  1. Why not? Don't they worth that mark?... I've had many brands, Blackmagic is not inferior in any way whatsoever, if not much more worthy from their value for the money... up to IQ you struggle to find how to beat with the other contenders if any. No more no less : ) You're simply underrating them, be fair : -) Ah and something else, some of complaints I read over the boards sounds to me when you try to cook some omelet for your family of twelve with two eggs. YOUR media won't handle a way faster bit rate nor your drive when overloaded with footage of the day before. Please let's learn how to handle digital media to begin with before starting to complain with no cause...? PS: @mercer You've added a confused reaction... but how do you think people feel when you seem to firmly state you wouldn't pay USD 2500 for a Blackmagic camera when that amount is simply a bargain for what you receive from them?? He wouldn't be the first one... ; -)
  2. Andrew, your online location is a mark for mirrorless filmmaking as Jarred was to prosumer 24p before his RED adventure. A milestone in the history of this medium. Once heard from the legend Tonino Guerra himself addressed to me and a couple of us present then, that "these Japanese cameras were the future of the cinema" [sic].
  3. As someone wrote up there on YT comments... from "THE MOST UNDERRATED BAND OF ALL TIME" and written by some YT user in capital letters (expressly quoted as the way it was originally written): Tell us what you listen : -)
  4. LOL Jokes aside, for some reason : ) An uncle of mine would give anything he can only for having both of yours. Trust my almost 5 decades of life now, tools are like whores, your health is your wife : -)
  5. Don't sell your kidney... Geekness or even filmmaking are not worthy, your health is : -)
  6. An enthusiastic way to say I am all in, buddy, don't take me in a strict literal geographic meaning if so. I love toys! LOL Really, nothing against to play with them ; ) If not, they become boring, hope not with yours for sure, I bet. E : -)
  7. Tom Antos rocks, his bias is filmmaking, that honors us his viewers : ) He always tend to focus on the pros rather than cons which makes his comments pretty useful comparing to others : -) And he didn't mention yet the Ian's 'toy' (LiDAR), go figure when it will happen! ; -)
  8. My friend, I've tried to give lessons for free in occasional restaurants to waitresses (don't lose your time with waiters! LOL : ) so go figure how I feel your pain! (E : -)
  9. Well, rejoice, you have the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K... Ever heard? ; -)
  10. Much cheaper way to load your back:
  11. Rather sincerely, mate, how old are you? : ) I don't think it's a matter to believe or not. He just don't want his pub hehe (hey A., @Andrew Reid loved that one!) transformed in a rumors goofy house. Based on official announcements instead... : -)
  12. Andrew, you forgot to lock this one! LOL : ) To lock a thread is not censorship. I myself have had a couple of threads locked. It is called editorial policy instead. It's Andrew's home, let's don't forget... We can't like all the yellow, isn't it? And we don't have to agree to surely respect each other one here : -)
  13. Here's the first one to begin with : ) Let's add more entries?
  14. Glenn, nice to see you saying it : ) Pity, not so much understand that filmmaking is invariably a combo starting point (E : -)
  15. But you already did it before... I meant a couple of them : ) One has now posted. Still misses one though, so far. Rules are rules, apply everyone : -)
  16. With 2cameraAPI you can have both log and up to 200Mbps. 48MP Samsung or Sony sensors based brought by Redmi is the best price ratio you'll find out there : -)
  17. 5. Should the equipment be discussed? (...) Yes, but only after the event has finished... Really? Where are the other people addressing it here? But actually just an absence of respect for this community instead, from a few of the contenders lacking a mandatory care to comply the whole thing, after all... So, people should detail it to begin with whether published in the front page or later by our host Andrew.
  18. I suppose fully fits both Pocket versions : -)
  19. Are you sure? I dunno... Guys, Canon is abandoning 24p! LOL : ) Just kiddin' (Couldn't resist! ; -)
  20. It is not what I've heard about... Right wing neighborhood? Really? Mention one, please? If you mean Neukölln in Berlin and the most recent news, have you ever been there? Maybe better to ask to Andrew about it who has lived in the town? We're speaking about a large area, a middle town inside the big capital as matter of fact. And plenty of a multicultural atmosphere BTW, don't compare German organisation (i.e. order and discipline) to any other in any part of the world. There, rules the law, the ruler rules. Just two cents of Euro coming from a former foreigner inhabitant in German sovereignty (it's all a matter of that, whether in 30s of a century ago or nowadays; pools hint wherever you are, not else, I'd be much worried if I'd be living in the other side of the Atlantic today... ; )
  21. Where exactly? I am not Italian but I can tell you there's no one Italy, but much distinct ones... As much as many places ; ) You instead risk to be killed at the hands of a gang in LA if you go for a walk in certain parts of the town and you pick up a T-shirt to dress with the wrong color. I can assure you this won't happen in any place in Europe as far as I know or had heard about. There's no even (we will) mention mass shootings, go figure... ; -)
  22. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giulio_Andreotti He was a Cristian Democrat elected by universal suffrage. He suffered an ischemic stroke in his 89 year-old body during a TV live show presented by Paola Perego on Sundays in that year of 2008. EDIT -- @maxmizer I hadn't seen your post yet. I don't think Andrew had done in any way other than as our societies today are much influenced by the dominant anglo cultures : ) As Agostinho da Silva once said, Rome transferred itself to Iberian Peninsula five centuries ago and the Brits brought it to the other side of Atlantic. When they took the seas, to begin with, I'd dare to add and say with the triumph on both Industrial Revolution and capitalism as binomial success with the economy to rule the thinking worldwide and the wars to split the people of our old continent twice in the last century. (E. ) PS: Reason why I believe there's a strong reason why we should all worry ourselves with the Brexit process, a really dangerous setback if it will happen as seems probable to occur when there's no statemen like Churchill, De Gaulle, Khol, Andreotti, as for instance, anymore.
  23. Indeed : ) Seems the combo with a sharper more resolution outcome results on that... Really : -)
  24. The 2nd one is some TV show in any Spanish-speaking country instead : -)
