As long as I wish this was true, it just won't happen. The market is too niche for adding a new product (again), also considering the bad reputation they have, in a niche market everyone knows what they did... abandoned while lying to customers about leaving. wow.

Anyway Samsung is so rich and big they could invest in something that one could turn into profit someday or not, Google has money to waste with failed projects I wonder how much they would have needed to sell for the nx1 to become profitable... 

And selling the sensor to others I don't think it would yeield something close to the nx1.

Don't forget audio compression BT does while sending audio...

Shot entirely with the Samsung NX1 at 60P with DIS ON at 150Mbit using the Nikkor 35mm f2 manual lens.

The DIS works pretty good to OK with manual lenses, unless you do  weird movements!

so how is the resolution now? usual canon soft look?

So basically the only option right now for using a speedbooster with full electronic support is to use Canon EF to m43/sony E? Any another option (nikon instead of Canon or Fuji X instead on m43) is not possible?

Refund denied for the 18-200 cause it's an accessory. What I'll do is try another time with email support explaining my reasons perfectly and then I'll send it to warranty because it actually has a defect (or its made that way, I wrote a post last year about it) and then get a refund cause they won't be able to repair it (probably).

These 2 lenses you have, they are my least favorite of the NX system, really unusable for night shooting. I own the PZ and it is very convenient for day time, small and sufficient, but the low quality of the lens shows with higher ISO. If you add the terrible NR of the camera on video, then this is a recipe for disaster!!

Well it's more because of the NX1 horrible NR that nothing is good for night shooting.

Anyway the GH5 is way too expensive for me, add a speed booster cause I'm for s35 look and you add even more money. For instance how do I get same field of view of the tokina 11-16 I got on the NX1? Sony a6300 only does that in 4k 24p, Fujifilm xt-2 just crops in every 4k mode, GH5 needs expensive accessories.

I'm currently still an hobbyist and I can't quite justify spending those amounts

I think I'm going with a used NX1, still not 100% sure though.
I'm baffled cause I'm tempted with the sony a6300 but overheating thus losing shots is kinda unacceptable! Also you talk about a bad rolling shutter problem. Does the a6500 fix any problems? Like overheating and less crop? 

Also the XT20 seems tempting but I would lose 120p  I read it doesn't crop like the XT2 does but probably will have a lower quality? 

Also I thought a used NX1 would cost less instead on eBay it's around €800-900

a6300 is a no go if you are a NX1 user. Everything (except ISO as you mentioned) will be much worst. Maybe you can try Fuji, or GH5. Panasonic seems like the best bet right now, especially with the 12-60mm kit.

How much is the refund, and where did you send it? Did you have the warranty and receipt?

GH5 could be an option but If there's no advantage in low light there's no reason for me to add money for the switch and "downgrade" to m4/3.

Fujitsu is interesting, what model and kind of money are we talking about? Weak points?

The refund is €1350 (body only) and it's in Milan right now.

Well the options are two:

- get the refund and buy a used one, like getting a half refund for the trouble

- get the refund and switch model, but to what? The only one that comes close (in terms of price of course) is the sony a6300 but i will lose the ergonmics, problem with overheating (still happening?) and weird colours. In return I get an exceptional low light performance which I hated about the nx1... I wouod finally be able to shoot above 1600 and beyond without worrying about getting a point and shoot look  And also of course a system still alive!

Well guys no good news, kinda.

The service center just called me and said they can't repair the sensor cause they don't know if they'll ever get the part or a new NX1 to give me as a replacement. So they offered me a full refund. Problem is if I accept it I'm out of options since I can't get a new one (not being sold anymore) and I can't find a valid substitute for the same money. Basically either i keep the defective product or I lose it. What would you do?
