i am strongly considering returning my xt3. the thing is that it is a great camera there are no doubts but to me it lacks one major thing which is stabilization ok it doesn't have internal stabilization, that's fine. but if you look at the lenses offer, there is no choice, only a few stabilized lenses and most of them are zoom and nothing bellow f2.8 fuji lacks a larger offer for lenses i wish i had been able to keep my canon lenses, i have full set of them and don't want to sell them as i would lost to much money and still what to replace them with ? i was hoping to use an adapter but 2 problems: - no real reviews of adapters with xt3 for video, the best seem to be the fringer but it doesn't seem to be that great - no speedbooster at this time, so i would have to buy new lense anyway as my 24 would be a 38 and i won't have any large lens even if i go for the fringer. all others brands have larger lenses offer and that is a pitty that fuji does not push to get stabilized lenses. i shoot a lot of handheld and don't want to use a gimball all the time, and even then it wouldn't solve my issue with my canon lenses + adapter don't either want to use post stab as it crops too much maybe it is better for me to wait a few monthes to see what panasonic will release and get a bmpcc4k that i can use with larger offer of stabilized lenses and that does have speedbooster

great work needs maybe a little work on ui but the essential is there
-
yup i think there would be a market for it now that the bmpcc4k is so cheap in terms of pricing
-
yes it is to plug a 3.5mm jack mic into the bmpcc4k, weird that there isn't a 3.5mm to mini xlr adapter yet. i can do what you suggest but it is a lot of cable / adapters
-
no, more like this but to mini xlr instead of regular https://www.amazon.co.uk/Keepdrum-ADP08-Adapter-Adaptor-Converter-Microphones/dp/B01BMAD1UM/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1544175856&sr=1-1-fkmr0&keywords=Rode+VXLR+Adaptateur+Jack+3%2C5

are there any 3.5mm female jack to mini xlr adater ? looking for it on amazon but don't find any.
-
it is for the bmpcc4k of course it does includes the right cable, that's the whole point https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/DC-12-v-NP-F-Batterie-Alimentation-Syst-me-Mount-Adapter-Support-de-Plaque-pour-CCMB/32955311989.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.40696c37zzPHK9

to me grading is the most important thing to get the cinematic look (of course filming is important too), would be interresting to see the same footage graded by the one who shot it and by a pro just to see how it can be improved looks like he shot handheld with stab from the lense
-
lens is important too, but most of the people now shoot too sharp or add too much sharpness in post, social networks illness. for my part i am still looking for a good canon / fuji adapter as i don't have any fuji lenses and have all set of good canon lenses and don't feel like selling them

what about this chanel ? https://www.youtube.com/user/theavenogfilm/videos
-
actually in this article he compares different focal length of course depht of field isn't the same if your distance to subject isn't the same, but if you move closer to the subject to have same crop (background will look larger though) then depth of field is the same
-
compare same length glasses 70mm is 70mm no matter the sensor size. the field of view changes but the length are the same for two 70mm for example. this is gonna help you
-
depth of field is the same at the same length just the framing isn't the same due to crop factor, if you frame exactly the same then depth of field is gonna be the same
-
the most versatile is the fuji xt3, that's why i bought one. it's good in all compartments
-
ok good to know

f4 is the same no matter the sensor size

looks like a toy. we'll see how it last in time after a few monthes probably vloggers new best friend
-
didn't know stabilized lenses were crap ? when it's well done they are as good as non stabilized ones and yet you still have the choice to turn it off
-
i am not comparing i am just saying it lacks stab, that is my opinion of course you don't need it when using tripod, using slider, hmm it depends on the build quality, dolly same story, there are many that shake the camera and why comparing with red or expensive products ? comparing a 1500$ camera with some 15k$ others is a nonsense as the equipment are not the same and the way you work with it and the team around are not the same. for gimballs many prefer to use them with stabilized lenses or body in order to avoid jittering. this camera is the kind you want to use handheld sometimes, expecialy with the great af, having a stabilized lense would be such a great thing
