Hi, quick story short I've footage from Alpha A7S iii that was filmed in slowmotion S&Q mode in 120p (119.88) but the camera converted to 60p(59.97)fps

My timeline is 23.976 I've interpolated my footage from 59.97 to 23.976

Does this make it 180fps? (179.82) ?

No i doubt it 1DX mark 3 is mainly photography based camera with some killer video features but you got point its bigger and should handle heat better.

Source 1:

AF system is the almost the same as a7r4

The video record button is now on the top of the camera, places behind the shutter button.

4K RAW output yes, but not sure if it supports 4K 120fps RAW output. Did not try but it says it’s 16bit RAW output.

I did not have a chance to test out the RAW output because the firmware is not available, apparently Atomos is working on it to support a7sIII’s hdmi signal.

dynamic range is 15 tested by Sony, so i guess it’s ard 13-14 in real life.

Dials: Looking from the back panel of the camera, video dial for video mode selection left to EVF, photo dial for photo mode selection right to EVF. Exposure dial unchanged.

Screen: Touch function available when navigating the menu.

Ports: Removable port door. Two usb-c, one micro hdmi, no flash sync port.

Here is something unfortunate, there will be a crop on the 4K. A small one, similar to a7s2.

Also, ONLY Up to 4k60 will be 10bit 4:2:2 internal.

They are claiming to not have overheating issues for at least 1hr even at the highest framerate.

I can confirm 4k60 10 bit unlimited recording time.

I can confirm at least 180fps 1080p with full AF and sound.

Downsampled 1080p from 4K, making this the best 1080p hybrid ever made! No line skipping or pixel binning.

No internal RAW.

New codec similar to FX9.

No 6K.

If Panasonic release a GH6 with 4k120 no crop 4:4:4 12 bit ProRes RAW, clean ISO 12800, Ibis with 15 stops, S35 sensor and $2000 price, someone will shout "but it is not full frame, it's crap" or "I need 4k240 ALL-I, it's crap".

Best (at least in my point of view) is to wait for the real world reviews, with real people using it for real jobs, which know what they are doing. Now it is only paper specs talk and sponsored reviews.

I love the enthusiasm and yes id love the spec but the price point would be more like 4grand or more in this day ,can"t wait for Sony show their secret weapon 4k120raw output via Atomos would be killer combo

Yup 5k 12bit Raw is dream cometrue . @Andrew Reid hows does grading 12bit files like? compared to Fp 8bit? much differents

You have to give credit to Canon for making such unique adapter , i wonder why others like Sony or Pana not releasing one? , i mean it would sell like hot pancakes all day long.

I was actually thinking the same! this fella sounds dodgy claiming hes pro colourist etc knows his stuff but yet hasn't got a thing to present

Hmm Panasonic did claim releasing Raw via Hdmi to S1H at start of the year what happened ?

Hey! this might be handy to anyone who wants to shoots manual focus in 1DX mark iii i just discovered if you have your lens set on autofocus you will not get focus peaking in 5.5k 60p RAW. Switch it to manual focus and peaking appears which is weird. 

No GH6?

Id turn off internet leave your room and just go film 😂

Any test footage we can play around? if was posted early i missed it 😞
