meant your link is for the A7ii.
It should be the same regardless, only 5 Axis with Sony lens, well that my experience with A7SII A7RII, less stable using adapted Canon lens than Sony native

That's for the a7ii. The a6500 has 5-Axis IBIS.
A7II is 5 Axis IBIS

No X/Y Compensation with 3rd party and selective A mount lens, leaving only 3 axis
-
Sony only uses 3 Axis IS when using non natives, vs full 5 axis when using non native on M43 body.
You can do walks with just handheld, ninja walk, trained arm and warp stabilizer works wonders, not as good as gimbal (especially for long distance) but close enough

The fact is, noone knows for sure! I wouldn't bet on Pana sensor though..It seems like Sony is the exclusive m4/3 sensor maker, for a few years now. I am expecting for someone with the answer, it will explain a lot, and show the capability of these companies diferentiate from Sony, and compete against it
A a7000 in September with better ergonomics, battery life, AF system, 10bit internal, better IBIS, 180fps slow mo, no overheating (with the bigger body for better ergonomics, and bigger battery for more minutes of use, they can manage heat better), and around 2299$, can destroy any m4/3 camera of the near future, and Sony must be building such a camera right now, and since a6300, for sure.
Pretty sure it will be called FS5 II and cost $5000+

My friend is selling his XC10 right now and try to get A7SII instead, he used to have A7S but sold that to get XC10 because of the "image quality" touted by online forum and easier match to his C100, turns out quality is crap to his C100, he really dont want to deal with Sony colour I guess he have no choice lol

Hoodlum - do those scores make the Olympus preferable to the Lumix for video?
Since they use same sensor tech, we can expect GH5 to be similar score, like GX8 got 75 and Pen-F got 74, they both use same sensor, I guess this 20MP is indeed different than the previous one

Horses for courses
For the stuff I do gh5 is more suited, live events (like conference) that goes for hours, music video with proper lighting (use 3x arri 650 usually), I don't really need low light much except for occasional astro photography
My FS5's lowlight is not as good as my A7S/A7RII but it is my mostly used camera, ergonomic on that is much nicer.
I will get 2x anamorphic adapter when I got my gh5, should be interesting to play with.

is 180fps unlimited time like gh4?

Whats wrong with A6500 for stills if you considering D5500, pretty sure their DR is similar?

Thank you very much @Neumann Films Luke for letting us download the files
Since I shoot a lot handheld with old lenses I'm very interested about the stabilization: I saw M. Uematsu's interview and he said (at 05:18") that 5 axis stabilization only works with Panasonic lenses.
Is that true or does it works also with manual lenses? I mean there is at least 3 axis stabilization with third part lenses?
Yes it will have 5 axis even with old glass (unlike Sony u only get 3 axis with manual lens), just if u use compatible Panasonic lens it will get Dual IS 2 which is even more stable

Panasonic haven't use MPJEG since GH3, I think they probably use AVC-Ultra for high bit rate?

Come on cantsin that's a bit harsh don't you think?
Once I spent few minutes in the picture profile settings I got far superior color and tonalities than I could ever get with my Olympus or Nikon cameras. You can use Andrews settings to get a Canon color or adjust them to match a Fuji base and then you can use my Fuji LUTs that I posted here to get any Fuji profile you want in post!
And the reality is that it is very very very hard to find another company that offers this amount of customization for video. Especially with an 8bit codec this is a huge advantage as you also correctly mention in you last sentence.
Let's keep the conversation on the positive side...
Well I still like Oly color more even with EOSHD Pro Color on my A6300, and pro color only works on video but not still.

You can set it but it doesn't effect the image. Point it at something very red and you will see.
Yes you are right, I can set it but doesnt change anything, must be a bug for Sony's part or they purposely cripple it

E-m10 have rolling of 10ms, beating even the FS7
-
Hmm didn't have plug for Sony mirrorless cameras, that one big fail
-
Only 20m with wifi is really short distance, interesting though it uses 28mm f2 same as on mavic
-
Mavic is definitely one for me, I need a compact drone for traveling around, p3 still have to use its own bag.
For quality I got X5 on air and X5 on osmo, dont really need gimbal on gopro, hate fisheye and indoor/lowlight performance is really bad. (I had goPro4 before) X5 osmo is much better, you also get nice moving bokeh shots on osmo with 25mm 1.7 and 42.5mm 1.7 lens.

60P RAW can shoot more than 1seconds! Cheap 5k60P RAW camera for short burst shot
AF similar to Sony 4D system, so Oly does gained something beside giving ibis to sony
-
Wonder can DJI Focus Handwheel work on Inspire 1 remote
-
Well E-M1 MKII uses 8 core CPU this time (dual quadcore with 1 delicated core for AF)
hopefully it is as good as it sounds
Panasonic G85 review - is there any need to get an Olympus E-M1 Mark II for video?

True, but then again IS on the A7 seems weak to me, not sure about A6500 Olympus is definitely the most stable now that I got e-m5 ii to play with.
