    Software:

Premiere Pro, filmconvert (Arri Alexa DCIP3), bit of Lumetri (really loving the new PP).

  2. Then it could be a Beta Bug. I for example have audio issues that others haven't got.Could you export UHD/4K in R11?

Aah, checked again on my PC (thought this to be an issue with the Intel HD Graphics on my Lenovo, 1.75 GB of RAM for video isn't too much, after all), but I've just realized I had 1080p as project settings. :p I'm one of those lazy users who'd expect to get a message whether I want to change the project settings to fit to the clip.

Anyhow, I do have to admit, with the way the new Premiere Pro works with the integrated Lumetri panel, I don't see me using Resolve atm. It just got so simple and seamless with PP and except for a hangup every now and then, the performance is really good.

  3. It still has a Cuda requirement.  I guess it's Premiere until I upgrade my hardware in ~3 years.

It doesn't. Intel HD Graphics has no CUDA. I am running Win 10, though, might make a difference with DirectX 12. Can't seem to render out 4K clips, though. Will try some more later.

  4. Being the lone wolf I am, I'm probably not going to have anything going in the near future, but if I can get my shit together, it's probably going to be some short film that's either really disgusting and sick or something light, simple and revealing. Or all of that at the same time. Or none of it and totally different. I'm pretty open to the (probably) dark future and thus not too inhibited by great ambition or the will to please. What artists do I like: Noé, Buñuel, Lang, Bergman, Keaton and stuff. Probably won't be too polished work, not enough patience for that. Will see. Most likely it will just be a lonely death for me without all the shebang beforehand. :d

  5. Did one the owners record 4k for 29 mins and then started another clip right away? Sorry, but for me its sometimes important to use and record on a camera for a long time. I know these are consumer cameras, but the rx10 ii could be the perfect B Cam for my 1D-C. Cool if you are ok with only recording shorter clips - most of the time I am too, but for recording interviews and events I need a camera that records for a long time - everytime.

I haven't, but it wasn't overly warm after 27 or so minutes of 4K recording. Also I believe that due to the body ergonomics the RX10 isn't as overheating prone as the (even if improved) A7RII. Still, though, I'd never expect Canon reliability from the Sony. The lens does seem a bit frail for the long run imho.

  6. I felt really bad when i knew about it, since i shoot mainly events. RX10 is a versatile camera with all the goofy frame rates and S-log and supreme 4k. have strongly  decided to buy it, thats when i knew it has f-king 5 min limit. hmm...may be i wait for panasonic contender.

Again: I'd wait for an actual human being with an Asian model in hand to confirm it.

edit: oops i forgot i ended up getting this actually http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sandisk-pixtor-advanced-64gb-sdxc-class-10-uhs-3-memory-card-black-gold/7801057.p?id=1219290682626&skuId=7801057

so i cant be of any help there; it worked perfectly but it is U3. i returned it for 2 Transcends for the same price ?

Nvm, all that counts is that you're enjoying using the camera. :d

  7. there is Resolve 12 Configuration Guide, they say both OpenCL and CUDA are supported natively,

    http://documents.blackmagicdesign.com/DaVinciResolve/DaVinci_Resolve_12_Beta_Configuration_Guide.pdf

though it doesn't help in choosing over a better OpenCL performing card or a better CUDA one.

Whatever you choose, I believe it's important to have multiple cards (ideally with one Quadro-like card) and sufficient gfx RAM (2+ for 1080p, 4++ for 4K).
