I've become a die hard Sony user, I think it's mixture of pride and mutual hype (search sony alpha on Instagram and you'll see people post photos of the cameras a lot more than any other brand) I transitioned from Canon with shitty 1080p. and the 1st time I viewed my A6300s 4K I was sold, The clinical sharpness of the image, the considerably higher dynamic range. After that I just wanted to tell everyone how amazing my new camera is. The image quality was so good it made me wanna go and shoot more, even if it was just random stuff in the backyard. I think it's because I wanted my friends to have that same excitement I originally had when 1st switched and still do. This has probably created that elitist nature sony shooters are known for. Especially those that have recently joined the dark side.

Try to use GDA (gamma display assist) or an external monitor with a LUT to see critical focus.

Also true, when I travel I don't even bring a Double AA battery charger anymore. I just plug my USB Powerbank into each one the night before a shoot.

better build quality (metal vs plastic), headphone jack built into the receiver for when i'm using a camera without a headphone jack, and significantly smaller body back. Only thing I liked about the Rode link was that there was no protruding aerial/antennae.

I have the Sony UWP D11 and it's been working wonders for me. Upgraded from the rodelinks after a few weeks lol. @IronFilm But I'm also a big believer in audio gear. I believe I spent more on audio gear than anything else this year. A video with bad audio is a bad video, no way around it.

Exactly this is why camera manufacturers should give us an option to choose between gain and ISO. ISO is totally useless and to an extent a pain in the ass when compared to the simplicity of DB Gain.

Well technically speaking they both max out at 14 stops of dynamic range. As long as you use slog 2 with the correct color gamut (S GAMUT or S GAMUT 3) you should get really nice colors sooc. I'm more of a Cine 2 and HLG 2 guy myself.

Video was giving me Red flags. Just seems kinda fishy with some of these video comparisons showing one camera blowing another completely out of the water and other videos with completely opposite results. ? A7III lowlight test used Super 35 instead of FF, then used SLOG 3 for the low light test IN Super 35 Then they used improperly exposed SLOG 3(once again in Super 35 crop mode) indoors and zoomed in on the shadows. Pretty sure in 2018 everyone and their grandma knows to avoid SLOG 3 on the 8 bit Sony bodies. Okay but to be fair I knew going into this video with Armando and Potato Jet presenting that it would be loaded/unbiased in favor of Canon.
