  1. People won't stop with this "silly thinking" until people like you will still see the photographers or shooters community as the only whole, and think (your) standards as no more than your (golden) standards. There is photography beyond. And world beyond mediocracy. Not everyone shares the same butt game, many business segments. Point taken, that one of yours. It's obvious. For regular readers/users of a camera forum, it's obvious. Just don't think there's one single truth. Different strokes for different folks... ; ) In a word? Art.
  2. They call it autonomy ; ) Reason why I didn't buy an electric car yet. Without mention, an used car using gas can beat a similar one of 2020, electric cars outdate is much more critical. Let alone the price range, go figure a Tesla! Pardon me, but in the mirrorless world, such example is even funny... ; ) Ah, and Trump doesn't care a bit for climate issues, so my contribution would only end unfortunately too little...
  3. Right on the spot : ) Marty, you're an asset for this forum. David, you too, good post BTW! Fortunately, these finds make this forum, not only : D mere heated discussions when they pop up... ; -)
  4. Already posted before : ) A grading fail to promote anything. Lack of DR. 4K 120fps coupled to the R5 combo is priceless, just not in the hands of this dude along this sample IMHO : -)
  5. To my book, I sincerely don't see much use for R6 : -)
  6. Seems pretty more clear to me after reading a few comments here, some of you should realize that Blackmagic is the most professional brand for this price range target, whether you appreciate their own or not... : ) R5 is just a specialised tool. It's a big mistake if they will present it as much other than that.
  7. Jokes aside, 8K can be a perfect format to have both video and stills for large format printing as for instance, in the same take : -)
  8. Which would hopefully mean an exciting add-on with the best shooting interface I've ever seen from their cameras... ; -)
  9. There's something new on there? It's funny to come here and see this reported to the sited based in Vienna when Manchester had first-hand notice and became topic of the month... ; -)
  10. Anyone...? https://www.imdb.com/video/vi1084931865
  11. I agree, both ways actually : -)
  12. They decidedly have to improve their communication. I've been saying this for ages! I even was accused here to harass BMD reps over these same pages because I simply said the truth. And I am a brand enthusiast and happy camper, go figure! : X Let alone their arrogance RED never had with me as customer. I tend to believe the fact I and Jarred consider each other friends have nothing about such personal experience : -)
  13. PS: I wonder what the filmmakers who made and got their decisions on this one would think on topic... LOL ; )
  14. It's funny to see people worried with resolution about their lenses... Only for broadcast television and manufacturer brochures I've seen such concern. Not even for big screen : ) The world of lenses is a whole different universe. They invariably match as a combo. To resolve more lines can even be more an issue than the opposite. Take a look on this sample for new R5 here where resolution can end to be more useful for certain usage and less for other purposes, so horses for courses is the norm there : -)
  15. I believe both sides can coexist and even complement each other. A diversity of POVs should not hurt. Why this must always tend to be polarized?! Revolutionary, your mileage may vary and that's not exactly a 16mm form factor at same time, all concur and don't exclude each other. Hard to get? : -)
  16. No need to downvote and paint the forums from a negative perspective, just take a look on the versatility of this.
  17. Love really cheap cameras, so does Blackmagic, Pocket all included ; ) Great cams BTW : -)
  18. Tease me up! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdB_Gam-igg&lc=UgwKhekRV1OUO4XU1g94AaABAg.9BCNLNjbN0-9BCRvBZWuPO
  19. All you say has a good point in the back of it but two variables can help to change a bit: modern sensors' higher sensitivity and fast small sensor coverage glass as lighter as more handy we can get ; ) On the other hand: We finally have 100% RGB Color coverage (now) !
  20. Means sorta Pocket version is coming... FF, very likely, I'd dare to bet. For soon.
