Filmconvert has the best looking grain imo. It looks more realistic than gorilla grain etc but lack the hair,dirt & flicker effects from the gorilla grain pack.

Maybe im a little slow but I am struggling to understand what I am looking at. Is this showing the max bitrate for each sd card ?

@sudopera yeah I am super excited to see how my contax zeiss set looks on a fuji body with speedbooster. If the 4k isn't crippled by moire and macroblocking then I am sold

it doesn't prevent it, it like "masks" it. The wider the focal length the harder it is to see the rolling shutter artifacts but if you shake the camera back and forth like a mad man then RS is to be expected like @Geoff CB said

throw a speedbooster on this thing for the full frame look and we just may have a sleeper hit with the xt2

@tugela have you tried the 16-50s ? Really curious about that lens

is it just me or is anyone noticing that the contrast slider is affecting the sharpness of the image ? I started shooting with a negative contrast (no lower than my saturation settings so always around 4-5) and as I am grading problem areas such as trees & foliage no longer have the haloing effect on edges that gets exaggerated when you add a LUT in post. anyone willing to help me test this out ?

again it comes down to user preference. If you like the image then why not use it ? Cause it's old ? not good enough of a reason.

@ricardo_sousa11 @Parker I spoke to FILMCONVERT and they said they are working on the NX1 profile and it should be out soon. I expect to see even better work from you guys when the nx1 camera pack is out :-D

@Grégory LEROY you shouldn't have a problem with those kinda shots. Stick to a wide angle to be safe

cine 1 with pro color mode or cine 2 pro. I use cine 2 pro sometimies 0.3 of a stop over exposed on my Rx10 2 and the image is spectacular. You should get an even better image out of your a63000

Bingo. Really why bother unless there is a specific feature you need. New aint always better. Again if you like the aesthetic a camera like the Gh2 gives then go for it. SB : The gh2 had a better looking image than the gh3 & gh4 imo. Gives us a gh2 that could shoot 4k and a magnesium alloy body @panasonic

110% agree. Whether RAW or Compressed it's just a path to the final image. Yeah they both have their advantages depending on who you ask but yeah whats the end product look like ? I seen plenty of footage shot with 5D Raw or BMCC that I wasn't interested in or felt like the end result wasn't far off from what I get with my totally unprofessional consumer cameras lol. Admittedly I've looked at some of Kendy Ty's t3i footage and it looked better than any of the content I've seen from Philip Bloom and a couple of other pro's

Contax Zeiss 50mm f1.4 aej I love the Contax Zeiss lenses. The size, build quality and look of the images have a unique signature to them. These are the "real zeiss" lenses to me. They have more of the 3D pop people mention and less of the clinical sharpness of the modern zeiss glass

@iamoui significant advantage for shooting RAW stills over JPG. I haven't shot raw video yet but im sure the advantage is the same. Still I won't lose sleep over shooting 8 bit. Like JPG the closer you come to getting the look you want in camera the easier the image holds up to grading in my experience

@Geoff CB cine2 with pro color & stills gamma with cinema color mode works good too

If anyone has TIDAL you will be happy to know that Kanye West's new video is shot with a VHS cam. The DP (UZI, cool dude) signature style revolves around his work with the VHS cams. Im sure the resolution doesnt even hit anything close to 1080 and he landed Kanye as a client. Im sure who he knows is a factor too but it kinda smashed the debate that you cant be "pro" shooting with consumer cams or if you dont shoot 4k
