Nikon D750 has a great 60fps mode with no crop. Some lower end nikons are great with this as well.
but no 120fps

does full frame correspond to this? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/35_mm_film
no that is equal to super 35mm cameras. full frame is 36x24

It wouldn't be quite the rip off it is if Sony had done what they should have done.
Announce the A6300 and A6500 TOGETHER at the same time and likewise back when the A7R II was announced, release it with the A7S II at the same time, allow us to make a choice and to buy just one, not stumble into the A7R II or A6300 then end up buying the A6500 or A7S II as well because they're better specced for video...
I actually think as a sales tactic this is disastrous and we will tire of it very quickly.
They have maintained this illusion of constant technological progress... if you think however that in the 6 months between the A6300 and A6500 suddenly Sony invented 5 axis image stabilisation and a touch screen you are mistaken.
They tried that with the a7 and a7r, im sure they looked at the numbers from that and decided that what they are doing now is more profitable.

Anybody else seen this yet? Amazing resource! Pleased they put the Nikons in there, although I did question the 28mm 1.4 ai-s as pretty sure that doesn't exist. They are hoping to expand it over time, includes zooms etc. Side by side at the bottom:
its probably the 28mm f1.4 AF-D

Tokina 28-70 F2.8, Tokina 100-300 F4 (it's a bit of a beast), a Tamron ultrawide, a Tamron macro 90mm, minolta 50mm 1.7, and a couple of others.
im sure you can sell your lenses on ebay and buy the nikon/canon versionof them there with very small loss of money.

Yes, I recall the problem with that is that due to flange distance or something, you cannot get an adapter unless it has an additional piece of glass. I'm concerned enough with the glass in the booster, so that would probably not be wise. Maybe it is time to bite the bullet and ditch the Sony/Minolta glass.
Cinegain and BrorSvensson, thanks for the replies!
yes the minolta/a mount is on its last legs, what are the lenses you own?

Find out if Sony/Minolta MA adapts to a Canon or Nikon mount. Then get a speedbooster for that mount and use it with an additional adapter.
But what I think is that you'll need the adapter itself to have optical correction to allow for infinity focus. Which is a bad bad idea to use as these degrade image quality.
theres plenty of manual adapters for the sony a lenses, just not any electronic

i'm not looking for the older minolta md speedboosters, and I don't see anything for the Sony Alpha ones. I did search first you know.. I was hoping someone had communications from Metabones on what their plans are, or some obscure company has put one out.
well the sony a mount is pretty dead so im 99% sure no one will make a electronic speedbooster for those lenses when there are already nikon and canon ones

little more test footage, looks soft but very clean in terms of moire and aliasing

I strongly dislike the fisheye look of the gopro's and the straightening out effect gives very smeary and unsharp corners.

is the 2.5x crop true? -

Hmm, the fact that they're giving the G8 weather proofing and a magnesium body may indicate a higher release price than the G7. I think this may be an indicator of the new Panasonic pricing. G80(8) will be $1299 + and the GH5 will be $2000 +
i highly doubt they would make an m4/3 ILC for more than 2000$

Where's the Flog footage? I expected to see a flood of new Flog clips now that the camera is in the wild.
i seems like its mostly stills photographers who has the camera so far, not many of them own an atomos or other 4k hdmi recoders

shoot in 1/100, yes you can insert 25p.

2.5K mode on the NX500. Very impressive RS performance.
thats amazing!

the bummer though is that the motion looks awful because it blends the 2 frames that are taken 1/60th of a second apart.
