  1. Canon releases a new camera line called MEH. Canon's chief architech Mishiku Opportuntzie speaks about the product development of their MEH line of cameras. "Canon is strong on two paths the first is Imposible and the second is MEH. We listen to our customers needs and offer to them the choises of MEH1 and MEH2.

  2. Hi all, A footage with the GH4 in 4K anamorphic, using the baby Iscomorphot 8/1.5x. In only one shot, I used a Tokina +0.4 achromat diopter. All shots at f/2.8! Lens was the Nikon 50mm f/1.8 Series E, along with the Metabones Speed Booster. Both this lovely anamorphic & the Tokina are for sale. PM for details. Enjoy!

  3. Ok so since last time I've shot another wedding it was difficult with the lack of light in the evening but I've tried to take into account all your feedback and advice (which I'm very grateful for). So here it is: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=l6Ah94LOlOY Thoughts?

  4. Well, the obvious answer for you then is to get the Sony A5100. Though personally for a newbie I'd recommend they get the Panasonic G6 as their first camera (if they have the budget for it, otherwise a Panasonic GH1 or Sony NEX-5N is the way to go). I wouldn't worry about the sensor size of APS-C vs m4/3, you often have to stop down anyway to get enough usable DoF, so that cancels out any benefit there of having APS-C. Plus, once you use a cheap RJ Lens Turbo (it is great, I use one!) on your m4/3 camera, you've got Super 35mm / APS-C FoV now.

  5. Im still using G6 and GX7 too (although we did just drop one of our G6's in a river!! I can tell you they are not water proof haha!) I use Natural colour profile in the day time with contrast at -3 and saturation at -3 , then at night I use a custom saved version of Natural with contrast at -5 and saturation at -5 at night I shoot 2500k outside and day interiors 4000k for a warmer skin tone look under tungsten lights. (David Fincher does this - House of Cards, Zodiac, Dragon Tattoo all 4000k interiors)

    How to edit H265?

Just looked at the info and they are h264. A quick google search shows they only use h265 for facetime streaming.

  7. Tokina 11-16 2.8 is the obvious and probably most favoured option. I've seen a lot of nice stuff shot with the 11-16/BMPCC combo.

  9. Does it not seem ironic that this website is made to promote professional works done by users, and to discriminate against amateur contents and mass media advertisements, all the while trying to profit from an existing video hosting platform via ads and subscriptions? It all seem very gimmicky to me, at least the part where you guys are claiming "upload", yet are just embeddings of Vimeo players that are linked from Vimeo itself. This is a played out idea done by sites like Reddit and Imgur in my opinion, the question is do we need more of these, and how badly?

  11. Anamorphic Zoom, CinemaScope Flares, Follow Focus, Pull Focus, Oval Bokeh. Basically everything you need to know about Rectilux 3FF in one clip. The world of Anamorphic shooting defined in one clip. Ungraded NEX 5N (-3,1,-3) No focus assistant used or required. The vintage look digitally remastered and only 500g in weight.
