This was made as a tribute to my beautiful wife, Kari, whom passed in August 2015 from Cystic Fibrosis - a chronic illness with no known cure. Every shot but the New York B-roll was with the a7S (with the Atomos Ninja Flame external monitor/recorder in 4K), and graded with FilmConvert. I hope you enjoy the video.

I'm very curious about your film festival. Do you accept music videos? I have a project very close to my heart. It's a music video that is a dedication to my wife Kari whom passed away from Cystic Fibrosis. It's in honor of her and for CF awareness. I'm trying to get it out to festivals and different places around the globe to get as much outreach and awareness for the disease. 
The artist of the song wrote my wife's and my favorite song and we became good friends over the years. We collaborated on this special project for her.

Just have to say after shooting in both UHD and DCI 4K... I really think DCI really shines. I have't measured the differences, and I'm only using the eye test, but I will now shoot exclusively in DCI over UHD. Gamma DR, DCI 4K and the 16-50mm S lens is a dream. Loving this camera, and can't wait to see what some of your custom settings look like. I will have to experiment some more after I finish up my latest project. You guys are awesome!

Looks awesome, man! What did you use to do that opening 10 second tracking shot through the trees? Handheld or on a dolly of some sort? GREAT SHOTS!

Just did a small video on some shots I had lying around, still testing rendering, but rendering in 4k def. makes it a lot better, still highly compressed though. Anyway hope you guys like it, not much love was put into grading on this one, unfortunately.
 

Pretty cool to see the camera used in some pretty tricky situations. I for one am pretty impressed with the results. We shall see what this looks like when more cameras get released into the wild.

Been to busy filming this past week, heres a few shots, this will probably be not the final grade, but its getting there.
 

I've been shooting UHD since it's the exact ratio of 1080, which I tend to deliver in. I still use FCP 7 for editing (I know, but I need a week or so to get 2nd nature with something else and the time never appears…) I transfer the H265 to UHD prores, and I also do a batch at 1080 prores. I synch both sizes and my audio on a 1080 timeline, do my rough edit with the 4k turned off, and then go to the 4k layer and reframe as needed - but I do a lot of one-man-band corporate stuff, and reframing interviews is really a great tool for me, particularly going to a much more tele look for key phrases or to hide cuts. I do basic CC with the three-way in FCP, and take clips to AE for any specialty work. Good system and very quick, and I'm cutting in real-time, no rendering. My decision is based on the aspect ratio, but I'm not losing much by going this way.
Any hard numbers or tests on rolling shutter though? I could see using DCI for scenes with a lot of motion or for keying/motion graphics projects.

I almost always shoot in DCI, less rolling shutter than UHD and I like that it lowers the sharpness a little. I work at a movie theater and video landscapes that go in to our preshow so I actually use that aspect ratio and resolution on a weekly basis.

I use DCI 4k, it's my go to resolution on the NX1.  

I'm interested to know about that too.  It's my first time with doing 4K, which mine's is only UHD and I downscale it for 1080p for processing.

I was wondering if anyone elects to shoot in 4K DCI over UHD. I know there has been some pretty conclusive stuff for UHD actually having more resolution than the DC1 4K mode of the camera. Also, UHD has 23.976 fps which for things not to be later transferred to film is the desired shooting method as opposed to DCI's 24p only option. My question is... does anyone actually shoot in DCI or is everyone shooting UHD and cropping to the desired ratio after the fact?

The codec is the single reason why the FS7 has much better performance. I rent it and on a few occasions I got 2 64gb cards in situations where data dumping was nigh on impossible. 
That said, I've had some great results with XAVC-L. Just not enough, unless Tetris style highlights is your thing!  
That's what I love about the E-mount.
Whipping out all sorts of glass and observing all those different looks. It's absolutely staggering how much the lenses affect the image quality and characteristics. It's the main reason I hated the RX10 II - the lens (expectedly sterile as hell). 
Helios 40-2 85mm f1.5 + A7SII is a favourite right now. Love it.
