ugly as hell rooms and to be able to have background separation in full body and 3/4 portraits and videos is a godsend. For the rest M43 and 1 inch sensors are all love and bridges can cover 60% or even 70% of a shoot very well. My 2 cents of course.

Yes, Ive just watched all the episodes of veep (loved it btw) and it has a docu feeling. But the Jello is very distracting from time to time.
But like always. Its just me noticing. No one else in the family would ever notice or care.
A good example is the Swedish game show "På Spåret" (On Track). In the show they get to see timelapse footage of a train ride and also gets clues to the destination. Needless to say there are loads of jello and leaning poles. Every week its watched by millions (its the #1 show on the biggest channel). And its been on for 19 years.
Not once have I heard anybody, anywhere, ever commenting on it.
(Of course it probably just started having jello in recent years after the cmos introduction. And its not as distracting due to the fast moving train.)
