I haven't seen many companies say 'yeah, remember when we told you it would have so-and-so, well, on 2nd thought, we'll ship 'em out without'. Not even BMD before.
Easy on the 'fools' and 'idiots' please. It was fair to assume the camera would be capable of global shutter. As advertised.
But Mattias is right, nobody is forced to still get one at this point. So whatevs. But how can you deny that a camera as described initially would've been cooler than the camera that will be shipping out now? It's not a delay and getting a better thing. It's not a delay and still getting the same thing. It's a delay and getting a worse thing. If that wasn't allowed to be disappointed about, what is? Are you now disappointed that people still get disappointed about how BMD goes about things? Shouldn't that require us to be disappointed in you for being disappointed in us, which was a given as BMD has a history of disappointing?

I have a bunch of questions but not enough time right now, so I just wanted to quickly say congratulations!!!
I hope you rake in the bucks. You can guarantee at least 3 bucks from me within the next couple of weeks. 

I dont want to stress the topic, but the video caption clearly says 105mm, whereas later on it is labeled with 315mm - so i assumed that the first shot really was at 105mm. anyways, since IS was not activated, my question is answered.

Here is some 5D Mark III Raw that show its Dynamic Range.

In the shot I closed the blinds behind me so the window infront is basically the only light source.
So yeah, very much backlit. Same in camera settings on all, exposed with ND.
In my examples I set the highlights and shadows the same on all, then I boosted the mids as far as I thought was somewhat usable.
I used highlight recovery for the clips with blown highlights.
No grading.
(Please note that resolve interoperates WB wrong, so set it manually.)

That chocolate has a pretty bad lingering aftertaste that is a little hard to get rid of... but I was already planning on treating my tastebuds to something nice, which I bet will taste the more sweeter because of it (something with andy lee's excitement and Swedish prices, and perhaps something with a letter and a number)! You're right, you don't like the taste, don't put it in your mouth. But you need a sec to spit it out and get rid of the taste first when you find something you don't like.

If the URSA mini has lost the Global Shutter, thats one thing. But if the Micro has lost it... then I see Zero reasons to by it unless you are a drone shooter or in desperate need for slowmo.

Had my first quick run yesterday with continuous Raw.
I literally came home, saw the CF card in the mail, went out and captured some footage the last 30min before sunset.
So its nothing special or perfect.
But my first impressions are good.
As a Blackmagic and Red shooter I haven't been a huge fan of the ML in the Eos-M and 5dmkii I had.
But now, with a fast and ongoing camera. Ability to record audio. Option to convert to Losslessly compressed Raw, with a full frame and Full HD s16 sensor..
Its pretty nice.
Might change my mind after the first crash... but so far, so good
 

Andy, you may be right. Most people don't realize how underrated Panasonic cameras are, especially for video. No over-heating or insanely high levels of moire, and the colours are pretty decent too. Also, the price is a Fraction of most other cameras that shoot 4k and can be dialed down to pretty Flat Profiles. 

Looks really really nice. Could you share some info about camera settings and grading? You made it look really filmic and organic for NX1 material.

Just finished my first Music Video, not exacly as I planned it would go, had some setbacks on filming and what not, but yet still pleased with how it turned out. Everything was shot on the NX1 and the aerials on the P3. Was a great challenge, doing something as "big" with such a tight budget, but loads of fun ! Let me know what you guys think =)

Panasonic G7s on the set of the movie 'Pandora' yesterday for a pre production lighting test I was doing , Metabones XL Speedboosters , Gini Rigs cages rods lens supports and follow focus , Nikon 28-70mm and 80-200mm , Libec Tripods - they are still building the set so plastic on the floor so we dont ruin it!!

on paper the f3 has less dr than the a7s and the a7rii, but imo I'm seeing more usable dr from the f3.  the roll off of blown highlights feels more gradual.  shadows also feel cleaner and more refined- even on the 35mbs internal - which I happen to think is more durable than the xavc-s 50mbs of the a7 range.

You haven't steered me wrong yet, I'll give it a go next time.

I leave nr and sharpening at 0 because I like the look this profile gives when saturation and contrast are -5 , Panasonic have done an amazing job on the codec for this camera in 4k UHF its the best they have ever done in a small micro m4/3 camera yet, I personally don't believe in adding sharpening in post ever , I just don't do it never have never will , just get it right in camera first , all my tests against the red and Alexa where done on these settings and I like how the final image looks once graded , it works so I'm not going to start sharpening every cut I do in post when it looks great straight out the camera . I like pin sharp images I use the best aspheric lenses I can , the Nikon zooms ate insanely sharp and produce a great usable  image
