Thanks. Will not be a problem for the canon fd 50mm 1.4 if i convert it to ef but will be a problem for the tokina 17mm fd that i am supposed to buy tomorrow. On fuji with 1.5 crop itis fine i just get a fd fuji x adapter but for m43 with x2 crop that's not good

Looking into the 50 1.4 yes, and edmika does an adapter to ef for 75 $ I don't want all fd set i just pick here and there the best lenses whatever the brand is

5dmkii... How can i say... Yes you can shoot raw but memory is shit so you can only record few seconds before having frame droping and then comes the workflow which is a bit anoying. 85mm 1.4 is still in the box ; ) just got it, sold my 50 and 85 1.2 because heavy, sloooowwwww af and no stab. I do many things, most of it is still life in photography, used to do fashion but going to video and getting geared up. Just bought the xt3 which i like so far but still new with it coming from canon 5dmkii. Wanted stab lenses because i love to shoot handheld but got a moza air 2 too. Want also vintage lenses because i love the look of them and don't always shoot handheld. In video will try to do many things as vintage cars, itw, reportage and more 422 because coming from photo grading is very important for me. I don't shoot jpeg, always raw That is why i want to keep ef mount. Stupid question would it work going fd to nikon and stacking nikon to ef ?

i do not own any fuji lenses at the moment just because they mostly only fit fuji. so i prefer canon which has adapters for virtually any brand. so far i have canon 28mm 2.8 stab, tamron 28-70mm g2 2.8 stab, canon 85mm 1.4 stab and canon 110 2.8 stab also just bought a nice helios 44M4 and was planing buying a tokina 17mm 3.5 but this tokina is canon fd. maybe the answer is to get fd to fuji x adapter and fd to m43 adapter but i will lose the advantage of the speedbooster and i want a good wide lens as i like to shoot wide angles. for the bmpcc4k, you might be right except that i will have the resolve license with it and 422 internal with large screen. raw, yeah why not, didn't tried it so far. fuji will probably not get raw in their cameras at least not the xt3. and i need a second camera to shoot. what brands give the best results with adapters to canon ef ? yes you have the lens turbo for ef lenses, the metabones is really expensive and is for fd lenses, so if i want to use all my lenses i would have to get both, that is stupid and expensive in a way. adapting to ef would allow me to use only one reducer. problem is this crap thing about fd to ef seems like i have a problem

except that there are no good focal reducer for fuji

there is one question i am thinking of: all these vintage lenses have old mounts, so they need adapters. i have a set of canon ef lenses so i have an ef to fuji x adapter. but i am also planning to get the bmpcc4k and already have a canon to m43 speedbooster. i could either buy a m42 to fuji x adapter and then a m42 to m43 adapter. if i want to avoid having multiple adapters would it work to have let's say adapters to canon and then put the adapter in the speedbooster ?
  10. i will a rig, also lens support as i am using adapter and also follow focus thing is i don't know if i should buy a plate from smallrig and use rods or use the rig's plate as i am also gonna use it on tripod and sometimes just handheld with the cage and follow focus. i've look at smallrig plates and there are many, don't know which one is best for me. as rig i would use something like that https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B00GTMBA7K/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_4?smid=A2X3YD2A96Y0NB&psc=1 but i find the base pretty big for just handheld use also i a m not sure the lens support from smallrig is compatible with it of course if there is another option like a good plate from other brand why not as long as i can use a lens support on rods
  11. tell me guys, what accesories do you have for the fuji ? i bought the cage from smallrig and i consider getting a few more things but wonder which one would be the best to have

thinking of the samyang 14mm 2.8 for canon or the irix 15mm 2.4 , as i have both adapter for canon to fuji and m43. it comes about 290€ here just wondered if there was a good vintage lens in wide angle
  13. thephoenix

yep but issue is that there is no adapter for fuji x to m43

thanks i am looking for a wide angle lens that i could use with my fuji xt3 and a bmpcc4k, the goal is to have a lens that would be around 24mm crop factor included. are there any choices in these length ? found a mir 12mm but it was made for 16mm and it does not cover m43, also the mount is hardly adaptable.
  15. yes i do have a copy of my files at my parents place in case of fire but i wish i updated it more often. many people forget about that risk.
  16. Is it prores ? My bad... You select prores on the ninja ? Internal i think the cpu will get too hot. I'd love to see that anyway.
  17. Do you think fuji will enter the dance and provide prores and or prores raw with ninja v like nikon did ?

hi all i can get some Pentacon Prakticar lenses, are they any good ? also can get a mir 1b 37mm 2.8 is it worth it too ?
  19. what brand and size of harddrive do you guys use for storage ? i am setting up a new pc and don't know what hd to buy for storage. just ordered a wd black 2to as it was on sale on amazon but i know it will not be enough. i have a nas for storage. for work i have a m2 1to 970 ssd
  20. problem if you get a "big" bag that goes in cabin is the weight. sometimes you have to cross fingers for your bag not to be weighted i have lowepro bag and the last one i bought was an amazon bag, i was surprised by the quality of it, for the price it was a very good deal, i still use it
  21. i90% supprot sony and or panasonic fuji and blackmagic... neh i was asking because some of them work with an usb cable plugged into the camera and control the focus threw the camera itself, like sony and pana if t is external then all lenses are supported of course but i don't think you can use the gimball wheel to focus with external systems
  22. first it depends on what camera you have, the follow focus on gimball doesn't work with all brands
  23. thanks the thing i find odd is that i have selected natural liveview but when pressing the recording button the image goes flog, i mean flat and unsaturated as flog is. would be nice to shoot flog but to be able to see the lut on screen and evf but maybe i did something wrong setting up the fuji i have over 20 years of photography and going to video makes me feels like i am starting it all over, which is pretty exciting. i love to learn new things and in video there are tons to be learned
  24. not at all, sorry if you fell that way as i said i am fairly new to video and new to the forum so maybe i may ask what you find "stupid" questions
