  1. I'll try it tomorrow morining, but I only have an Eos to M43 Adapter, I have tried my 18 -35mm Sigma on my BMPCC but haven't recorded anything to sd card yet with it. I dont have a speedbooster, my sigma is canon, not sure if it will help you though?
  2. Your shooting through a window, you need to go outside and shoot a brickwall?
  3. Andy, Does the Mitakon EF - M43 work ok on the BMPCC?
  4. Hey Andy, What mount is your 80mm Biometar?
  5. This is doing the rounds....
  6. I need a really cheap Laptop or Notebook with USB3 ports. One for my 4gig Portable Harddrive and one for my USB3 SD Card reader. I'm not bothered if the CPU/Graphics is great but really only need this for Wrangling on site to clear SD Cards and check the Rushes for good audio and vision etc while on set. Thanks! ps. the cheaper the better!
  7. Oh it is for stills but will use it telephoto bokeh shots for video also. I don't shoot sports so the non IS canon looks good to me?
  8. I think I'm gonna save up and go with the F4 Canon 70 -200mm which is $650 new.
  9. Speedbooster EF - M43? Has anyone heard anything on the grapevine yet? I ask because I've been holding back on buying a Sigma 18 -35mm because I'd prefer to buy it EF and not go down the Nikon route with the Nikon Speedbooster for my BMPCC. I sent metabones an email in Jan but no reply, must be the most secretive company, you can't even email them unless it's a question they want to answer!!
  10. There's no such thing as a perfect Forum, but honestly as a Film and TV Student, this is best crowd of ppl on the planet if you really want to know what is actually happening in terms of camera technology and production values and technique, and all the Pro's here are only too happy to pass on their knowledge and experience. You can spot the dissenters here a mile away because of their competitive tone and besides everyone else is always so nice, helpful and friendly! I think that's worth protecting!!
  11. Here is some of my music, this is stuff I have put up that my friends wanted to hear but I have alot of other songs,
  12. I'm after an EF 70 - 200mm Zoom Lens but as a fulltime Student can't afford a Canon IS 70 - 200mm for both stills and Video. Has anyone been down this road and recommend the best bang for buck?
  13. Yes 2 adapters will work fine, I have done it, no issues!
  14. I use Avid Media Composer and Hit Film 2.
  15. So is this adapter Andy posted any good or not? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360844545884?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  16. Most Kiron Lenses are Top Notch. Nikon E Series were actually made by Kiron and the original Vivitar Series 1. Vivitar started naming all their lenses Series 1 to cash in so you have check the serial numbers, can't remember atm...google it. Ex Nikon employees who went out and started their own company.
  17. In no particular order. These were stories that interested me throughout the movie, seamless cinematography ie. visually told the story without any crunches thru the gears and were highly ambitious visually and emotionally. They all surprised me at how good they were and resonated with me somehow. Some were visually stunning, some not so much, but all of them were subordinate to telling the story I think. 1.Saving Pvt Ryan 2.Blade Runner 3.Alien 4.Barry Lyndon 5.Magnolia 6.There Will be Blood 7.The Departed 8.No Country for Old Men 9.I am Legend 10.The Road (Perfume would have made the list except the scenes with Dustin Hoffman who was miscast and sounded like a stupid american tourist and spoiled an otherwise great movie!!)
  18. I have the Zeis Jena 35mm 2.4f and it is very sharp and has a beautiful image but its not as sharp as modern lenses imo. It's not inferior to modern lenses but I wouldn't want anyone thinking they were getting something comparable to expensive modern glass. Don't get me wrong though, if you find one grab it, worth every penny, makes everything pop, in the right hands!! Best lens I own at the moment!
  19. Yeah I have the Canon FD 28mm 2.8f and 50mm 1.4f, I was blown away how sharp these lenses are and the colours are great too.
  20. Which is the better to edit on? I am DOP for a student film and we are shooting on a F3 and can record on the camera in SLOG or use the AJA and record in ProRes 422. Our Teacher wants us to use the Sony Picture Styles with all the saturation bumped up etc which is the opposite of everything I know about DSLR shooting ie no sharpening and desaturate but I don't know anything about the F3? Would love any advice to approach this thanks. The Film will be shot in a Professional TV Studio in a closed set consisting of Living Room and Bedroom.
  21. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/201020964206?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 $105 AUD. Anyone tried one of these yet? EF to M43 Speedbooster adapter.
  22. You need a constant aperture zoom or a manual lens I'm afraid.
  23. Has no one seen this before? http://www.metabones.com/products/details/MB_SPFD-m43-BM1
  24. What is a good all rounder Light for someone starting out that isn't crap but won't break the bank? It is so confusing and all the Lights I've seen cost more more than my Camera's, what do you buy to start out that works?
