I like the rx10 ii slow motion but idk how you guys feel about a 1" sensor and not being able to shoot clean above 400-800 iso :\ the full pixel readout is amazing, the color isn't
-
@NX1user you simply select the picture profile that u shot with in the software...
-
Same ! ??
-
Hopefully ! I am using the new profile for the RX10ii and it completely saved my ass from terrible sony color ! I can only imagine the results we can get with gamma dr mode on nx1
-
4k @ 60p would be incredible on the nx1 ??
-
the nx1 performs better with motion with the new hack but in camera sharpening definitely can add to that jumpy/stutter effect. this vid looks like the sharpening was a little cranked
-
@mercer it was between the rx10 or that wide angle for me. I seen some shots with it on vimeo and was blown away by just the character of it
-
I had my eye on the samyang 16mm t2.2
-
This got me sooooooo excited ??

Im writing my own guide. May even put it out for free, I've been testing the nx1 hack or no hack for a while now. Came up with some damn good in cam settings and how to expose to benefit from the increase in bitrate. I document my findings you can find it on my vimeo.com/kidzrevil @timmyturntable

I aint taking sides on this neither. They have their differences and if i was serious enough for them to split, whatever. I just want to see both parties keep up the good work. We have one version of the hack that appeals to the people who only cared for the bitrate and another for people who want extra features. Maybe this will become a competition to see who's can offer the features to us that stand out. Maybe Vasile comes out with RAW 4k or 1080 and kinoseed comes out with a way to disable NR, who knows. I appreciate the work from both parties nonetheless. I feel like they did for the NX1 what ML did for Canon and both parties need more credit than they are getting. random but I am stillllllll waiting for @Andrew Reid to review the hack and bring more attention to these guys work. That could lead to a 16-50s or something to compensate for their work and keep morale high.

I helped beta this one (cinetech) used it for this the intention was to get a film look without crazy shifts in blue and red channels like the m31 lut people use and abuse lol they have visiontech which is the equivalent of 0-255 with a +8 master pedestal to capture color information in darker tones cause apparently h.264 can careless about data below 9-255. Visioncolor was the one that uses 0-255. Worked great for me especially with filmconvert. @Ebrahim Saadawi

@The Chris there is only cine 1 & cine 2 on the rx10ii @mercer I got it because of the constant 2.8 & the crazy close focus distance. It helps thats its damn near $1000 cheaper than the xc10 which to me is wildly over priced
-
You ever use the rx10 ii ? I just got one and its nothing like the a7s (of course). Im trying to dial in some settings for decent color @The Chris
-
@The Chris my fault. Didn't pull out a chart to measure the DR, just used it in the real world and didn't seem to be much of a difference in DR from what I got out of my GH4. I def said you need to underexpose as well :-)
-
I would totally pass on the nx500 and get the nx1 if you can to be honest....
-
that would be incredible ! I just installed 1.41 and the kino seed update and the UI is so fast, so responsive ! Looks like it is performing better than it did on 1.40
-
didn't know you had a facebook page with the hack stuff, following it now ! @kinoseed
-
@iamoui let me know how that goes ! Im not brave enough to move to 1.41 yet hahahha
-
And this is with the new hack for 1.41 ?
-
Hmm, maybe we should do 120 for HD and 160 for UHD ? Maybe thats the sweet spot
-
It's cool ! This was vivid at -10 sharpness,-5 saturation, 0 contrast and 0 hue. My luma was aT 16-235 cause premiere acts weird with 0-255 unless you convert to 16-235 with fast color corrector. If you Insist on using 0-255 I would move the master black level to +8 or +15. No DIS and def rolling shutter in 4K but idc. Not anal about rolling shutter, I seen rolling shutter artifacts when watching "The Green Inferno" in theaters. Just don't whip pan. I shot this with a 28mm, 50mm & 85mm handheld. I use default srgb with kodak 5207 at super 16mm @Georg P. Mueller

@Inazuma roughly 10 stops with pp off bro, not much different than what you are getting out of your GH cameras. Cine 4 is close to the dr of slog (in the highlights)when underexposed slightly. For general use i use autumn picture style , cine 1 in the day, and cine4 indoors with tungsten lighting. Worked great for me I only pulled out slog if there were way too many blown out areas in the frame
