check out this little Video. I shot it on a Gh4, a 360 degree camera and a gopro... Though the tiny world look is quite en vogue today we really tried to add something to it. Hope it works for some of you!
 

Oh yeah, I know. Jazzbox had mentioned he was considering selling his GH4 and other equipment to buy a C100...
See I really like the idea of these compacts for guerilla video. I never heard of the coolpix a... But I may want to pick one of them up when the used prices drop a little more too. It looks great. 

But then we're talking $900 (G85) vs. $4000 (c100 ii)...

Go with the C100ii.

Not an a7r, the original Crane does that. Some m4/3 cameras sure. Maybe a Em10ii or gx80. But you have to check the weight.
Batteries included as well as USB-charger on both. Dont know their names, look like over sized AA, thinner than A.

I had the Zhiyun Crane, good stuff. Right now Im testing an upcoming gimbal from them and they are definitely consistent in regards to quality. Works out of the box with minimal effort.
The Zhiyun also has an app, an external remote and cables to trigger various types of cameras as optional extras.

This looks like Zhiyun with accessories and better customer service? He mentions using the Zhiyun app to control it.
Not for C100 though.

Not completely sure if it is legit, even though, I'd dare to say we might find a Mavic touch there -- tap to focus will surely be pretty useful for a skyline:
On the discussion, it is plainly natural there are much more number of work pieces shot on Phantom or GoPro than Mavic to conclude anything on topic. Straight out of the box, Mavic footage is a way more cinematic because of manual focus and a softer outcome. I concur that some artificial edges are not welcome at all. My perspective too.

To me it is pretty good! The shot on the roof shows that moire is not too severe... so it is already a good point in my opinion.
Two days ago I shot a music video and there was also an operator with his Phantom 3 Pro, it seems more "digital" to me from the shots I have from it.

I only see some jerky movements here and there with slow motion, especially when the camera is pointed down (but maybe it is the compression from youtube) and some strange reflections when backlight, for the rest it is really impressive!

I use a lot the Ronin M with a 1Dx II. With the extension rod I got a good balance of the 1Dx II so that when I switch lens I only need to adjust the dove tail that takes between 30 sec and 2 minutes (16-35 2.8, 50 1.2, 24 1.4). A full camera rebalance like moving from a C100 to a GH4 it is much more time consuming. My first balance took me like 40 minutes.
The Ronin M works really well but be aware that it gets heavy quickly and you always need to carry around the support to rest the ronin during takes if not you will be dead after 15 minutes or soo…. I wish there was a way to put the ronin m down without this stupid tripod.
IMO is almost impossible to use it without and external LCD because you tend to use the gimbal at waist level so you cannot really see well the on camera lcd.
The ronin m supports a upside-down mode and there the camera tends to be at eye level but you need a camera that supports live image rotation because the camera will be hanging top down. The 1dx II supports this feature (although the overlay info are still upside-down). It is still hard to see the lcd but for an emergency is doable.
I power the external lcd from the ronin m to save some battery weight and having a single button to turn on screen and gimbal is a plus for me.
You will need to research a bit on the C100 II on the ronin m because I belive it has a bit of a problem with the C100 viewfinder but not sure the current status when using the extension rods.
I think a pistol grip style is already too hard for a GH4 + lens weight and is for sure a no go for a C100, it is already hard with two hands…

have a look on the new beholder EC1, apparently it solved the old DS1 problems and it takes a lot more weight.

That Pilotfly H2 would work pretty sweet, no? Single pistol grip, or configure it with the optional handlebar. Mount it onto something and remote control it. Came-TV has some similar stuff.
But my memory is pretty decent, so I remember you posting the following:

Is that ever going to work with a C100? Going from a Ronin-M to a Beholder DS1 is quite the stretch there...
Although, I did see a Pilotfly H2 being set-up with a Sony FS5, so who knows.

Not sure if you'd want to be walking around like that, though. Do you even lift bro? 
Dunno, for gimbal work, I'd probably stick to A7/GH-series or something. OR... if you must have that Canon swag, go get a Canon XC10/15.

I would buy the C100 MkII: it is a complete system with ND filter, audio inputs, good log codec etc... 

G7 would be perfect (I own it one that I use next to GH4), the only thing I don't like is the 28 mbps 1080, the focus peaking (the one one GH4 is far better, at least on the camera I have), the HDMI out... for the rest is an awesome 4K camera, the 4K codec is indistinguishable from the GH4's one.
