  1. ah funny, do you live in Kiev? are you Ukrainian too? I lived there along 2021-2013 : ) Do you work in the Ukrainian film industry? I believe there's not easy to find stock of Soviet glass there anymore or am I wrong to assume that? ; ) These small devices are completely proper of a very different realm I found a decade ago, people do photo shoots with iPhones now, not exactly in Kiev but a bit everywhere else...
  2. I fully understand you : ) DJI has the best range on small form factor end, based on their gimbal bet. Everyone coming from film realm follows the reason why I am used to never end keep saying it :- ) PS What a dream!! : ) Loved it! Is she your relative, model, actress?

    DJI Mavic 3

Yeah, 250g is the way to go because of the regulations... :- )

    Insta360 Go

And this is to those who miss (the) 4K resolution *cough cough* ; ) well, it can be useful over VR to take a glance on this, anyway:
  5. Still wondering on 4K 120fps realm...?

    Insta360 Go

(posted on GoPro thread but deserves its right to be here... amazing outcome BTW, I've never seen such tiny acquisition device to produce so lovely results so far, I can only invite any single reader here to order and have promised fun with : )
  7. BTW last weekend's tests had to be postponed to next one. A nightmare to deal with the incompatibility of wireless coupled to 2x Go2 apparentely solved a few hours later (I hope!*) to succeed the necessary learning curve led us there. *Lesson #1: Deselect the auto mode (forget it!) on wireless and set up your connection manually (very simple: just add the password supplied by default); *Lesson #2: Deselect the View App on Insta360 app coming from camera mode back to album mode (no need to leave the app) or sooner or later you'll be in trouble and it's not a faulty unit in hands ;- )
  8. It's not possible to get the GoPro7 frame-locked like the earlier GoPro. With 60fps i didn't really have any problems with time difference between the cameras, but I have mostly used it for next to static shots. From 100fps on, you're safe... : )
  9. Yeah, we know, the lightest, most affordable and HFR is a crucial replace for the 3D rig and the need of sync capture devices.
  10. My bet is David Newman, the man beyond Danny Boyle's choice on digital over film (EAG :- )
  11. Me too! : ) To those to whom it may concern to think that cameras ordinarily replace each other... here's why not: if in the 1st case you need to discount the nonsensical different lens focal length setup also obviously available going along the GoPro route... in this 2nd test you'll fairly realize why I am a proud Osmo Pocket supporter and owner... or recently bought (received my 2nd unit yesterday!) another action camera -- oh yeah, from another camera maker (take a look on this 3rd one ; ) No matter how many new models are introduced by some other manufacturers and may continuously plan to still use them all as well... because of that neat principle in the shooting world: horses for courses ;- )
  12. I dunno, I've learned something: Don't wait for next camera anymore! EAG :- )
  13. A couple of them coming... I am not sure if you yet realize THIS is the best capture device ever (4K 120fps) for 3D acquisition in 2021, considering the size and price I invite everyone to test and you will all remember these words from now on ;- ) We'll be testing this weekend 2x Insta360 Go2 on a Mini 2 because of its 26.5g 0.935oz x2 capability, here's an interesting test from another shooter up to 10oz to certify also handling the weight for Go Pro mounted there, be ready for: EAG :- )
  14. So didn't you test the 4K 120fps capability yet @jpfilmz?
  15. And I'll be following up your findings, thanks! :- )
  16. I had no idea this was out here already, I believe you've just placed a new order to pop up from my end here now... @jpfilmz what about 4K 120fps?
  17. These boards are more entertaining than a lot of Hollywood stuff ready for ; ) C'mon guys let's not forget this: I feel myself tempted to buy one or suggest the beast at least every moment people ask me for the best standard capture device to go with on a set : ) I think this becomes now the cinema camera by excellence now!
  18. That's the hell of a combo, this makes this solution the best one all around available these days IMO :- )
  19. I don't doubt it will be something to follow up, even though overpriced. Hey, I wrote "manual exposure" mode between commas : D The whole point is if we have more than exposure compensation to adjust... If only so, it's useless, once to be able to lock it, this won't give us control over the shutter speed: ...plain crucial to manage flickering under bulbs.
  20. Thanks : ) Any idea on the "manual exposure" mode? How much is it... "adjustable"? Any control on the shutter speed? Any flicker-free settings available or is the glass half empty after all?
  21. https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/raspberry-pi-makes-your-retro-analogue-camera-digital/ https://newatlas.com/photography/befinitiv-raspberry-pi-cosina-3d-printed-film-digital-camera/ Some other older similar projetcs: https://www.sparkfun.com/news/2206 https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/i-m-back-low-cost-medium-format-digital-back/x/27010266#/ So, here is another prototype.
  22. Anyone has experience with this one here? https://speechelo.com
  23. I've just received an update from a client of mine wondering about the same and seems there are good news: it actually does! Is manual exposure confirmed on 4K 120fps capture...? Now just needs to know if... with sound recording along 4K 120fps simultaneously too?
  24. Hasselblad cooperation resulting on accurate CS with raw photo capture & 8K 30p & 4K 120fps video specs Anyone knows once the option of 120fps is available under the 'video mode' (not under the 'slow motion mode'), if we have manual exposure control on 4K 120fps as well?
