Thanks for using Pro Color on the video JazzBox.
I see you had contrast -5
It would have looked better with the optimal settings in the guide, which have contrast at 0.
When you set contrast to -5 it doesn't give you more dynamic range.
It reduces the amount of tones between one colour and another = Less colour information in the end result even when you add contrast in post.
This is EOSHD Pro Color for Panasonic with Contrast at 0 (optimal, as in guide):

And this is at contrast -5 (see how the tones on the face are mashed together?):

    Ciao!

This is a music video I shot with GH4 and G7 (both with Natural profile, saturation -5, contrast -5).
I shot it very quickly: two afternoon and an evening, one week between the 2 days of shooting and in that time I sold the GH4, so the second day of shooting was with the G7.

I shot all handheld without shoulder rig except for a part of the indoor shot with the voodoo witch, where I used a tripod while she mix the potion.
The drone scenes are shot on DJI Phantom 3 Professional (not mine, we called a pilot), which is a little too "digital" for my taste.

I used Andrew's EOSHD Pro Color for Panasonic and I'm really happy about the skin tones and the overall colors. I also used FilmConvert's Kodak Vision3 5207 with grain 20%.

    Thank you Andrew

p.s.: can you spot which is the GH4 and which is the G7?

Looked great, nice hand held work. Skin tones do look good with this lut. Didn't really spot the difference in cameras as the content got my attention.

I totally agree with Andrew: as guitar player I worked for 10 years in one of the best selling guitar magazine from Italy, AXE Magazine.
Our Editor always wanted the truth about the guitar's and gear's performance. No space for sponsored articles or "nice" reviews.
We had advertising but clearly visible like 1 page or half page or 1/4 page. No matter if Gibson or Fender could be offended by a sentence.
People and companies trusted us because we always try to test the guitars in their price tag and for the performances. Rarely we had problems, because if you separate the "professional" opinion from the relationship - that should be good exactly for that reason- it is always better for all.

I sold my GH4 and I'm using my 2nd body (G7, which is great, but I miss some extra features from the GH4) and look forward to buy the GH5 as soon as possible, of course if the images will be good

My production company produced this microbudget feature, shot on the GH4. Only have the :30 teaser available right now. But the feature will be released next year.

How about a thread of resources pointing to "frugal" films. Finished pieces made with smartphones, consumer camcorders, you get the picture. Not tests. Films. Because that what excites me most at the moment.  Here's a few pointers from me. You know how the internet works, I don't have to baby you with links ;-) Google : Ruslan Pelykh Leica, Boat Magazine iPhone, BFM TV Paris iPhone, Filmic Pro's video portfolio (Dark Waves especially), Tangerine (but everybody must have seen that by now), #mojo. My intuition says it's time to look at whats getting finished, broadcast, shared, simply but beautifully and take inspiration from that. Thoughts? Because 72 pages on how to get the best out of the GX80 / 85 just isn't right ;-)

Thanks for posting. I am safe. My thoughts are with the victims of this atrocity and the similar one in Nice, France earlier this year.
Was at the same Christmas market just a few days ago and it's near my girlfriend's place. I just hope that all of my friends here in Berlin are ok.
The market where it happened is right in the middle of the busiest shopping area of Berlin, in the west side of the city.
The Christmas market would have been packed at this time of year with families and friends after work.
There's a children's merry-go-round there, crafts stores and food, pancakes and mulled wine, German bratwurst, it's a very good natured place full of nice people and my heart goes out to the people killed and injured tonight.

People didn't try to do everything on their own in the professional video field of old.
For interviews it would be a team
A sound guy, a camera man and the actual interviewer.
If you're doing all 3 jobs and find it hard, no shame in that... it IS hard
Being a camera technician on top of the other 3 roles is just too much.
Get an Ice Light 2, keep the GH4, keep the tripod and lav, dump the rest.

Just shoot both in LOG mode and apply the same LUT to both, then tweak any differences.
But here's an even better suggestion... if you want cameras to match, buy two of the same cameras.
The main problem here is it it seems like you have been convinced by online marketing and advertorial that you need all this extra shit.
On the GH4 you don't need a v-mount battery for interviews...
Unless you consider changing the GH4's battery every 7 hours to be an unsurmountable problem.
You also don't need a cage or to attach anything to the GH4 at all, like a shotgun mic.
For interviews you should click a wireless lav mic onto the subject. Not use a mic on the camera.
XLR is also overkill for an interview. 3.5mm jack just fine.
    Problem solved.
You also don't need a monitor... the screen on the GH4 is just fine for interviews. Works as well as the screen which comes with the FS5, does it not? It's even a similar size! Guess that solves the cables part as well.
Speed Booster - I fail to see the hassle aspect of that. Attach lens. Film!
ND filters - for an interview? Were you filming it on the surface of the sun?
With such a small amount of movement if it is a locked down shot you wouldn't even notice if it was shot at 1/2000 anyway.
    Keep it simple.
Keep it simple and try again.
    Relax.
    Don't buy a C300.

    Thanks for the support.
If people don't agree with me on this, then I will at some point also cave in and do a run of big advertisements splashed on the site and regular sponsored articles. But if my readers say they're NOT fine with this, I won't. Simple as that. So speak up for the indies... not many advertising-free places left now on the internet.
It wasn't supposed to be this way online.
