Equally as frustrating to me is how Sony, Canon, and most all the manufacturers provide the scantiest information on how to best use the features they provide to get the best results. This means countless hours of individuals trying to figure it out for themselves. Such time can't be avoided altogether, but surely it could be minimized with the proper information. But, this subject really is another post, isn't it?

That's the biggest problem of all. Not only they create pages and pages of menus, they don't even explain well how you should use all those options!

To do that I have to put myself in the shoes of my audience. It's like an out of body experience where you have to try to leave your ego behind and just see whether your work entertains you as an audience

That's very nice! To have confidence in yourself, you must be confident that you can "judge" your work as someone else. Maybe that's why we are never 100% sure, because we can never be 100% someone else!!!

While mac can have good performance with FCP, editing with premiere offers the same performance as an equivalent spec'ed windows computer.

I know it's hard to spend the money a Macbook Retina costs, even more if you compare it with a similar PC. But if you use FCP X all the money is well spent!!!

If you are a Premiere guy, get a PC!

Canon EF has become the de facto low- end mount for the industry. I wouldn't read more into it than that.

I dream of a world of standards! Adapters are nice, but no adapters is and will always be better!!! Panasonic making a camera with Canon EF mount seem easy to us, but I don't think it was.
