Well with prores raw or braw that no longer is the case, its tiny sizes right now. So maybe the next thing is that Canon/sony/panasonic will offer raw but not compressed raw. (which is useless for 90% of the time)
-
The ability to change white balance, extra stop of dr, no extra processing like sharpening etc is a major benefit. Also I have never seen anything better colorwise then canon 14bit raw (5diii ml). But you def dont need it for every project. As most client projects dont even care its 8bit and dont even care what camera it is shot on, most customers are happy someone was just there to shoot what needed to be shot. When is the Canon boot giving a speech /demo / news release?

I wonder how battletested these Zcam camera's are though. I will take some time before users start to trust their products(warranty/support/reliable) as they are still the new kids on the block, even kinefinity still struggles with that. Buy maybe they have great engineers who knows, time will tell. -
I was hoping on more then 20% light increase though for daylight situations. Yeah but hive is a lot more expensive no? Im in need for a an cheap 5-10k led light (or thungsten/HMI)

Dynamic range and image for one. -
This might be the cleanest camera I have ever seen. I would love to see a test with some vintage lenses(and maybe some diffusion) and some film grain thrown on it.
-
I think this camera is more set for event/corporate work then actual fiction work. Yeah def, but its kinda a hassle to change your lens set every time you buy a new body. I always end up buying a new lens set with a new body m43/S35/FF, which is kind of a hassle. As I like sharp lenses on a 5D III, but I dont like sharp lenses on a blackmagic camera.
-
Thats pretty late. I thought this Nab was already late for the a7s iii. I prob bought one or 2 different bodies by then. They better come swinging with big guns..

Yeah I agree with Kisaha and im not even a professional, but this is also one of the reasons holding me back to become a professional video/filmmaker. (only official sidejob for me, but I often see low priced budget projects coming along, and I just deny them as Geoff stated I do ask to be properly compensated when I'm working for others. . I do value my time and experience, and don't want to undercut others or myself. )

Would be cool to implement this on the dji ronin s. So you can hit record without fiddling.
-
Too sharp and detailed for my taste. The image is very clean though.

I hope it is not 100% the same as the animation feature film allthough it was great.

Yeah as a regular job 500$ a week is not bad at all. There is a big difference between this and working as a freelancer. I would not bother becoming a freelancer if you could not make 5-6K a month, its just not worth the hassle.

You are underselling the pocket 4K here though. It has a 5" monitor build in its body, they could address some of these features in a firmware update. Not sure if they will though. But nothign can touch the pocket 4K cost wise. -
So if you make 500$ a week. 50% is 250$ a week, which means 50$ per day. Nobody can live from that. (Rent, food, car, gas, kids, electricity, internet, heat, water,...)

Hoping on BRAW or something similar instead. I dont have the budgets to store 6K or 8K RAW files on my disks. -
? we dont know what the update is yet?
-
As a freelancer? Maybe taxes are different in the US then in the EU. We only keep around 1/3 of our gross income the rest goes to taxes.
-
Do you live in India? you cant live on 500$ gross per week in most of the rest of the world. I would not go freelance unless I am sure I at least make 350$ gross per day.

Wonder what mount the F6 will have. (Hoping for a FF speedbooster to medium format) Ah looks like they are all EF or PL mount, so no speedbooster I guess. -

Not sure sony would release something that will wipe their FS5/FS7 line of the table.
