  1. I'm waiting for the price to drop anyhow, no rush. : )
  2. Love the commentary, you should consider producing meditational audio tapes.
  3. The 120 fps is unrivaled in its price range, a lot better than the NX1 even.
  4. Hmm, that'd really suck, was hoping to be able use it for astro time lapse and stuff.
  5. I like it! Will probably make it a cheap pickup some time down the road.
  6. Not after 30 minutes of continuous recording and I doubt it's generally much of an issue, the sensor is small and the body quite substantial. The camera has never felt too hot, either.
  7. Thanks and sure. : ) Camera settings: Kholi's A7s Cine2/Pro PicPro (PP6) Black Level: -11 Gamma Slog: Cine2 Black Gamma > Range: Wide , Level: +7 Knee > Mode: Manual , Auto Set > Max Point: 95 , Sensitivity: Mid, Manual Set > Point: 105%, Slope: 0 Colore Mode: Pro Saturation: +6 Color Phase -3 Color Depth > R+3, G-3, B+1,, C-3, M-2, Y-5 Detail > Level, -5 Adjust > Mode; Manual, V/H Balance: -2, B/W Balance Type3, Limit: 0, Crispening:0, hi_light Detail: 0 White balance > Manual > Grid setting B 1 (one to the left) -- Software: Premiere Pro, filmconvert (Arri Alexa DCIP3), bit of Lumetri (really loving the new PP).
  8. Aah, checked again on my PC (thought this to be an issue with the Intel HD Graphics on my Lenovo, 1.75 GB of RAM for video isn't too much, after all), but I've just realized I had 1080p as project settings. I'm one of those lazy users who'd expect to get a message whether I want to change the project settings to fit to the clip. Anyhow, I do have to admit, with the way the new Premiere Pro works with the integrated Lumetri panel, I don't see me using Resolve atm. It just got so simple and seamless with PP and except for a hangup every now and then, the performance is really good.
  9. I have the paid version and tried both, no luck.
  10. Agree 100 %, it makes so much sense if you run around all by yourself. Just frame, touch where you want the focus and shoot.
  11. It doesn't. Intel HD Graphics has no CUDA. I am running Win 10, though, might make a difference with DirectX 12. Can't seem to render out 4K clips, though. Will try some more later.
  12. I wouldn't go with the Sony as an only cam, it's good to have access to a larger sensor. NX1 is a great cam, but does take that little bit of extra work in post. GH4 is most flexible with the great touch screen and everything.
  13. Oh, and Dupieux, I love Dupieux! Just going for it and making idiotic ideas into something.
  14. Don't know if this is relevant to you, but Resolve 12 is now running without special 3D graphics cards as stated above. 11 didn't work at all on my Lenovo with HD Graphics 4400, but it now does.
  15. Being the lone wolf I am, I'm probably not going to have anything going in the near future, but if I can get my shit together, it's probably going to be some short film that's either really disgusting and sick or something light, simple and revealing. Or all of that at the same time. Or none of it and totally different. I'm pretty open to the (probably) dark future and thus not too inhibited by great ambition or the will to please. What artists do I like: Noé, Buñuel, Lang, Bergman, Keaton and stuff. Probably won't be too polished work, not enough patience for that. Will see. Most likely it will just be a lonely death for me without all the shebang beforehand.
  16. I haven't, but it wasn't overly warm after 27 or so minutes of 4K recording. Also I believe that due to the body ergonomics the RX10 isn't as overheating prone as the (even if improved) A7RII. Still, though, I'd never expect Canon reliability from the Sony. The lens does seem a bit frail for the long run imho.
  17. I want one, too! I'll try and wait a few months, though, price is too high for my taste.
  18. Again: I'd wait for an actual human being with an Asian model in hand to confirm it. Nvm, all that counts is that you're enjoying using the camera.
  19. Just the usual Copy Pasta from the Social Media imbeciles, wouldn't take it serious
  20. Whatever you choose, I believe it's important to have multiple cards (ideally with one Quadro-like card) and sufficient gfx RAM (2+ for 1080p, 4++ for 4K).
