  1. Rich Id love to see the trump with oval bokeh on this to amplify it up while keeping a better aspect ratio....could be a match made in heaven really.
  2. I loved it, I cant wait for mine to come in so I can add a 1.5X oval aperture with the 1.5 isco and make my iscorama a 2X. Going to be very sweet indeed.
  3. Ive been waiting on BMD and changing my order to the pocket for the price I was willing to invest in their cameras at this point. But now Im actually looking into the Kineraw mini. Waiting on a full review from you for things like the false color (easy to remove?) Later today Im going to grab those frames and take a look.   Im being given a pocket cam for  the full week but with the white orbs I have no idea what Im actually comfortable shooting with it. MIght throw the iscorama on it and see what it does to an anamorphic flare lol. But anyways just right now at this point today Im seriously considering this kineraw mini instead of dealing with the BMD BS
  4. What does your  last sentence mean for eoshd members, its early and Im just finally getting a coffee but I dont quite understand   "1 day of free handheld stabilizer use for each day of aerial filming"
  5. Here is a short clip from last night, just hanging out down by the river with this massive swing my father put in. Love it down there, bonfires, drinks, nature, swings over the water.   https://vimeo.com/72460915
  6.   Sorry I must have missed this comment, the nobs are for aligning he anamorphic lens then locking it in place.
  7. Im sorry you have to expect this, that is a rediculous starting price for that lens, reminds me of the rollie version thats been on ebay close to a year or more. I wouldn't expect to sell that anytime soon.   I paid close to 3k for mine and it came with like 2 sets of diopters and the holy grail Tokina +0.4 and that was earlier this year.
  8. This is the one I was referring to, but dont hold your breath its a kickstarter so you wont get it for better part of a year   http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1555066985/the-ghost-dslr-video-camera-stabilizer
  9. if you are going that route Id look into the cheaper movi options that are coming available. Glidecam is pretty expensive still isnt it? There is that guy with the 2 axis stabilization Ive seen recently, would really work with a GH2 not for DSLR and a heavy lens.
  10. Definitely, Im taking just the fuji and the cinema pocket next time not the D800, F100 and fuji lol. DSLR's are dying a slow death, I cant see myself lugging this stuff around anymore.
  11. It is night and day, now I could have done a lot better but I had walked a lot that day with tons of gear and was a bit tired from sleeping on the ground the night before so I didnt do my best. I should do a test showing with and without...so much to do but I really recommend the pocket rig. It just looks and feels like you have a battery grip on your camera.
  12. I think he wanted to get caught, was a great one though it blew my mind last night. Great post BTW Rich!
  13. Here is the video clip, unedited I just quickly uploaded last night for you guys to check out.    https://vimeo.com/71625038
  14. I have never used that lens before but 85mm is a great focal length for a 2X anamorphic. I used a nikon 50mm 1.4D with it and it had a slight amount of vignetting...well slight being how far into frame but it was noticeable. The 58mm helios worked better and then on my nikon when I went into dx or crop mode it was great and thats around 80mm. I was just going through some nice video I shot with it while I was away, I can post something tomorrow maybe. Here is a still from video I shot on a fuji xe-1 crop sensor and nikon 50mm.
  15. HAHA I just got something, man I can be slow sometimes. I forgot about that little guy!
  16. Hi everyone,    So Im going to sell my Kowa 16H to fund a Trump lens, I got really good at the dual focus thing. This lens is in perfect shape, focus is smooth and I dont think there is any paint or exterior wear on it. I also have nice matching red stan clamps for attaching the lens to the taking lens and for attaching 72mm filters.   Im only looking to recover my cost, $880 + shipping and this is not even including the cost of the clamps. IM a regular here and will not leave anyone high and dry also Im not charging the ridiculous amount that was recently posted.   I paid about 625Euro for the lens and 70GBP for the clamps. Which works out to a little over $860CAD for the lens and $110 for the clamps.   $960 - $80 = $880CAD   Im dealing with canadian dollars so you may get a break depending on what currency you are working with.   Here are some photos, I think Im going to miss the clamps even they are so well made. I'm going to use this lens as much as possible till its gone too. Let me know if you have any questions, I think I'm being reasonable on my asking price.
  17. This was the email I recieved, I will email him and ask if its out of beta so I can share a link or something.   "Hi I'm sending this to you because you made a donation. There's a new version out, the first non-beta version, and I wanted donors to be the first ones to get it. What to expect: * Same colors (based on Portrait, so: better skin tones than with Neutral-based profiles) * Less noise in the shadows (I simplified the curve and raised the black point, I think this cleans up the shadows a little bit, please tell me what you think) * Similar DR (the camera won't give me any more), maybe slightly better in the highlights (very slightly), and also in the shadows if you think in terms of "usable" There's a difference for grading: I raised the black poing slightly, so you'll have to bring it down in post. This is what's giving me slightly cleaner shadows. It's not overdone, so it won't give you the noisy-midtones issue of Canon's CineStyle."
  18. Hey,   1. I was more in the light then the wide shots, created more of a flare so I left them that way. The wider shots I was back next to a tree not getting the same cast of light.   2. yes I did a bit of a stabilize in post and a bit of rolling shutter fixing. Well as much time as I wanted to spend on them anyways, my kit was small as I had to hike in 5-6Kms and 400 meter elevation and I sit on the computer all the time so Im out of shape dammit haha I just used the edelkrone pocket rig trying to rack with the isco so it still came out a bit shaky..   I did the edit in premiere then exported the xml to resolve so that I could render clips with handles and then did all the sharpen, grain, CC and stabilizing work in Nuke, then back to premiere for final output.
  19. I had the BMD Hyperdeck shuttle 2 for some of it. I ended up selling it because I felt that you were not gaining enough quality for the cost and weight it added to the rig. Mostly this is all shot recording to the internal CF and SD slots. The flaat profiles were sent to me in an email as an update that seems to have reduces some really bad noise an mushy parts in the end. I'll try to find out if those are up yet they were send to me in may so it should be available. I think he sent them because I ended up paying for those other 2 versions the 9 and 13stops. I usually sty around the 10-11 range though.
  20. This was shot on the Nikon D800 with the new version of the Flaat profiles.
  21. I like the look of it and I didnt think that adding an oval aperture would have that effect. Very cool
  22. Some great footage shot from the hike up to Joffre Lakes / Matier Glacier. Shot mostly using my DSO lens and Iscorama Anamorphic lens. I had a great time and you get to see Kjeld slack line next to 2nd lake. Make sure to check it out in 1080P and let me know if you have any questions or CC   http://vimeo.com/71486205
