I stand it again. From last night : ) Here's a new offer from them running nowadays: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/duken-switch-x-smart-phone-gimbal/x/27010266#/

This is an incredible product & initiative, credits & kudos to EOSHD & @Andrew Reid too! A milestone for the Indie filmmaking movement with standard industry mainstream tools (E :- )

Latest Firmware : AFX v1.7 for all camera types/Blackmagic Cameras With v7.3 installed

As far as I could learn from my own testing, I guess H.265 actually serves not only for storage savings. Seems 10-bit has a determinant role to play on IQ as well. Luminance-wise other than colour. E :- )
-
Thank you for telling us about your findings : ) Actually, I cannot now anymore once this test was already produced a few time ago when I was trying to understand the advantage as well as its limits on the newer H.265, B&W included from prior recorded footage. I concur with you, I always try to compare the variables following identical parameters despite my unscientific disclaimer at any rate : ) Earlier I had found good results on human faces for H.265, not so much details regarding the background. These gave me a much sharper outcome there too and jaggies free going beyond my own expectations then, comparing with my previous experience with. I believe because I ended with the same/similar bitrate this time.

From '30s Weissmuller's Tarzan on nowadays 1080p B&W copy: 8-bit H.264 10-bit H.265 Similar bitrate. Different jagged edges though ; ) Out of curiosity, any other samples and takers... out there? ;- )

Artificial voices generated from text. The future of video narration?

A bless for producers and creators in general other than those who make it for a living ;- ) -
Here's some optional setup of these fun building combos:

Absolutely amazing at this level... : ) I'd firmly nominate you for an Academy Award for Technical Achievement aka Technical Oscar and trust me, from my experience with my previous Herr Doktor Horst Linge (Isco), your achievement is on such list ; ) You're a third party player, not a major camera manufacturer bigwig (yet) ! ;- ) - E.

For sure... DVX100 was the poor man's Cinealta F900 in those days before the F900R had arrived half dozen years later ; ) And part of the Panny 's fame on supporting the indie filmmaking community comes from there :- )
-
That's where everything began. Cinealta for affordable video capture... going along 24p, progressive output at best. Where? In Podgorica, Crna Gora? :- )

I have the One X2 too and am very surprised on their bet for rugged quality appearance along their product to be pretty straightforward, one of a kind, I was expecting a toy it is not : ) Their integration and software is a lesson to the usual suspect players :- ) I am even thinking to buy a 2nd unit if the first one will pass in the test towards promising manual 1080p 120fps acquisition for 3D production... Think about mounted on a cheap drone like this one as for instance. And here's another reviewer I really do appreciate his insights and voice over work BTW, someone dealing with health issues on his voice, go figure : X

Mine (in their 2nd version) arrives tomorrow... : ) Love the videos of this YouTuber BTW :- )
