New regulation opens three ways: 1) No required authorisation; 2) No difference between non-commercial and commercial usage; 3) the vast European territory to include as for instance UK or Norway beyond EU under the same umbrella. Besides, the chance for "toy" certification under the Directive 2009/48/EC. Here's a more detailed useful chart then: source

From update #5 received today, new enhancements include: Increased capacity for the calibration database for the AFX to now allow up to 128 lens/camera setups to be stored. Zoom lens files now have five “tracks” of calibration to compensate for focus differences in non-parfocal lenses at different focal lengths. Calibration procedure is now semi-automated. Multi Client/Server mode over Bluetooth LE to enable AFX to drive MMX units, pass range data to a PBC to act as an outboard distance indicator unit or even source range data from another AFX. New option for AFX to drive MMX over a wired connection through Port 3 of the MMX instead of over Bluetooth LE. Switchable user preference for metric or imperial display of distance.

Interesting improvement as matter of fact putting the gaming graphics beyond the mobile workstation predecessor generation: https://technical.city/en/video/Quadro-RTX-5000-mobile-vs-GeForce-RTX-3080-mobile And you can already pre-order yours at that side too whatever size (15.6" or 17") you want: https://www.skikk.eu/en/laptops/15ds50 https://www.skikk.eu/en/laptops/17ds70 @ Max-Q version (but with 16GB VRAM anyway) : https://www.notebookcheck.net/GeForce-RTX-3080-Mobile-vs-GeForce-RTX-3080-Mobile_10586_10474.247598.0.html

In fact, they say tent mode is where the full power is. One of the modes providing extra airflow. "Inside the docking station is Nvidia's GeForce RTX 3080 GPU clocked at 1810 MHz at 150W with ROG Boost and is cooled by a vapor chamber cooling system. This design increases the contact surface area by 54% compared to the traditional heat pipes." source And also here is an interesting review from the usual suspects. "The cooling module is designed to draw fresh air from the bottom of the laptop, through open intakes over the two fans, and push it out through two vents placed under the screen, and an extra vent on the left side." "As for the thermal design, illustrated below, Asus went with a dual-fan cooling module, with three heatsinks and a multitude of heatpipes. They also opted for the 2021-updated Arc Flow fans with asymmetrical blades, which increase airflow by up to 13% (official literature) without impacting noise. Furthermore, the laptop implements what Asus calls the 0Db technology, the ability to completely switch off both fans with light use on the Silent profile, as long as the CPU/GPU keep under certain temperatures."

Indeed. https://wccftech.com/all-m1-mac-models-no-egpu-support/ So, a minus for the use of apps powered by GPU such as Resolve.

As much as when we study Geography as program of studies, it is impossible to dissociate geography from human presence to comprehend many angles of the same to include social aspects, economics, politics and so on. History as well. Made of past centuries but decades too. Where the contemporary era has a role to play. Or should. We cannot reduce the physical presence of any population as much as continent population without considering a comprehensive set of them. Absolutely impossible. Otherwise, that's pure exclusion at best or its worst, because that's really what such blindness has offered for the subject matter.

Go to see the difference between M1 vs eGPU performance and you won't think the same : ) Let alone heat management.

I personally met him in Oporto along a film festival (Fantasporto) a couple of decades ago... lovely personality, polite, not vedette-diva type at all, human and attentive mate, my kudos to him. My personal perspective : ) Even though, I've heard the film festival organisation had (in 2004) some complaints on his hotel expenditures when he left... LOL :- ) - E.

LOL It is on the way... Our trouble is we need years to put our stuff out there, these youtubers do it in such amazing record along the same week, even though, not exactly for this brand here, a bit ignored, once famous for computers, not smartphones, cams and so on. Guess what, we're getting two units for 3D crash cam, go figure, I think you had missed this post of mine here to also mention the raised bar or you'd have nailed the task force and joined the band : D Happy New Year, Marty (E :- )

Ultra high resolution stuff, I meant. I've recently found the work of this filmmaker I vividly recommend. Maybe it is possible to realize then somewhat larger than life is nothing but resolution after all too : ) - E.
