[vimeo]http://vimeo.com/124684805[/vimeo] Here’s the first footage, from Hot Rod Cameras (follow on Facebook here) shot with a beta-firmware GH4 in V-LOG. The update is coming out later, but first we have V2.2 to look forward to almost immediately. This brings anamorphic support in 24p and more.

Taking the same form as the previously leaked Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera, the Micro Studio Camera features a Micro Four Thirds 13.056mm x 7.344mm size sensor and lens mount.
With 4K internal recording, Micro Four Thirds sized sensor and V-LOG but a fixed 13x zoom lens, Panasonic have taken a dated concept and brought it up to date. But will the modern video professional let alone filmmakers be able to tolerate that fixed zoom lens rather than the interchangeable lens mount we all hoped would be on this camera?
I just received a tidbit of info from a reader. Apparently Blackmagic have a third camera we’ve not seen yet on any of the posters at NAB. The show opens shortly.
[vimeo]http://vimeo.com/124732922[/vimeo] Red have announced their latest sensor. It’s a full frame (Vista Vision) 40mm x 20mm CMOS capable of 8K (8192 x 4320). At that resolution the maximum frame rate is still an impressive 75FPS. This is the current state of the art.
Here is the Blackmagic URSA Mini pictured at NAB. Not much larger than a Sony FS7, it doesn’t need much in the way of extra work-arounds or rigging to get fired up. I especially love the Alexa-like viewfinder.
