Nikon Z mount cameras have some quirks too. For example they lack the third wheel that most mirrorless camera have. You need to push and hold a button and keep it pushed while changing ISO. Assuming that for video we lock the shutter at 2x frame rate, 2 wheels will do the job. Nikon however don't give the option to assign ISO on some of the wheels. You can only switch them - one for shutter and one for aperture and vice versa.

You can set the ISO to len’s control ring. Some say it’s pretty easy to knock the ring accidentally, but I have not run into that problem. With new 24-70 and 70-200 F2.8 ii it’s even better with clicking control wheel.

You can also set the Z6iii ISO button so that you push the button first, change ISO via wheel, and then push the button or shutter again to stop changing ISO, no need to keep the ISO button pushed while changing the ISO.

The Parallax monitor is great, but only up to 10 to 15 meters wirelessly. After that it can drop the connection and if that happens it stops the recording too. Not that big of a problem with Plena and 70-200 any more as R3D NE trim works finally. The ZR and Z6iii have not stopped recording even once, when started manually, even during 10 to 20 min periods in direct sun.
