  1. Looks like next Wednesday, http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=rx10ii&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma&Top+Nav-Search= Where I live it's sitting on shelves for a pickup since about a week, but sadly for much more money. To much for me atleast.
  2. And exposure is what matters. Would be pretty messed up if manufacturers stated the equivalent aperture. If I told an assistant "could you please stop that lens down to f22." it would be pretty dark
  3. If that's true why don't you correct the aperture for Full Frame? Why does the sunny 16 rule work both for my medium format as well as m4/3? Why does my light meter not ask me what sensor size I have? Because it's BS, that's why.
  4. Adobe camera raw turns blown, raw highlights blue. I haven't bothered with the new lumetri panel yet but do you have "highlight recovery" there? In after effects you can remove the blue with highlight recovery in 2003 panel and it never shows in 2012. But then you of course risk getting flicker instead.
  5. Can't you just use the cameras spot meter, point it at the subject, adjust until it shows +0.0 and then open two stops?
  6. Got a new wide angle today. Its meant for my K3 but works on everything from a BMPCC to a 5D. I have only tested it on s16 so far and then its not really a "fish eye". Will test on bigger sensors tomorrow.
  7. If I was getting one of them for Slowmotion it would be the rx100iv. That 2 second high quality thing looks cool and you get a point and shoot as well. But I would get tired of the slowmo within a day
  8. Nothing whent wrong it's just what it is. But also that building is quite special. Even the NX1 moires on it.
  9. I contemplated which to go for if buying the XC10 or RX10ii but no matter how I viewed it the RX10ii was to expensive. I just couldn't see myself not paying a fourth extra and get three times the bitrate, good ergonomics, loupe and C-Log with from what I've seen superior color/look. This is of course based on what I've seen and could all change now when both are regularly available and more footage will surface. I of course also go by earlier cameras. I mean it's pretty possible that the rx10ii will look kinda like other S-log cameras but with the smaller sensor. The whole thing reminds me so much of the C100s reception.
  10. One person says, "Look at this result" The other says. "Can't be, because of specs"
  11. Not if you get it with a Nikon mount.
  12. I'm gonna bet $10 it doesn't matter But it was avchd I tested and then it was even worse than the nex-5.
  13. Lots if moire in the a6000, but nice form factor and evf.
  14. Problem with the X70 imo is its lowlight. Even has trouble keeping up with the tiny sensor in the xa20.
  15. Rolling shutter sure is a b.... Both the rx10ii and rx100iv are in stock just a couple of blocks away. Since I've had and enjoyed both the rx100 mk1 and mk2 I was a little tempted. Specially after grading the file Philip Bloom posted. Until I hit play that is. That train scared me straight. Still a lovely camera and I still might get it. But I rather wait 6 months and buy it used at 50%.
  16. Guess you're not an editor then... BTW, last time I asked you to back up your post about all the purple fringing with links you ignored. So I will assume it's most likely BS.
  17. Not all others but I agree about the once you list.
  18. Did some testing with the D16 and threw the BMPCC and a Panasonic camcorder into the mix. (I realize that the lens I chose vignettes like crazy, its meant for 16mm in 4:3. Would be better if I had used HD. I still like it though.)
  19. Yeah I see nothing but great potential in that thing.
  20. I'm sorry but all the negativity against this camera is starting to become laughable.
  21. How do you know what the final edit looks like, can you share it?
