Grimor got a reaction from PannySVHS in Panasonic gx80/85 rigging
    1. Quick Release Plate (Qiottos standard plate) that come with the shoot35 baseplate and  i dont need because I'm using a Manfrotto 501 plate with the adjustable dovetail.
    2. Smallrig lens support from amazon.
    3. Cheap plastic baseplate under all,  just to elevate from the table during setting my focus.
    * 1 and 3 are useless in this setup.
*shoot35 and smallrig seens to be good quality products for this price tag . (i'm in the poor filmakers side)

Forget my follow focus. is the worse indian product i ever purchased.
The lens support is exactly this one, but can't find the reference number.

Panny, this is my G6 anamorphic rig:
The baseplate is a cheap "shoot35" from ebay.

    I'm happy with it.

I would start with finding a cage that fits the camera well. Then you have a solid base to add your other stuff- rail mounting, a top handle, EVF or monitor mount, shoulder pad and handles, etc. Ideally you can find or rig something that lets you bolt your speedbooster's tripod foot down, to eliminate flex/play. If you do that and have a good lens support on the rails, out at the front of your lens, you shouldn't have any flex or misalignment in your optics when moving the camera or pulling focus.
Smallrig stuff is great, well made and affordable, with a wide variety of stuff (that unfortunately you have to wade through on their site to find exactly what you need).
Gini stuff is great too, real Gini stuff that is, there was some confusion a few years ago with one of their distributors going off on their own and putting the Gini name on cheap Indian crap. Make sure you're getting actual Gini stuff, made in Korea.
The Fotga DP500IIS or the newer DP500III are both good affordable follow focuses.

You don't have to earn the money, just return it. You still have it, and if not, return what you bought wih it. We all know that your sisters abortion is a lie.
You wanted to scam people, but you were soooooo stupid to use your actual name having photos all over the internet. I mean, its so retarded it doesn't even seem real.
Return the money, you will have to find another way to be respected. You made the wrong bet, reading camera specs for two years instead of reading your textbooks. There are no tricks, scam artists, rappers, lottery, basketball, drug selling, it's all a lie, no shortcut for the poor.

.. just caught up with the entire thread.. here are my thoughts having the whole thing fresh into perspective: "ES" is a troll. He's a narcissistic kid with borderline multiple personality syndrome. as someone else pointed this isn't too surprising or even uncommon in the film making realm (having multiple characters, drama, plot twists, improvisation). "ES" at some point even said something like "gotta admit this would make a good film script". well except not. i knew from post #1 the "grandson" did it (actually that was OP's assertion as well). "ES" probably got a huge kick at the people lynching him but also defending him.. hence the troll. FWIW i always knew from day one here this character was fishy. as other also noticed, his signature. the whole 19-year old noob & wise old grandpa under the same account screamed bi-polar syndrome. maybe this guy forgot to take his meds hence the meltdown. and i say this because the oddest thing is that from the little i've interacted with "ES" he does seem to really know his shit concerning a thing or two (usually evolving around Canon EOS cams). That being said the obsession with the 1DC and long winded monologues about filmic properties always appeared quite odd from a mental state. If i were to guess, this guy is neither 19 or 80.. probably somewhere in between. Oh and guys, do not believe a word he's said in this thread, including the heartfelt confession. it's all an act IMO. the guy is a compulsive liar. there is no grandpa and definitely no prego sister. what is real though is the scam, and I really hope the people affected will get compensated. I would definitely report this to police authorities. And one more thing, having been to Africa and having actually dealt with Western Union there, i can confirm it's quite shady. Basically operated by your corner store owner. In between corruption, prominence of fake IDs, lack of enforcement etc.. it's no wonder why these types of "419 scams" thrive in that region... i mean if this guy really used his real name to scam all those people then he really is the dumbest kid on earth lol..

The jig is up kid. Pay up. If you've blown that cash, send the rangefinder now and proof it. @Timotheus and I will sell it and divide. If we don't receive compensation by 12:00 your personal network will be envolved. Put and end to this @Ebrahim Saadawi

Grimor got a reaction from ROMSPROD in OPTEX anamo lens
    Same situation here! (Optex + 12-35 + Gh4)
    I've tested on this lenses: 14-42 kit, 12-35, FD 50 1.4 , FD 24 2.8, oly. 45 1.8

I think that modern lenses work best with this kind of anamorphic adaptor.
For me 12-35 as wide as possible (around 20mm for no vignette) and f8 or similar get good image. (best of all of my lenses by far)
My optex unit came with rear element fliped (reverse hack for close focusing) and terrible image quality.
After fitting and aligned correctly the image get very decent.
My advice is to put optex on the taking lens as close as possible , and with de 58mm threat direct to the 12-35 seems to hit the rear element of the optex again the front of the 12-35, so i'm using a 58-58 step ring (cheap UV filter without glass ?).
Need time for more test, but would be great if we could share our results @ROMSPROD
sorry for my english, i'm from Spain.
