  1. So you turn the IBIS of, simple. And again, what camera in the world doesn't get jello in that example besides a non stabilized camera with global shutter? :)
  2. But what lens stabilization or in camera stabilization are you comparing to that allows you to get smooth video while walking downs stairs? I know of no such lens or camera.
  3. I have an extra BMPCC for sale for $500. The low price is because like on many if not most of them, the hdmi is glitchy. I have to hold the cable in a certain spot to get image in my external monitor. Haven't noticed since I never ever use anything but the internal display. Don't even know when it happened. Can throw in a fist full of batteries
  4. The IBIS in the E-M5 I had was way better than the stabilization in any lens or camcorder I've ever come across. So imo IS isn't better than IBIS, it's just that Sony didn't implement it that well.
  5. Thats great Ed, really like the stuff you do and the looks you get. Very cool.
  6. I have, there is some shots with them on the pocket in the unboxing video. But I will probably use them more on it soon.
  7. That would make the first option $26 for stabilization. Think most would find that a good deal.
  8. I don't know what they are called but the little orange dots
  9. Yeah, even if they vignette a bit more I think they win. I also simply love the way they are built. Those focus distance markers are engineer brilliance.
  10. Some footage from those Kern-Paillards mentioned earlier.
  11. m4/3 on s35 is a genius idea. Its been requested by Blackmagic users for years and now when JVC has released it I think a lot of people see the potential. Having s35, m4/3, s16 all in one camera.
  12. I wasn't aware the Shogun already got its Raw update? Either way the answer is no.
  13. If someone offered me an A7rii or a A7s+5Diii I would choose the later. But that's just me.
  14. Have some test frames from the cheap Kern-Paillards I posted earlier.
  15. Can church of magic cure Moire? If so, count me in.
  16. Well that writer should specify which country he is talking about
  17. Same here, and I don't know where he got 5% from. Where I live it's 14%. Off topic, It's funny how some say "Europe", "Africa" or "America" like it was just a country
  18. Premiere can also import and edit raw. Works great on my old Mac Mini with a modest graphics card and only 8gb ram. I use Resolve on a MBP and a PC laptop. Flows very smoothly on both.
  19. I don't think you're being a dick, I wasn't even aware that it was an argument. I mean we both are paying customers of Premiere I like the tracker, the node based workflow instead of layers, the secondary but most of all the way everything like tabs, functions and everything is layed out. I guess it just grew on me the last year and Premiere which I've used since 2009 isn't as "intuitive" (lack of a better word) anymore.
  20. That might be a reason as well. But any cost is bigger than no cost
  21. Well, the rest of it. It's a bit to late for me to be impressed with a couple of sliders added when Resolve has a full blown color grade suite and an editing suite. If this was added last year when I thought it was going to be, it would have been really cool. But the only difference this update does for my workflow in Premiere is remove one render. But that render was already removed for most projects by Resolve 11. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice update and all and I'm glad I have it. It's just that the last three updates have been a bit.. Njae. And in the meantime Resolve has become the one program NLE/color suite I was hoping for.
  22. My guess, It costs more to manufacture two models with two names, separate boxes, firmware, manuals and so on when they can just make one. It will of course upset a few enthusiasts like us here and there but the absolute majority of camera buyers couldn't care less.
