  1. I had recently 2 awful experiences as a buyer, with this quite new "shipping+taxes" option (or "Global Shipping Program") that eBay uses: I bought the first item and eBay's shipping company had it for days in their storage place, without never contacting me for delivery. I tried to contact them, and I had to pay for the call €5 (~$6.5), as they charge €1.34 the call, then 0.36/min and they have you waiting for at least 10-12min, without finally accepting your call, with the excuse that the lines are too busy and that you'll have to call later again... Finally, one day, they came to deliver, but without even ringing my bell, they put it (a signed-for shipment) inside my box... The second one, they never delivered any parcel, but their tracking status indicates that they did delivered to my hands and that they've put my name as the person who received the parcel... When I opened a dispute on PayPal for this, Paypal in dt time, closed the case, with the excuse that they can't help on this and that I have to find a solution with the seller!... In any other similar case, if the seller had shipped via any other carrier, they could ask him to show them (to PayPal) the proof of delivery, asking this from the shipping carrier... If the shipping company couldn't prove that they had my real signature, then the money had to be returned to me. But as this new company is eBay's (so & PayPal's) business, they of course closed their eyes, as they can't blame their own company. SO, I lost $273.76... I will NEVER-EVER buy any item from sellers that they are using this "Global Shipping Program" again! NEVER! I've found though that there are hundreds of others with similar, like mine, problems... If you are selling on eBay and you want to avoid any negative feedback caused by similar cases, never use this option again please. To be able to do so, please follow this next steps, to block this shipping option from your sales: Your ebay>>account>>site preferences>>posting and packaging preferences>Offer the Global Shipping Programme, then on the right hand side of the screen change yes to NO and save changes. By the way I have to say that, with this "Global Shipping Program", buyers are paying more on import taxes, than if they had to pay straight to their customs... That's all from me.

  3. I'm in as I've said already, I like the test results, just a note: when they made the first copies of their VM 1.5x anamorphic, I bought one and the results weren't so good. Hopefully, the second/recent/newest example that they made, was much better... So, based on this experience, I'm not sure if in the (not far from now) future, they will make an even better copy of the FM too. And all of us who will buy the first examples will run to sell them so to buy the evolution of the first FM examples... Just my thoughts ;)
  4. The Rectimascope from the ad you mentioned on Ebay, in action:
  5. Hi all, A footage with the GH4 in 4K anamorphic, using the baby Iscomorphot 8/1.5x. In only one shot, I used a Tokina +0.4 achromat diopter. All shots at f/2.8! Lens was the Nikon 50mm f/1.8 Series E, along with the Metabones Speed Booster. Both this lovely anamorphic & the Tokina are for sale. PM for details. Enjoy!

    Is this kowa

It is a Bell & Howell. It looks like a Bolex as you say, but it's also looks like Sankor/Singer (16D & 16F), but all of them are having the exact same design, so made maybe under the same company...
  7. Me too (but before that I need some video-tests to be done).
  8. Andrew, do you remember widest aperture you used with this?
  9. Based on his anamorphic's price, the focus module will have a good price too.
  10. There's nothing better than the Redstan clamps on this planet. The End.
  11. No, but for the price they sell I could give it a try. The only -, is that usually comes at 52mm.
  12. the lens gives really nice images, I saw your video & it's very cinematic indeed. & you are right: 1.5x is far more desirable than 2x, as Iscorama 1.33x is, against the Iscorama 1.5x... things are like that... Good luck with your sale. by the way, your nikon lens is f1.8, not f1.7 that you write in video's info.
  13. Glad that you turned my idea into a real project Andrew :)
  14. Oh Seb, that was stunning, better than being at Scala di Milano :) Excellent !
  15. Some of us have seeing this ad on Ebay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201100412876), which is also have being mentioned here (). I have sent 2 messages the last 3 days to the seller, asking for some detailed photos, as the ones he has on his ad are terribly bad. Never received a reply... The listing is ending tonight, so just be aware anyone that thinking to invest his money on it... UPDATE 1: Just 32 minutes after this post, I took a reply that he will send photos. UPDATE 2: The photos he sent finally was just two. One with the lens' mount and one just the body... But none from the optics as I demanded... And also those 2 that he sent, they are worst than the ones he has already on the listing... Including this message: " Ok...I veiwed the lens better...found a small minute nick the size of the tip of a tooth pick and no heavy ar deep scratches or scrapes...All in all...this lens is better than others that I have veiwed on Ebay. Most seem to have scrapings along the side from focousing the lens. I will send the couple I just took, but the are a little blurred..I will see if outside works better for tis vizio digitol I use for ebay".
  16. Nice work, which Kowa did you use?
  17. It is a great little lens, very rare and it's same size with baby Iscomorphot. I love this lens, it produces nice clean images and it's dual focus...
  18. I have sent 2 messages at this guy asking for proper photos, as it's very suspicious that he had those bad photos for an item of this value... No reply at all... So, be careful and think twice if anyone is going to invest there... As Ebay have been hacked recently, it's not far from reality that someone else is using this 100% feedback right now...
  19. Second (crazy) quick test of the Moller 30/2x, this time on the BMPCC, with a Lumix II 20mm! Yes, 2x anamorphic with 20mm lens :). Camera's ISO @800, lens' aperture is @f/1.7 fully wide open and the image is crispy clear... Video mode on the BMPCC. It is very visible that with the Lumix we can notice some amount of distortion... Or I do something wrong maybe? The distortion may be corrected in post, so the Moller is the first (known to me at least) 2x anamorphic that can be used with such a wide angle lens. (Sorry for the missed-focus seconds, but I had my mind on the Anamorphot, as I had it on the rig without clamps or any other kind of support, it was just in front of the Lumix lens).
