He makes custom orders very quickly usually, so I doubt it will take long.

Flip screen would be nice, but not having ML is a massive deal breaker for me.
-
Not really sure why you would buy an m10 over an m1 though... is there some benefit to that?
-
Was he arguing that? I took it as he wasn't, but I don't really know haha. I think I made this whole thing worse earlier by using the word "compression" which wasn't the right word. I mean if there's no difference between FF vs smaller sensors, why don't we all just have s16 sensors? Or even an Iphone? I thought that was what this whole thread was really about, camera "aesthetics" not whether or not your equiv framing/aperture is the same.
-
I don't think anyone was arguing the math... These CGIs are useless, they show us nothing of sensor difference only equivalence of focal length and aperture, which as far as I can tell everyone had agreed on.
-
If you're only going to use that clamp on the 16H, the Raf is a much better option.
-
I don't know if you've seen but Raf actually makes a 16-H clamp now that is exactly the same as a Redstan (but costs a 1/4 the price).
-
I guess the missing part is actually the sensor equiv., as lens equiv. means nothing when the sensor is never actually equiv.
-
hahaha. True. I'm more interested than anything. In the past I'd usually side with the general concensus here without much thought, as in practice it pretty similar, but Mattias got me thinking... doesn't mean I'm right of course.
-
I think I'm confused as I don't get whether they are moving the shot or not, I would agree a locked off tripod and static subject would make this a lot better comparison. The Framing and the Bokeh being very similar between equiv. 50 and 25 makes perfect sense to me, I just feel as though there has to be more to it, it seems too simple hahaha.
-
I'm confused, but my brain is trying to tell me that the background compression has to change somewhat as you are using a 25mm vs a 50mm from the same distance (regardless of crop), which is what I think @Mattias Burling was saying. I agree that framing of a person and Bokeh could be made to look similar with an equivalent lens on different sized sensors.

Exactly! Goodbye Nikon, this world was too much for you.

I've had both 17-55 and 24-105 from the beginning and I'd say personally that the 24-105 is by far my most used lens. At it's wide end of 24 I don't find it to be particularly pleasing but a little further on and to 105 it's really good value for the prices it sells today. 17-55 is OK but I don't think it's as good as the praise people seem to be giving it lately, I don't consider it L level quality as some do. Personally I think a 24-105/ 16-35 combo is best (or the 17-40 IS if you need IS), then if you want to go really wide pick up one of the Tokina ultra wide zooms to fill the gap (I don't find them super pleasing either, but they do the job well enough for a good price). If you really want quality and light, shoot with primes (that's what I do if it's a requirement).

When people ask why not just "anafake" it, you send them this video.

That's a super cheap price on the Elmo, it's worth more than those other two imo. -
I already have all that stuff you mentioned from other cameras. Can anybody throw up those pics for me???
-
Can't say I'm really liking it, need to see more shots, but I don't like the Bokeh really. Good that you are experimenting though! That's the best way to hone your skills and find new looks.

What is this thread?

hahahahaha funny indeed. The graph made me feel better @Mattias Burling.

Don't bother with 5Dii over 7D it's not worth it, go 5Diii or don't bother with 5D line.
