Can't wait to see it this weekend.
Did anyone watch the full video with the DP? He takes some jabs at RED toward the end. Someone asked why he didn't use RED and he said "I've heard bad things about overheating" and that it's made by "a sunglasses company". Hahah. He's an old school film guy, and this was his first job using digital cameras. Said he loved the Alexa and is not going back to film.

Around 1 hour 6 minutes the DP calls out Tom Hardy saying it's hard to plan shots with sunlight when your actor is 2 hours late everyday.

I don't like FF as much as s35 and s16. So if what you say is true, it would be sad. Having to settle for the FFs crop factor. No tele, heavy ND and so on, no thanks. 
Btw, I doubt Steve Jobs is located inside his tombstone and there for not turning in it either ;)

​Well, DoF isn't the only thing. Angle of view changes. People are used to seeing certain lenses "look" a certain way on Super 35. Kind of like how people are used to 24 fps in cinema. It's just part of the look.

Look for other horror films like yours that are out there, with good ad-supported multi-platform distribution and contact those producers to find out who their domestic and international distributor was. chances are, they have a "type" that you're likely going to fit. I went with Gravitas Ventures for domestic and they have been fantastic. 
if you're looking for contact info, you can ask for an introduction, or get an imdb pro account and call them up. Also, I remember getting a compiled list of direct email and phone contacts for a ton of distributors as a member of the film specific web site.

I love when companies make bare bones cameras. Most of us already own monitors, external batteries, etc. It's nice just to plug-n-play a new sensor in a box.

Sigma 18-35 is my favorite lens. Not sure about for wide end though.
i've been using Tokina 11-16 and not a big fan. It adds way too much contrast and is hard to match other lenses.

2. His bread and butter is corporate, music videos, and events. With good equipment he'd be able to book jobs and make bank on simple projects. Work some events and make back that $18,000 in no time. After some capital is built, then maybe shoot a short/feature.
