Just announced... The Q2 offers a 47.3MP full-frame sensor capable of DCI and UHD 4K video recording, and sticks with the stabilized 28mm F1.7 offered on the first Q.

The Leica Q2 features a newly developed 47.3 megapixel full frame sensor that captures both richly-detailed still pictures and 4K video in brilliant quality at ISO sensitivities up to 50,000.
4K: 30fps / 24fps
C4K: 24fps
Full-HD: 24, 30, 60 & 120fps
Not expecting fantastic video performance like the SL2 (no L-log, 10-bit, ALL-I and 4K seems to have a crop) but if the RS isn't too bad this could be a cool walkaround hybrid..
The price isn't even that expensive imo considering the lens you're getting and sensor resolution.

Tested the Viltrox EF to Fuji AF adapter tonight. So far I've only tested it with the 50/1.8 STM and I must say, it's very fast. Not native fast, it's an adapter after all. But noticeably faster than the Viltrox Speedbooster on ny G85. And in general faster than any adapter combo I've ever tried.
But like I said, only tested with one lens in pretty bad light. Will test it more thoroughly tomorrow.

Yesterday I was street shooting with the G85. Everything was golden until I was shooting straight into the sun. The focus just started hunting like crazy and couldn't focus on backlit subjects. I then switched to a native lens and everything was fine, very fine to be exact.
Tonight I quickly tried to replicate the issue with the Fuji version but couldn't. It just worked.
Needs more testing but so far I don't really see why a Fuji shooter with EF glass wouldn't get one as long as the money isn't an issue.

 

The coolest footage from the Mavo Ive seen is definitely the tests with the Kipon Medium Format Speedbooster. Kipon is supporting this guy who is working on shooting a film (can't remember if it was a feature) using only MF glass and the reducer.
BTW, I asked if he (Kipon) could try to hook me up with a loaner of the Mavo, since he and the Kinefinity owner are friendly. I doubt me and my viewers are their target audience, but it doesn't hurt to ask

I don't know about the A7iii but my A7sii could not touch the DR of the 13stop BMCC, D750 or even the 12stop XC10 and 5Dmkiii raw. 
So I doubt the A7iii could match a BMPC4K. At least I haven't seen any footage that points to it being able to. Would love it if it could. Maybe then I could justify it's imo to high price.

The C100 still produces great looking images, both in it's own merits as well as compared to newer gear. Very tempted by the used prices these days. What keeps me away is that my R also has a really nice C-log image but FF with stabilization and soon built in variable ND. Would love to have the XPRs though.

Cmon man, you went there. All i did was post a relevant link to an article which btw you thanked me for finding interesting. Why now the hissy fit?? Woke up wrong side of bed?
This place is like a ticking time-bomb, always with the drama.. especially if you dare say anything remotely positive about Canon, then all hell breaks loose, SMH.
FYI i started out with Nikon, shot on them for decades. Still own much of their glass & an FM2. Why would I feel remotely threatened by astronauts shooting stills?

True. But it's not allowed to discuss a Canon camera in a normal matter on this forum. So we all have to do our part to keep the psychotic drama going.

Like I said. If you don't know how to properly expose in those situations without resorting to bracketing or flash then I'm sorry, a new camera isn't going to help you. You need to practice instead of buying stuff.

Yes, I use it as my main video camera at work. It's perfect for it. Have shown it in huge projections intercut with the FS7. Only visible difference is the Sony colors. I haven't shot any casual video like the NX1 stuff but probably will shoot something for the speedbooster review I'm working on.
I can PM you some video examples I've done tomorrow.
So far the DPAF has worked with all my EF glass including those two. I've only used AF on one project so far, just for fun. But I might have a project with gimbal shots in the pipe.

Ahh the old my smartphone can take the same pictures as any camera argument. That's why all pro shooter's have switched to smartphones ?
Regarding DR it's probably like the 6Dmkii which has excellent DR. My take, a shooter that can't get great looking images with either camera needs to get to work. Because it's not the camera that sucks..

It works fine, image looks good. The IS isn't as good as with native glass and you don't get the arrows for focusing but the peaking is enough given that its f2.4 at the fastest.
No. The meter still works as expected and aperture priority, etc. But no data so there is no indication of lens used in the exif.

Don't know, Ive never tried the 4K setting. In FF the crop factor of the camera with the reducer is x0.7 so I guess deduct that from what ever the 4K crop is.
With my MF glass like the 80mm f1.9 its best described as "Epic" and with my new favorite, the 150mm f3.5 its "Pure Class"  

Pretty interesting that so many thought a cheap entry level camera would be more featured than the more expensive mid tier.
