I don't see why you can't have the best of both worlds to couple a R5C (8K60p + 4K120fps) and a S5IIX (IBIS) as for instance, on PDAF camp, simply going along EF glass?

Interesting how they rule out any else other than Canon's adapter to allow EF lenses on their R camera lineup to pair such combo now. Looks like this time a clear and promising win-win for more to come on the Panasonic camp, finally... sigh :- )

PS: That 1/6 fraction of the price for refurbished condition. From my experience, I don't recommend it for this type of tech though (tablets and alike -- anything subject to pop up overheat issues later on). Only for new condition units anyway. Open box... ;- )

PDAF is a risky step for Panasonic, only manual focus shooters will buy the old stuff from now on and GH6 as well the other L mount offers are too recent and marvelous tools to be outdated on sales side. I believe reason why they have resisted. Too long IMO, but better late than never anyway : D
