i understand the need for reliable af..but this way is too limiting for other need

some people says af in s5 is horrible, some says it is ok..for me if it comparable to xt3 i can live with it, not the best but i have used it most of the time satsfactory

i have realized that i need to add too much money for buying one of these camera, after selling my xt3. So now i cannot do this upgrade, unless i go for panasonic S5 which seems nice camera now at very low price. AF of it it is not as good as the other camera, but if it is similar to xt3 than can be ok and the upgrade worthy considering that i should add little money. What do you think?

they all havce the same problem though..may be sony fx30 less. Rarely can be found on the second hand market. I am not on the idea to buy this stuff new, want and need o save some.. To tell the truth it s been years i am tempted from sony gear..after having panasonic and fuji, mainly becuase of what i hear about AF. I had an action cam by sony as200 and for a while a zv1..and i have always found them great For the mirrorless with sony i read lots of complain on iq, expecially on colours, and overheating in general. Also, of course, more expensive and give less for same price trend

Of course i have the 18 55 and 55 200 lens from fuji..and i could sell them to buy new lens system. Normally i buy used so the panasonic being just relased might be harder to find? Also i see fx30 that is supposed to be the only cinemacamera (i do 95% video) seems not really estimated...

Hello upgrading from xt3 and looking for a new tool. IQ, af,stabilization and htt more close to run and gun are the feature i look for. I am not going to to much color correction, si the best is out of the cam. If in that proce range would exists a camcorder with conparable.feature i would consider it. Thanks for suggestion

hello need some help with autofocus in videomode. With all change made form firmware, and also because i have never used that much my xt3 i don't have still so clear how to use it Mainly, for now, i want to be able to control focus either by pressing with my finger on the screen , to have that part in focus. Or, once i have set my focus box somewhere in the screen the focus should be always automatically in that box, wheter i move the camera or what is in front of my camera change or move I have notice that if the camera autofocus on a part on its own, is slower than if i tap on the screen t focus. And sometimes that slowness is better.but i don t exactly know how it works The use of that function on the screen, the hand with finger on upper right corner, yet it is no very clear. AF,area,off,shot..If i set it to AF, when i tap the screen goes to off,,, well i have some confusion, for start i woul like to know how to focus in the 2 ways above, while mantaining face detection. Btw, can detect 2 faces? thank you
