Wild Ranger got a reaction from mercer in GH5 to Alexa Conversion
    Here is, I just uploaded!
I was just playing with the lens, it soft but i love the character. I'm thinking in using it on some music videos, maybe some narrative film. The film-noir suits very nice with it.
I shot everything in the 4:3 anamorphic mode so i can frame correctly, then cropped in post. Maybe i will post a 4:3 version. Film grain is real super 16 that I shot my self.

    Hi everyone!
I'm just passing by to show this...

    It's a Som Berthiot Pan-Cinor 17-85 f2. Old C-mount lens from super 16.
In a couple of hours I'm uploading a video test I show with this one, using Alexa color and some Super 16 film textures that had shot my self a couple of years ago.

Yeah that’s another excellent short @Wild Ranger ... simple concept with smart ideas. You should look into submitting to Eli Roth’s Crypt TV, I think they have a submission call going on right now.
Are you using Sage’s LUTS with the GH5s in these shorts?
@Sage if you ever get a 5D3, you’ll be blown away by ML Raw. And if you’re capable of creating processing apps to convert the footage from MLV to CDNG or ProRes, I’m sure a LogC curve, before the render, would be epic. I find Canon color responds nicely to low strength Arri LUTS already, so with your skills... Check out the MLV App to get an idea.

If I had the 5D3, I'd support it! Perhaps I may yet (though it definitely has better native color than the GH5)
My favorite was 'Short-Cut' - I showed it to my coworker, who is a runner ; )

They’re well deserved. I loved how you used the practical flickering lights to break up the shots and acting of the screaming actor.
That’s a difficult scene to play for any actor and by breaking it up you built story tension and allowed your actors’ talent at physical acting to play without going overboard.
And damn, that was some nice color work!

Thanks @mercer comments and opinions about one's  work are always very appreciated! ?
That's the real magic of making films and other stuff, you have know how to put all the elements together, pretty images are only that... pretty images.
I have shoot a feature during 3 years with a Nikon D7100 and D5300, and also a couple of super 16mm cans (Fuji Eterna); and I'm pretty satisfied with how the film end up looking. But It's also the hole production value that's in there that make the film look nice, not only the camera.
I think what you have made with this luts is great, it' just give some really nice color to the GH5, and i'm not really that picky if it's 110% accurate, for me it's just works.

Be sure to incorporate Arri's 709 RGB primaries; that's a critical step. This brings up skintone, especially relative to blue, all things equal. Main/Soft incorporate this, as well as a nicer starting point than standard Arri 709
Here is a breakdown on Arri 709:

And you can dial in a post-production variation of the Rec 709 Lut to your taste here:

I don't bite on this classic argument. Perspective doesn't change (at least it shouldn't) because the camera is set at the same distance, that's why you use crop factor for measurement.

Talking about crop sensor and cheating on them.
I wanna recommend this adapter, The Viltrox EF-M2. Is´t really sharp, nice optics, works really well with electronic EF lenses and it cost a third the price of the Metabones speedbooster.

I'm not kidding, it is a really good adapter.

    5-10-18 Update to V2
    - Emotive Color component branched into three routes: Main/Soft/Pop
    - Main/Soft have V1-like luma placement (for brightly exposed footage)
    - Pop maximizes highlight range (for base ISO darkly exposed footage)
    - Relaxed Noise Floor
(The default no longer requires luma placement for bright exposure, à la V1)

HI everybody! Long time ago I shared my first Teaser and also some Super 16mm shots from my Feature, "Black or White". After all this time we finally made it so i wanted to share the official trailer. The film is beginning it's festival tour this November so we are hoping to make it travel around the world, finger crossed

If you are wondering, yes.. We shot all the film on Nikons D7100 and D5300. A little old by now (we started 3 years ago) with all the 4k cameras around, but i think the look holds pretty well. There is also some Super 16mm footage.

Thanks! I still dont know wich camera will buy next, I dont mind changin brands. Lenses where old Nikons, because they are cheap. Light was very minimal in some situations, nothing very fancy in terms of equipment, a lot of simple light bulbs in some interior scenes. Sound was very changing, but most of the time it was a Rode NTG-2/3 and a Zoom h4n. then it A LOT of post-production time invested to make it sound like a "movie".

I used a simple Neutral profile little tweaked to make it more flat.

Most of the shots in the trailer are from the Nikon, including the girls hand and eye.
    Thanks i'm really proud :D

Hi, Thank you a lot! I am really proud of it.
The final shot was made with a combination of Stills, 3d mapping and in last place a macro shot of the recorder, then al composed in a after effects, that was the only way, its kind of a imposible shot without a lot of expensive gear.
