Someone suggest white plastic bags early in the thread.
Very modest hint 🙂 yes, you are right! I did eventually went to a big Supermarket and just started browsing in its manufactured goods department as someone suggested. And you anticapated my godsend, but I forgot to give you credit. Lets correct that.
I've also ordered gels you've mentioned above, gonna play with them as well.

Sony Semicon imposes strict licensing restrictions, one of these restrictions is that certain sensors can only be put in specific products (eg. mobile phone only).
Why the hell do they do that? Whats their game?
Do Samsung have similar restrictions on their sensors?

I think you'll likely kill nearly all of the output with the diffusers people have been suggesting...
The "shower cap" options are pretty nice and nearly indestructible. I used larger ones on the OG Light Panels for years. It is hard to find small versions, most come in larger sizes. I think this might be too small...
If you can't find what you want online, I would make a trip to your fabric store. You could likely get the exact density you want for under 5 dollars. A yard of diffusion and some Velcro would probably be exactly what you need.
Sadly those 3x3 inches shower cap diffusors will be too small for my light which is about 3x5 in size, otherwise a nice solution.

I tiny 1\2.3 inch 23mp sensor (Sony IMX667) will give us even worth DR than the previous GoPRO. Why oh why do they keep using those tiny puny sensors? Why not put an IMX700 (same as in Huawei P40, 1\1.28 inch) in there?
If new Osmo Action will use IMX700 or similar, they will crush GoPro.

Same here. I've left myself with only a 14-140 zoom which I find quite a nice little spying all-around lens. Everything else is speedboosted EF glass.

Almost a spacelight if you ask me 😛

The thing is, I can diffuse it in controlled environment like my studio no problem, but I need a somewhat portable on-the-go solution.

I have a set of some really nice compact LEDs - https://aliexpress.ru/item/33056891236.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.3aa6706ekfHeif&algo_pvid=d6fad609-3ec7-40e7-b5bb-4715f4f7cbae&algo_expid=d6fad609-3ec7-40e7-b5bb-4715f4f7cbae-0&btsid=0b0a182b15994990043292145ec629&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_
Any tips on how to make a relatively compact diffusor for them?

What wee need basicly is a GH6 with
- New better sensor (DR, lowlight)
- PDAF
- 10 bit 4k120 and 6k60
If this would happen it be enough for me to switch and not look at other FF cameras for next 3-4 years.
Than Panasonic could add build-in ND, big 5 inch screen, bigger S35 sensor, BRAW and etc, to make it a killer proposition.

Wow! The new AF in APC-S mode is actually beating Sony A73! 😬 Did not expect that! (watch Max)
It gives me hope, that Panasonic CAN actually do a working AF if they keep increasing processing power. Wow.
-
Panasonic wont figure AF without PDAF, we all know that. So no chance here. Still in the same boat.
-
I still think Panasonic needs to price this camera down close to 1500$ and not 2000$
Mainly due to not having a competitive AF. Than comes 4k60 in APC-S only. If the new Sony A7C has FF 4k60 and sells a bit over 2000, than it would be extremely hard for Pana to compete with that.
Another problem - absence of cheap 1.8 lenses. Sony has the best FF lens lineup currently.
If Canon fixes their overheating scam (or ML does it for them), then R6 is another strong competitor.

There is also one feature I've been dying to see - a big 4.5-5 inch flip out screen. And a fuckin bright one. The never released Sharp prototype of 8k camera nailed it.

About Super35/Aps-c sensor - I would vote for that or at least they could make 2 GH6 modifications with normal m43 and enhanced S35 sensor. I'd probably buy a whole set of Sigma primes for m43 (16, 30, 56) and they would all work as S35 glass. There is plenty of other 0.95 manual glass that was designed for APS-C, I want that too.
Also there is an army of GH5 fans who love Panasonic for their features and ergo and waiting for GH6 to be announced to make their decesisions.

Personally besides all that was said, I would love Panasonic to bring AF that would work with 3rd party lenses. Adopted glass with speedbooster gives around 1.3 crop on GH5 which is awesome. And I love my adopted glass. Sigma 18-35 is glued to my camera. New Tokina 11-20 2.8 looks awesome and cheap. I would keep on collecting Canon ef glass if I knew the AF will work someday.

I just received mine from Ali and it works very well. I do prefer it over wireless connection - much less hassle, no sudden loss of picture, faster setup, etc. Downsides - no specific monitoring tools outside the ones your camera has.
Please someone - make an app 😍

I am still very skeptical about the rumor of Sony denying Panasonic with a PDAF sensor. Why exclusevly Panasonic?
-
I dont have Moza gimbal, I have Zhyiun Weebill S and I love it and dont want to switch it for Moza. But for my needs I dont need to combine the two, so I am still aimed toward picking up Slipod E. If zhiyun will ever release their version of slypod, I might then switch.
Maybe JIP (Olympus) might not be so bad for video shooters.

Theh could still produce a lot of expensive high quality lenses for MFT if only they wanted. F1.7-2 zooms, 1.0 primes with AF, more wide angle stuff, etc.
