it wouldn't be the strangest thing i have seen out there ?
  3. perhaps the dalek was taking him for a walk did you consider that ? either way bonus points for sure, for spotting him out and about. i'm not sure how one can top that. this video is probably going to go viral lol

no idea myself thanks for the link webrunner hadn't seen that site before. i fully doubt that i could tell which was which in a blind test i think the tokina certainly holds its own. after reading webrunners link it seems like the bayonet mount is the best option for an angie copy. i dont have the first version or the last version that much is certain. Regardless the horse has bolted for me lol. Still i am confident and looking forward to receiving my copy.
  5. i am learning to like it. i like the layout or ergonomics. Not sure how it would work in a different format. i occasionally hit the wrong button on top when going for iso or shutter but a bit more time on it and it will be second nature. The screen is a good size and apart from not swiveling and some issues in the sun i like it. I would have paid another $100 for a swivel screen, maybe they'll do a mark two ? and the os is very easy to use, i cant compare it to any other video camera as this is my first video camera but honestly i cant see how they could make it any simpler.
  6. i have a 35 nap-3 pulled apart at the moment. It being the cheapest i could find and i wanted to see how they worked plus i have a project in mind for it i think there are four types of nap 35. 1 being the rarest 2 being smaller and more popular than the 3 3 is quite big no 4 i cant remember much about i also have an isco gottingen which takes both hands to turn the front ring, one day i'll get around to looking at it i looked at buying from the anamorphic store however the prices weren't affordable for me.
  7. no you cant i did a quick google. sorry to get you excited. when i saw you mention getting a usb-c cable i assumed it was like the bmp4k my bad
  8. kudos's heartless, for running the gauntlet ? i liked it, maybe i'm going to like everyone's video. Personally i thought it could have been a bit longer, maybe 2 clips should be allowed for short video's. I mean people, have spent good money presumably on cameras. It seems to me like a not a very good return on peoples investment for 42 seconds. Does anyone agree or is it just me ? as an aside i think its interesting how slower piece of music or slower beat perhaps seems to draw out the moment but that could be just me good job anyway
  9. not sure if the xt3 allows you to stop recording on dropped frames but if it does, you can try your cheap cards first. I have learnt i can use cheap toshiba 32gig cards in the bmp4k at uncompressed 1080 resolution with out dropping frames. that might be one avenue to explore while your testing.if your going with 4k right from the start you will need faster cards i think. if your looking at usb-c cable can you record to a samsung ssd ? they are by far the cheapest fast recording option at the highest resolutions for me in australia. I tend to buy middle of the road adapters, not too cheap, not too dear, but i still find a tiny bit of play in them regardless. so your mileage might vary. i would buy a cheap to cheapish adapter not more than $10-40 first, you can play with it and learn your lenses first then you will find what you do like and what you don't like and proceed from there. not sure what the crop factor is on the xt3. However with the p4k its 2x crop so except for the 24 mm everything i have becomes a short telephoto and longer. like webrunner says its great, saves me walking up to the back paddock to see if the sheep have indeed lambed. I should know, had seven baby lambs born in the last two weeks. So its easier to go longer, going wider cheaply is the real issue i think. has any said extra batteries or power options ? its easy enough to get around home with one battery for testing because you can charge it easily and do some thing else while you wait, however take it anywhere else and you might find yourself wanting an extra battery or powerbank perhaps fairly quickly.

i have heard that too, and as someone else said there's a lot of layers too this cake ? a real angie is quite expensive, for me anyway, from all my research i think i got a tokina copy. thanks mercer for not trying to burst my bubble too hard. sometimes you have to do what you can and roll the dice

going by this blokes website https://steemit.com/photography/@johncaz/tokina-at-x-pro-af-28-70mm-2-6-2-8 i think its series two. its certainly not the 3rd with the bayonet hood and its 77mm filter thread not 72mm filter thread like the first one, so i hope its the ANGENIEUX copy. i have been looking for the nikon or pentax version as they have the aperture ring on the lens as i understand, it other versions have the aperture controlled by the camera. thanks for the update btm.... its a bummer there is no smart adapter that narrows things down to a just speed booster then. Probably 2nd hand in the near future.

ok so i bought a tokina 28-70 2.8 I believe its series 1. all my searching leads me to think its series 1 anyway. At this point i'm going to buy a cheap nikon to m43 adapter but later i might get an adapter with contacts if that allows auto focus or tap to focus on the bmp4k. Has anyone any experience on that ? the other path i might take is to get a speed booster if i went with a speed booster i should get a cheap nikon to ef adapter to speedbooster or is there a nikon to m43 speed booster ?. As you can tell i'm unsure how of the whole speed booster process works. some enlightenment would be appreciated
  13. you still can !! just buy it through mattias affiliate links ?
  14. first one is a link to dvinfo with the same question posed the second didnt load and had a suspect title did you report it to andrew ? he seems to be a bit more onboard lately.

    Music videos...

i think i can hear dueling banjo's playing in the background, i'd becareful of exciting the americans president trump will tweet you ass off ? i do wonder if the $200 video competition is R rated i could use some footage of some dude being done in with a pitchfork.Thats a creative avenue nobody else will think of for sure and it helps get rid of some of the competition . webrunner would you mind putting your bib and braces on momentarily ? ?

nope i can see it, must just block you americans, ?
  17. i have the letus gopro anamorphic 1.33. I think their more subtle than your traditional 2 x anamorphic. maybe because as i understand it they are only compressing horizontally unlike your normal 2 x anamorphic. the other thought i have about them is that their modern lens with modern coatings which i presume makes them more neutral. But that's just my two cents worth.

    Music videos...

one music video that i thought was creative visually and an interesting song musically in itself is another song i like is i kinda like the juxtaposition of a woman onscreen and a man voice singing. plus the acting fits the song i think. the brunette is kinda cute which sells it for me lol But the eighties definitely had some cool things happening musically another dude i think is pretty interesting musically is this bloke, i dont want to take anything away from tommy or phil emmanual or Mark Knopfler but i think you have to be pretty switched on to play like this.

    bmp4k adventures

waiting for my car to get fixed. Engine decided to play up. So tomorrow i plan shooting some more in the back yard. it is interesting to note that stuff i shot on the same day as i installed the codec displays fine, older stuff not so. rather peculiar if you ask me.
