This video very clearly shows how impressive the new Kipon EF adapter is for Micro Four Thirds. It is shown working with the Canon 70-200mm F2.8L on the Panasonic GX7. I might even expect performance to be more impressive on the GH4 thanks to its faster AF engine.

Best small camera for 1080/60p – Panasonic GX7 and A6000 review

The Panasonic GX7 is available at B&H for $897.99 and the Sony A6000 is $648 at B&H here

If you want a nice 1080p camera that is packed with features and doesn’t cost very much then there’s now two really good options available from Sony and Panasonic.

The A6000 is certainly Sony’s best performing mirrorless camera yet for video with an APS-C sized sensor vs the Micro Four Thirds sensor in the GX7.

I’ve been shooting with both to decide which one is most fun to use for video.

In depth coverage – Panasonic announce 4K video capable Micro Four Thirds sensor

The recent rumours surfacing of Panasonic releasing an AG-GH4 around the $3000 mark have been given a boost. Panasonic have now officially announced the existence of a 16MP Micro Four Thirds sensor which is capable of 4K video at up to 30fps, matching the rumoured specs of the GH4.

Tantalisingly this sensor is even available as a customer part on the open market, making it available to Blackmagic Design.

Panasonic GX7 to feature video ‘to GH3 standard’ yet has in-body stabilisation!

The Panasonic GX7 is looking genuinely exciting for filmmakers. It sits at the top of Panasonic’s range and uses a different form factor to the DSLR-like GH3, in that it is in the mould of the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema camera, original Panasonic GF1 and Sony NEX range.

The GX7 is rumoured to have some major features not seen in the GH3, such as an in-body stabilisation system and peaking. The sensor is said to be all-new as well and outperforms all the current mFT sensors for raw image quality according to 43rumors.com
