  1. CC has had that since 2014 and I use it from time to time. But even if they improve on it there is still to much missing in the tool box. After Effects or Resolve is still the way to go imo. And I'm kinda done waiting for Premiere to learn how to grade. Specially now when Resolve has learned how to edit. If everything works in R12 like announced I will finish up my current project and then switch completely. This is why I love CC, you can bail out and comeback whenever without loosing money. Subscription ftw :)
  2. Im a total vintage lens hoarder and therefore see the appeal of Sony in front of Canikon. I've had the A7 and really enjoyed it with cheap glass. But honestly, in that respect Panasonic kills the A7x. Anybody want to prove me wrong, show me the FF equivalent of thousands of nice small, compact, well built ,fast, and cheap primes streching all the way from 8mm Kowa to Fujinon 5mp 25mm. For me even m4/3 is to big. S16 is where it's at :)
  3. They probably do if you convince them that posting to the US is just as easy as posting to someone in Sweden. I see it often both on Swedishforums as well as Americans ("us only") But when people finally take the step, march down to the post office they quicklyrealize that they have been limiting their market all these years. Lenses is the best example, I've sold lenses for +$50 on eBay that I've paid $5 for in Sweden. And one of my favorites is buying batch of old Sega games for $200 just to get $1000 on eBay. My current gear of a Blackmagic Pocket, Digital Bolex, Alphatron EVF and all the lenses all come from classifieds and ebay. Even if the D16 was to break down today I still could buy a new for the money I've saved. Sometimes I play with the thought of starting a full time business of buying and selling old stuff So to sum up, don't buy new, stick to used and always lowball like there is no tomorrow. Sorry for the Off Topic.
  4. Now there are two, the other is listed as $1150 or something like that. Probably go for less. Not much demand around these parts.
  5. Like I said, used. There is one on a Swedish forum right now with pelicase, extra batteries, wide angle adapter in good condition for $1300 but he will of course let it go for $1100 or less. Should be much cheaper in other countries. It was just a suggestion for saving money, if its the 205 you want, go for it
  6. The XF100 has 50mbit, 422, Dual Card Slots, XLRs and cost a third of that used. ´Not as many buttons but more money left.
  7. It is, which is a very good thing imo. I shot this quickly in Prores and didn't balance the contrast properly. Im shooting with them on the Bolex over the weekend and will have a better sample afterwards.
  8. Found a couple of really cheap Bolex H16 cameras with lenses in the turrents. Bought one to use the lenses with the Digital Bolex and BMPCC but will also shoot some 16mm film with it. Did a quick test when I got it home today.
  9. You do realize that I know that there is no way you could ever know that, right? BTW. Have you seen the thread here on this forum posted today where one of our fellow members is looking for a small sensor camcorder so he can get deep depth of field. Maybe you should go there and talk him into a a7S
  10. Nor can you achieve the DOF, Extreme Tele of MFT on a FF format. Different tools with ups and downs to both. I mostly use large sensors for stills and then its Full Frame that has a weird crop factor, difficulty to achieve wide angle and need super fast glass to get any sort of SDOF. I shoot Medium Format, its nice but also has a pretty tough crop factor compared to Large Format. (As an interesting side note, The Swedish word for Full Format is "Small Picture" since Full Format 35mm has such a huge crop factor compared to standard (large) format and Medium. Large, Medium and Small (FF). )
  11. Looking forward to the results, thanks for keeping us posted.
  12. Don't know if I recommend it but my test gave me enough confidence to use it if slowmo is very important for a project/client, the clip isn't to long and meant for web publishing. Here's the test, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mz6e6zZi8Z8
  13. Quick review of my Zeiss Tevidons. Not as cheap as my cheapest Zeiss Glass but still affordable compared to modern glass.
  14. Im with you. The Micro is more exciting and more likely to be my next buy than any of the Sonys. In my book Raw trumps 4K. (and yes I like 4K just as much as the next guy, have bought 3 4k cameras so far.)
  15. Where did he or anyone else claim it to be sharp and who said anything about shooting at T1.5? Just trying to see the point of your post.
  16. I've had and posted examples of moire (which is a form of aliasing) in 4k. And downscaling will only make it worse. It's not a big deal, not often, I just didn't agree that downscaling removed it.
  17. Never used a Speedbooster so I can't tell you, sorry.
  18. I don't deny it My guess to why is something in the in camera downsampling.
  19. The Canon is great, to bad it can't be used on the NX because of the electronic focus. Otherwise it would have been my main pick. I used it on my FS100 with an electronic adapter and the BMCC Ef with great results.
  20. Plenty. I have a super sharp $10 Yashica 50mm f1.9. Works great on the NX1. Here is a 4K sample. Also the Zeiss 50mm and Tokina 24mm in this goes on the NX and cost less than $20. This would also work. Bought it twice, both times for less than $15.
  21. You do what you want but a camera man that I hire will be fired if I hear that he/she mouthed of to a client and didn't respect their opinion and wishes. And for me a nice image quality is as measurable as what ice-cream flavor that tastes the best. Depends on who you ask. My test is hard evidence and is showing it in an undisputable way. All images got votes. So no image was "best".
  22. The flange is to long on NX. No such adapter without optical element. Would also vignette quite badly. It probably would have covered the NX500s crop pretty good if such an adapter existed.
