Panasonic are in talks with Epson to provide cutting edge new display technology for the EVF in the GH3. The news comes from a recent interview with Panasonic’s Ichiro Kitao at the launch of the GF3. It was a change of tone from last year when Panasonic spoke of the GH2 as a niche camera. If you are thinking of buying an Atomos Ninja for your GH2, it is probably best to wait for the hack. The Lumix 14mm F2.5 is the smallest interchangeable digital camera lens ever made. Smaller than even the Lumix 20mm F1.7 and much lighter, it is even rather well built for a mere ‘kit lens’. Like the excellent 20mm which came with the GF1, the 14mm is bundled with the GF2 and that represents fantastic value, since the lens retails for over ÂŁ250 on it’s own.
[vimeo]20219795[/vimeo] Diopters are somewhat of a miracle with anamorphic lenses. My Tokina +0.4 helped cut the minimum focus distance of my Isco down to less than 4ft from 2 meters and helped sharpen it up at fast apertures like F1.4.
